Nice video! I'm having a little pest situation of my own and thinking of investing in an air gun, what setup gun / ammo combo on a budget do you recommend to do the trick? I don't really know anything about air guns, I'm looking into the Gamo Socom 4.5 tactical, would this do the trick? I can't even hang the clothes outside to dry since they will end up full of pigeon poo, starting to get on my nerves... Thanks a lot for your help.
Hey, buddy. Airguns are a complicated topic altogether, and so is the sport/hobby of shooting. I personally shoot PCP airguns (stands for "pre-charged pneumatic"), which are the more complex design, more accurate and more reliable airguns. Higher price too. The Gamo you're referring to is what we call a "break barrel" airgun, or a "springer", although it has a gas piston instead of a spring. Pigeons are an easy target on buildings. If you intend to shoot close range, then after a little practice and getting used to shooting the gun, you should be able to successfully target the flying rats. If you ask me if it has the sufficient power to take them down - yes, it does, even in this small caliber, if you shoot close to medium range. Be careful, shoot safe and I suggest you practice a little before getting to shoot live targets. Reading some of the basics on airgun forums and/or watching KZhead videos will bring a better understanding of anything airgun related, and perhaps even turn you into a passionate and devoted shooter :)
Nice to see accurate shooting. People might think "it's just pest control, let them suffer", but making such clean shots to get rid of the pests and end them immediately is pretty humane thing to do. That's what I always point out to new bow buyers who are thinking about going for a hunt: never practice with animal. Be sure your shot lands where it needs to. The place I work in (sells all kinds of hunting stuff from fire arms to bows etc) is pretty strict about hunting with as little suffering to the animal as possible. This is a good video because it shows that people who kill pests don't make even those pests suffer. It's a job that needs to be done, not some "OMG u monster!!!", like some ignorant people might think. Well done and well placed shots 👍
Thank you, friend 🙂 It's a pleasure to get such comments from people who actually know what they're talking about. Usually I have to deal with trolls who have no idea what we do and why, and wouldn't even listen or care to watch carefully. @@AirRifleActivities Those people only see the movement after shot and think the animal is still alive, but fail to understand that it's completely lights out and only the nervous system is sending signals after the shock. Hey, buddy. First of all, thanks for watching 👍 I'm afraid I can't give you an honest opinion as I've never shot this gun. I know it's a break barrel, and I prefer shooting PCPs. My advice to you would be to watch some videos and see how to replace some of the parts on this gun if it's been left for a long time just lying around somewhere. One thing you'll have to replace almost certainly is the piston seal. You can also take it to a gun smith if you have such anywhere close to you - if he's worth his salt, he'll know what to do.

It's my first time watching some kind of video like this I I have one question by shooting at them does it kill them or something?
Of course, it does. That's the point, it's pest control, culling birds that pose a health issue at farms and granaries.

It's adjustable. The Edgun was set to 880 fps with the 34 grain JSB diabolos.

Hey! First things first, nice video, but can you explain something to me please? Why hunters never shoot a second bullet to a wounded animal to end it's pain? Especially if they are not going to eat it.
First of all, thank you for the positive feedback 🙂 Second - you're mistaken. Me and my boys always take follow up shots whenever necessary. With head shots all this flapping around you see is the birds nervous system shutting down. It's dead upon the very moment of the impact, hence the lack of a second shot.

Wouldn't it be less trouble and more clever to design a silo with a smooth, slippery external surface to prevent pigeons from landing on it in the first place?
The surface is smooth and slippery and yet they land on it. Sometimes they slide a little but they deploy their talons and still perch there. But that's not the major issue. They defecate all over the place and on the grain itself, especially the livestock fodder. Also on the grain we people eat when it's being loaded and unloaded. They are attracted by the sound of machinery, they know it means fresh food. It's hard to believe there is no other way until you visit one of these places and see for yourself. In the future there may be some high tech solution, but I wonder at what price? And buyers keep complaining that the prices of grain products keep rising - the struggle against pests of all sorts make for a considerable part of that increase.
It would also be prohibitively expencive to rebuild and redesign an entire new silo. Passive measures have a low rate of success for these birds too. they simply don't care. Nevermind that, if you are good enough, pigeons are nice meals too.

The Gamo is a .22, the Edgun is a .25 cal, the scope is an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 FFP Mil. Thanks, mate 🙂
Great shooting, 🥴🤪head shots thick and fast, still laugh when they thump the ground, well done 👍😎
Thanks, David, they do make for some spectacular footage ☺️ Cheers, bud!
You should try to shoot more in the head. I know it‘s difficult but if they are living and falling down, that‘s not right. But there are some awesome headshots! Thanks for the vid
Thank you too. Tell me, please, which one of the shots was not humane enough in your opinion? I'll try to explain what happened and why 🙂
I 100% DISAGREE!! Body shots are essentially a guaranteed kill. A high tuned .22 or .25 is shooting 80-110ft/lb and any hollow point will explode the lungs/heart. And death will be certain. However, missing a headshot (due to the accuracy needed (in high wind and steep elevation) taking a beak off is just cruel and the bird will suffer. So body shots in my opinion, bc death is certain with a skilled shooter, are much more humane. Headshots are fine under 40 or so yards. That said, every shot on this video was humane! But would an inhumane shot be put on video?! 🤷🏼♂️
@@KevinWood44 thanks for your extensive comment, buddy. I also prefer heart and lung shots. But you should bear in mind one thing - at high velocities with airguns a hollow point would pretty often makes a clear pass through - tested. Thank you amd have a Happy New Year.
@@AirRifleActivities I didnt mean any offense pal, I was disagreeing w the orgin comment of more headshots 90% of people watching should aim for the body, but you're a superb shot, I'm sure you dispense of the birds ethically. I'm not a Karen or an animal rights activist lol Idc where you shoot them. I would personally aim for the largest target, I'd hate to pull a head shot and clip a beak. Whereas if I pull a lung shot it stick does enough damage to kill the bird. I'm not also not as good of a shot as you.
@@KevinWood44 buddy, no offense taken at all ☺️ And I must say I agree with everything you just said. I also think heart and lung shots are much more practical and ethical. That thing you said about clipping when aiming at the head is also absolutely true. And they're more practical because all the flapping and rolling following a head shot alerts not only pigeons, butt all other species in the immediate vicinity 😅 Let alone some passers by or workers thinking that I'm actually torturing the birds. I do a head shot video every now and then because viewers find it more challenging and spectacular. Some think it's more ethical too.
do they die with the bullet or because of the impact to the ground?
The projectile impact is what dispatches them, no two ways about it. Falling from 80-90 feet won't kill a pigeon - it's just not heavy enough. Those are pellets, by the way, we're shooting air guns.
@@AirRifleActivities ok thanks for sharing
Which aisoft pistola you can recommend to use? Cause rifles and scopes are expensive in Ukraine now, it is easier to find a tank or grenade now 😂😂
Oh, man... I really don't know what to say... Never used an Airsoft gun for pigeon culling... I doubt such a gun packs enough punch to kill a pigeon. Those are PCP airguns we shoot.
@@AirRifleActivities aahh, i see, understood )) Thanks. So airsoft on close distance u think is enough for them, cause some of my neighbors is protecting this "flying rats" and they make too much trooubles, anyway this stupid birds, i think will after come back again..))

Thank you, Chris ☺️ This skyrat stood there while we shot 2 of his buddies and didn't even flinch 😉

Good evening, what weapon do you use, can you give me the link of the weapon
Hey, buddy. Here's a link and thanks for watching: www.edgun.shop/collections/edgun-matador-r5m/products/edgun-matador-r5m-standard?variant=20881604935739
Great shots! These people complaining just don’t understand the purpose behind it. Great shots nonetheless! Keep it up!
Thanks a mil, mate 🤝 It's great to have you watching and expressing your support!
Mannn..i love it
Thanks, buddy 👍
I love the “ THWACK “ sound they make when they hit the ground!!! It’s Strangely satisfying !! They say it’s not the fall that kills you. It’s the sudden stop!!! So it’s nice to know they’re already dead when the hit the ground.
They sure are, buddy. My .25 cal has a devastating effect on birds. Thank you for the nice comment and for watching ☺️🤝
Air Rifle Activities It’s like hitting them with a howitzer!!! LOL🤣
Double the lethality pellet and a 3 second drop time ouch lol
@@Danny-eh8us, makes for a certain kill every time 😉
in a paralel universe pigeons are shooting people with air rifles :D
Perhaps, who knows 😉
Good clean kills mate! You’ve got skills
Thank you, James. It really means a lot. After all the trash talk I get from people who do not know what a head shot is.
As someone who got paid to do pest control on my neighbors farms, These are very good shots! I love reading all the hate comments haha they make me laugh! Keep up the good work mate, this job has to be done!
Thank you, brother, it's nice to talk to a fellow pest shooter 🙂
@@AirRifleActivities what pellet gun are you using? I’m using a Sheridan 50th anniversary edition, it was given to me by my grandpa. It’s amazing.
@@PlagueGirl the one I used in this video is an Edgun Matador R5M. 25.
COD : Pigeon Warfare
Many episodes of it on the channel, thanks 😊
Hi, you made a very good video and I read the comments and I just can't stop thinking how many people are watching your video
Thanks, buddy, it's an older video of mine and apparently people like it. Thank you for watching too 🙂
I saw the thumbnail and in my brain it just played the meme "we will be right back"
Can't say I know what that meme is, but thanks for the visit, bud 🙂
What gun is this? Its extremely accurate
Thanks, mate. That's an Edgun Matador R5M Standard .25 cal. You can see details at edgun.shop. Cheers.

i loved the video bro very huntsman like - pardon me for asking this but "i wonder if the cats were very happy with day's result"???? keep videos like coming PLEASE 🙏
They were and they still are, only there are no pigeons left at that place, we removed them all 🤷♂️ Thank you for watching, mate, many more videos on my channel and more on the way 🙂
Have you eaten the things you kill? Like pigeon stew or eating a pigeon like a chicken?
Yes, I have, although cooking pigeons is quite different from cooking chicken 🙂
The cat is eating so good that it's going to look like Garfield at the end of this video.
And some of them do look like Garfield in the winter 😄 Thanks for watching and the nice comment, buddy 👍
Eating with ammo in his body
@@cvalinn3627, no. The pellets are easy to locate, if they stay in the body at all.
I have found myself pressing an imaginary trigger watching this lol. What a great place to pest pigeons! NOTHING like an EDGUN :-), although the Gamo didn't do too bad for body shoots. Excellent shooting, all the more exciting to pest with "flip flops" lol I thought of Matt Dubber for a moment...
Thank you for the great comment, buddy ☺️ The Gamo does perform well for an entry level pcp and the Edgun is a great airgun.
0:51 He hit every tube on his way down! xD Like it's some cartoon. Hilarious!
😉 Thanks for watching, dude 👍
do you practice at aim lab or kovaak's? This is the best fragmovie I've ever seen!
Thanks, bud, I don't even know what these are 😉
Great video! At what speed are you shooting those 34 grainers?
Thanks, brother 🙂 Currently I shoot them at 830 fps.
@@AirRifleActivities damn that's allot of energy some where around 75nm. Should be more than enough for bird abatement.
@@justindunlap1235 yeah, bud, I keep such power levels on my guns to be sure that I'm able to pull off a humane kill at longer distances too - diabolo pellets lose their energy pretty fast.
7:20 - You can see the approaching pellet and impact.
That's the point of the slow mo, buddy 🙂
