The "It's afraid" scene was definitely in the film I saw.
Yeah thats what I was thinking too
But not the following kissing, right?
Yes 100%, I have that entire end scene on my VHS.
just the short kiss of carmen to carl war not in the original movie
and the kiss of carmen and johnny after private zim... she is very busy :D
Denise Richards was an absolute beauty when she was younger. Way before the countless amount of surgeries.
That seems to be a female trend in the pursuit of enhancing their beauty with surgeries they end up destroying their natural beauty to the point of no return. She looked the hottest in Wild Things. Lol. 😎
Hollywood Just like porn industries, ruined woman natural beauty
I mean, she still had some surgeries (at the time), just not as many. She probably never should've gotten any.
In this and James Bond,...
Is there anybody in the film industry who looks normal?
1:05 "you can't go anywhere if you don't know math" Well in about 15 years you become a general so...
Yeah, but a general in a fascist military where individuality is stripped turning people into soldier drones. Ever notice at the end of Starship Troopers, after Rico gives his speech "cmon you apes, do you wanna live forever?" the camera pulls out as he blends into the nameless faceless mass of soldiers charging headlong to their deaths like insect drones?
@@Metaljacket420you’re over thinking it

Battlefield attrition tends to provide advancement opertunity and can elevate the capable well beyond their station. Alot of pretty historically significant military figures were "mustangs" (service slang for an enlisted man who either by recomendation on merit goes to OCS or receives a battlefield commission and become commissioned officers) would Jonny have made general if the Bug war hadn't happened? Prolly not. Survival, taking inititive and doing ones duty typically proves you have a good head on your shoulders. Does an Infantry General officer really need to be good with advanced math?
imagine getting paid to kiss and cop a feel from a young denise richards. There are certainly worse acting jobs.
no shit right?!?!?! fuck going to second base, dude went to heaven. surprised he didnt drop dead on the spot from blood loss to his brain

@@hardmcshaft7931he did a shit ton of Syfy channel tvshows and movies. Hell he even got to do Starship Troopers 3 as Johnny Rico.
This girl just kisses whoever is near and has a crush on her. No loyalty to the one she's with, and no time of grief when she thinks she lost the one she supposedly loves.
I would have no problem if I am near her then lol
That’s the point, it’s a film that depicts duty and honor (satirically) as being above love, love which is totally void and empty of any passion.
When did she say “I love you” to anyone in the movie? What’s wrong with kissing and having sex with people you like? 😅
@@RudieObias if it's random it's called being a whore.
As thebigenchilada678 said, but not in the sense of duty or honor. It is satire about manipulation and dictatorship. As you can see, they all got their morals wrong - Carmen is opportunist, Ricko is naive. Some people don't care (like Carmen), some people do care, but too much and blindly (like Ricko). The main theme of the story is brainwashing by government through TV. They attacked alien species that is on the other side of the galaxy, which does not have any technology to attack Earth, but yet they attacked with an asteroid:) What dictatorships do is to create an enemy. You can control people by fear -> bugs. To send people to fight with bugs you need to have a motivation -> citizenship. This formula feeds itself, because people who survive the fight resent bugs and spread hate among other people -> hate, xenophobia. Analogy from reality: WWII -> Jews Putin's Russia -> NATO North Korea -> USA
it always bothered me that Carmen got an arachnid claw through the shoulder and she's walking around like it's only a scratch
it's the future and at this point the wars been going on a while. Plus in the FIRST counter-attack rico got his leg completely restored after being dragged back . If the auto-doc can do that on a local station/ship, on-location meds are likely to be pretty good by that point, plus the ongoing adrenaline rush of FINALLY having proof the bugs are not some implacable foe that vastly outnumbers them and can breed new warriors in weeks. Meanwhile humanity needs volunteer adults to fight when their "military" clearly didn't have significant combat in mind given their general lack of tanks, support/heavy weapons, mortars, ground based fast-movers, heavy bombers, proper dropship support beyond "cargo hauler with crate-attached" or proper combat-engineering tactics like trenches/embankments/star-forts/defence-in-depth.
Not to mention how her cheating was just forgotten just like that
That's because she's a Citizen
Okay so the real reason is, they were shooting scenes out of order. Her getting clawed through the shoulder was early production and she didn't get much direction for the injury when filming the victory scene
Her boob caught most of it.
The earliest example of "she's for the streets" that I can think of.
Hahaha this whole comment section is a gold mine, just trashing Carmen ... (but WOULD in a heartbeat as well)
@@freddiegibbs101 man I can't believe how slotty she was in that movie. The deleted scenes make her even worse lol
yeah even as a kid watching the movie I thaught why is he pining over that one.
Hello ❤
Eh, Helen of Troy maybe.
That Carmen! Doesn't even wait for her lover's corpse to get cold before jumping to the next one
jesus christ this girl pissed me off so much in the movie and with these deleted scenes too just adds to it
yeah they probably cut them because the audience would have hated her even more
@@HagmireThey did, test screenings showed that the audience hated the love drama and especially Carmen, so they cut it all out.
😂 Da stimme ich dir voll und ganz zu.
I think it was kind of the point of that story-line - to show how shallow and pseudo-romantic love stories are in some movies.
@Featinwe the thing is, that it wasnt really romantic... she is a giant red flag and he joined a career that could kill him every workday... just because of her.... and if this isn't enough, she went to bed with another digg for her very first time and still keeping him warm until she is old and ugly may be.. lol Sad story, poor Jonny 😢
Should have kept the first clip to explore the tension between citizens and civilians in the Federation.
These deleted scenes make Carmen look even worse as a character. Playing both Johnny and Zander like that. PLus it looks, at least to me, that she only dated Johnny because her Father did not like his family. Sort of a rebellious phase for her.
Paul Verhoeven made a masterpiece. Yeah it´s different than the books, bit it such an awesome satire. The mobile infantry made me the man I am today. 😂
Feels like a high school teen sitcom even more
We had Beverly Hills 90210 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer to teach us what high school in the US was like way back in the 90's.
I think that’s the point 😅
Jus as planned
It feels exactly like how Verhoven wanted it to feel; like the vacuous soap opera propaganda this kind of regime would make. And when we are caught up in it and cheer for it, what does that say about our society?
This jogs my memory. All these scenes feature Carmen because test audiences hated Carmen and they had to cut out/change a bunch of scenes so people would hate her less. Kinda agree. Dizzy should have lived.
Yeah. But, as much as I like Dina Meyer, young Denise Richards was an absolutely smokeshow. They should have known better than to write her like that if they wanted people to like her. I mean, yeah Rico hooked up with Dizzy but not until his CO damned near ordered him to. My boy was loyal, Carmen was an opportunist.
I'm not surprised the Carmen scenes were deleted. I already felt sorry for Johnny Rico, if these had stayed in I would have straight up hated her.
I already hated her in the movie, now I hate her even more lol)))

some definitely belong in the movie
That was part of the book they lost in the bad film adaptation
Would you like to know more?
I remember the scene with the capture of the brain to be in the movie. At least in the HBO version.
So Carmen would have gone from seeing her high school friend die, sleeping with her coworker, to then watching him get his brains sucked out of his skull, to then falling back in love with Rico? All within the 3rd act? That's wild
Not mentioning getting massive injuries in the fight but being totally fine mere minutes later.

@@aurigo_techmutant, sir! Maybe it is a reason for being ignored at school.
just your standard woman character in a Heinlein story
@@sable2146 ❤️hi❤️
This movie is stroke after stroke of pure genius. The satire mixed with straight forward elements is a recipe for storytelling that the modern age doesn't understand and is incapable of pulling off. Even the casting is a joke in itself. Paul VerHoeven is the best underrated director of all time.
Satire, my good friend. Satire. A satyr is a ... half goat folklore creature.
To be fair, even back then, many audiences and critics sadly did not get the satire part. The movie was accused of being pro-military, some critics even called it fascist… In US particularly, if a movie is kind of "tongue-in-cheek" and not a full-blown parody, audiences have a hard time getting it.
@@Minalkra thanks, darn autocorrect
@@Sherman_Dank good to know nothing has really changed. a whole bunch of dim minded people thought that helldivers 2 was very pro fascist. its an homage to starship troopers
If only they didn't touch "Starship Troopers" characters and name...
I’m glad they cut most of the jodi scenes
When your girl repeatedly refuses to kiss you and do it, it's already over - no need to wait for the other jock to show up.
She refused to kiss him because he was not a citizen and she didnt want to be seen as lesser of a person for being romantic with someone in a lesser station. The entire movie is based around fascism and propaganda. Social hierarchy or a caste system goes along with that. She was the daughter of citizens. He was the son of rich people who paid to avoid having to serve.
@@ruthl3ssstudio163 Right... If it were Brad Pitt she would also follow such a rule, I suppose? 😆
@@APolitically What? The actor is irrelevant. It's the writing of the story. That's the whole point. It's a repeating pattern within stories that go back generations. The young lovers have to stay in secret because they both belong to different classes and society and their families would not approve of their relationship.
@@ruthl3ssstudio163 🤦♂ I'm not talking about actors, I'm talking about real life! My point is if the girl were really into the guy, she would act differently. As in real life, it's no surprise that the girl in the movie became "confused" when an attractive new guy showed up.
Just a comment on dating here...
Thank you for posting this. I really feel these deleted scenes give us a more complete understanding of this movie.
Yes, absolutley- now i know, that she is quite a whore.
Rico got over Dizzy pretty fast
So did Carmen over Zander. I guess they are made for each other. 🤷♂
I guess when you’re in a galactic war with bugs with a survival rate of like 10% getting laid is more important.
So we could see her boobs again.
Yeh. That hurts.
Carmen got over Zander in like 20 mins after "they sucked his brains out."
Many relationship scenes were deleted
nice
Good. They were all jaaayyyy.

What more could you want?
You meant bugs, wh0res, and booms
she was always lovely to look at, but such a deplorable character.
I am pretty sure that the last two scenes (capturing the brain and the final "join the army" promo) were in the version of movie I ve seen before. But thanks for those ones at the start, the more young Richards the better!
I was thinking the same thing. I've seen this movie a dozen or more times and those scenes didn't look different from what I have watched.
The uploader just needed filler how to make the video longer, that last scene was in the movie. The earlier stuff in this upload were new to me
Yes, but Carmen kissing Carl and Jhonny were not in the final cut.
they were but trimmed down
Glad they cut these scenes. Was a good call.
Wondering how Zim was overlooked for promotion for capturing a brain bug. He should have been given a special field promotion just for that feat.
He refused it, he wanted to be back in the mud. Hence why he asks Frenkal to be busted down to Private after they let Rico stay in the M.I.
Well, it literally just happened. I'm sure he'd get his pick of assignments if he wanted.
To his credit, Zim wasn't comfortable sending kids off to the frontlines while staying home himself.
My man wanted to be at the tip of the spear - loved the basics and the action, didnt want all the official crap
Read the book
This completely blew my mind when it first came out. Saw it in the theater and it seemed like an eternity before the DVD and finally the Blu-ray were released.
Honestly I thought the actress playing Dizzy was hotter . She passed away some time ago . Denise was a very beautiful person physically that can't be argued. Some people are striking
Dina Meyer, who plays Dizzy Florez in the movie, is still alive. She hasn't been in a lot of high profile stuff since Starship Troopers but she revised the role of Dizzy in the 2017 animated movie, was Romulan commander Donatra in Star Trek Nemesis and was Batgirl/Oracle in the short lived TV series Birds of Prey. She also co-starred with Keanu Reeves in Johnny Mnemonic where she was a bodyguard and co-starred with Denis Quaid in Dragon heart. I've seen her in a few other things including a spy series that I forget the name of. But unless she passed away very recently she is still acting
Dina Meyer is still very much alive
Same here- she has a natural beauty, unlike the other girl- plastic surgery all over her- most disturbing is here nose- aka Michel Jackson style.
When i was a kid i didn't realize what's the bug mouth looks like 😅😅 but now i get it 😂😂
Yeah it's a butt pussy.
🍺🍺🍺👍
A drill instructor named Eugene Krabs.
i can see why they took it out, they had to streamline the movie. it runs well as a bug movie without the extra relationship scenes. it would also make dudes mad because carmen flip flops so much and it looks bad on women. i prefer that they didn't kiss at the end, in the release version they aren't the same people anymore and they might be fond of each other, but they're all professionals now on separate courses. kinda just makes rico look weak, he still needs her. also, it makes diz and xander pointless, like they didn't matter, they were sideshows and they're dead now so the real two can be together, fucked up for them
But that one scene where she tells him he cant come to her house is a big piece of the story. Their society has a social class system. If you become a citizen you are "better" then those that do not. And it also highlights what we see in the real world. Rich and wealthy people can circumvent a lot of society just be merely having money.
@@ruthl3ssstudio163 that part is true, adds a little bit of world flavor. still overall can be trimmed from the story though. so there's some prejudice about service. everyone we see in the movie is all about the service, there's nobody fighting the social situation. if they showed more dissent, then the scene would matter more. but the movie isn't about oppression, its about killing bugs. nuance was lost, but it becomes a more enjoyable movie for it
@@ruthl3ssstudio163 that is not true at all, being a citizen on Robert Heinlein's book wasn't celebrated or even really even incentived The only privileges it had were the franchise, holding political office and being able to teach, along with some expedience with paper work and a file/reputation aka credentials and experience which is already something we have today That scene should be cut because it makes no sense within the world that Heinlein wrote, her father looking down on Johnny because he wasn't a citizen 1. Makes no sense since neither him nor Carmen were 18 which is the legal age you have to be to sign up AND they didn't even graduate highschool, that would be like a US veteran saying "that 16 year old isn't a marine!" It's silky Also it would be a minority and rather strange opinion in the culture and society Heinlein wrote The director wanted to smear and discredit the book which is why he added scenes like that and like the "parent license" requirement which isn't in the book either In the book citizens are a minority of People and Rico's father even says it's a pointless and outdated system a "functionless organ" because he doesn't see the point in it when the vast majority of people just work normal careers in the private sector Being rich has nothing to do with it, yes they were wealthy but they didn't need to be a citizen to do that, nobody does it's not a economic benefit it's actually bad if all you want is money and property since it takes 2 or more years and can result in your death Civilians run the economy, hell most of the world it's just the state, military, politics and voting that is reserved for citizens
7:00 Bungie has to have taken inspiration from this for the MA5B assault rifle from Halo
was about to say!

Honestly, I'm glad they cut out the part of Rico kissing Carmen at the end. Carmen is the freakin' worst...
Hello ❤😊
Good deleted scenes
Carmen and Jhonny is too sweet almost felt my sugar in blood turns into diabetes
Absolutely one of the best movies of all time in my opinion. I've watched it dozens of times. One of the most widely misunderstood films of all time. I've seen the direct to video sequels as well. Not as good.
A defence of stratocracy.
A shoulder to cry one becomes a …. to ride on, she for da streets
OUTSTANDING!!
These were fully developed! Wow, one or two of these could have stayed
The only scene out of these they should have kept in is the very first one as it showed another element of how non-citizens were treated, was kind of an important note they should have kept in, the final cut only slightly glazed on that. The rest of the scenes were a bunch of teen drama crap, so glad they cut them, would have killed the movie.
Una película muy recomendable todavía hoy en día... Verhoeven en estado puro ;)
Oh shit! Carmen slept with Zander!!!! 🤯.
It made me punch a brick wall because I can definitely relate to Rico when I was in college. I was blueballed by a girl that I dated for two months. We made out a couple of times but she didn't want to have seggs because she felt like she "wasn't ready". Over the Christmas holidays I went home, she stayed on campus with some of her housemates. She met a guy while she was out clubbing towards new year eve and fucked him on that same night. I found out about this when one of her housemate told me she fucked a guy (an acquaintance I knew in college and had drinks with on the first semester) I was furious as fuck. I dont think I ever got over being betrayed this bad.
Man loved them all these movies. Especially Traitor of Mars.
Uncle Paul should make a sequel for this
Have the dvd since its release and never checked the extras First time seeing these deleted scenes
For Super Earth!
Damn, Rico just going full send in that second clip is wild 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funny as Carmen in the book isn't even Johnny's girlfriend she openly states she's content and happy to play the field and then when he reunites with her during the war she has a shaved head 😂 Rizzo is a guy and dies before the story even pops off.
리코역 맡은 남자주인공이 한국에 홍보차 온기억이 납니다 추억 돋네요.
I'm glad they cut out a lot of the relationship drama... that whole plotline was so weak.
I'm pretty sure everything form 4:00 were in the movie.
No its not... this shots are longer, with aditional dialogues. And in movie they are not kiss eachother
Glad those were cut.
Always been a fair bit of discussion about the rock that hit Buenos Aires, if the Bugs did it or not. In the movie they show nothing that would indicate that capability, apart from their ability to hurl spores across space to colonize new planets they seem completely planet bound.
All they told you about psychics is 'trust me they're real'. All they told you about humans moving stellar distances in days is one display in one scene that says 'stardrive'. Yet you aren't questioning those? They're on multiple planets in multiple star systems without technology. The Mormon planet wasn't in the Klendathu system. One subset evolved to project plasma into space as a weapon. Indicating a need to fight things in space or to bombard planets from moons, enough times for it to evolve (millions of years of it?). One subset evolved to translate the broken and gooified brain matter of alien species. We watched a main protagonist and a Navy ship captain track the rock back to it's origin and project it's path forward. No one in the scene gave any hint that it couldn't happen. They even feel it's so important that want to immediately warm Earth and the Fleet. There's more evidence for the bugs being able to do it than for human psychics or human interstellar travel.
Plus the asteroid wasn't traveling FTL - it would have taken millions of years to arrive from Klandathau.
@@tompearce5418 It was in the Oort Cloud. Brain Bugs could manipulate rocks from a across the galaxy...
The separation of the bug world and earth shown in the beginning of the film make the whole thing scientifically laughable. It would have been bugs a million years ago who were launching the asteroids. 😂 That's assuming the asteroids were travelling around 10% of light speed, which also would make no sense at all. It's definitely a film you don't want to think too scientifically about, but otherwise, a great movie. Absolutely loved it. Brilliant satire.
funny to see the 'most replayed' part of this vid 😄
Wow! I truly like this one.

Hi❤
The NTR is strong with this one my fellow Helldivers! ;P
The lady kissed almost every single soldier actually but it wasn’t possible due to the small length feature film..😂😂😂😂
Paul verhoeven is known as erotic thriller director, without relationship its felt a bit empty
team dizzy forever, thank goodness they cut those scenes out
nooooo after so many years i finally have seen the scene which proves that main heroine cheated main hero... damn...
2:48 Hard to believe this stayed on the cutting room floor, or any floor for that matter...
1:40 that one scene would have been ok in the final release. We generaly assume by watching the movie that she's aware that Rico is still alive, just because the viewer and the rougnecks are aware of it. It doesn't make the same impact when she comes to the rescue at the Outpost 29.
Show you have the courage to be free, join the helldivers
Love that Film. I think the first scene was in the film when it came out. The last scene was definitely in the cinema version.
Scene with the Bug, i saw it, all of it in movie BUT! i dont remember their kiss...anyway thanks! It was a good ride!
Hello ❤😊
Denise Richards was one of the 90s goddesses.
천재소년 두기 형님도 계셨죠👍✨️
Damn they really go all tongue straight up in the 90s lol But with Denise, I understand 😂
Fighting space bug with love and friendship? WE NEED THIS
Love these scenes. Shows more of the daily life of our hero and the world they are living in. Especially the park scene with the huge pyramid in the park and the music is fantastic. It also reinforces more the point that the girl is the only reason why Rico joined the army and why he is even still alive instead of staying in buenos aires and being vaporised. Cutting it all out was a giant L that led to countless stupid fantheories and videos Even makes xander look less like a absolute douche and their relationship suddenly just being there
Barney was in Starship Troopers! LOL I didn't realize that!
The anime version is also good
I think a few scenes were in the movie, but with slight variations. I believe in the brain bug scene, where Karl says it is afraid, most of it is in the movie, but not the kiss of Carmen to Karl. Still, a great movie and I'm not even sure, if I would have liked it better with the deleted scenes shedding more light on the relationship between Carmen and Rico.
Gracias ahora entiendo más la fribola relación de jonny y Carmen jejejeje...
I’m glad they used the kissing scene sounds for the Brain Bug noises. Yikes
They need to spread democracy :)
The music, the dialogues during the first 5 minutes of this video - It's a soap serie! 😅
Peliculón. Y serían mejor aun con esas escenas agregadas. Donde la encuentro completa?
Its good a lot of the romance subplot stuff got cut, it just did not keep the proper feel of the movie. I think if SST were a streaming series they could be worked in correctly but in what the movie had to be to be fun and entertaining they had to go.
I really shouldn’t love this movie so much.
Hell yeah!
1000% glad they didnt go with these, Dizzy was the better gal the whole time.
Saudades desse filme, saudades na verdade dos anos 90.
These fit the mold of the high-school-drama in space that Verhoven seemed to be going for.
I had some of these scenes on a cd from the movie
That jerk forward when the shuttle leaves was a nice touch
Except it then accelerates at like 1000 times the speed and nobody notices. 😂
The last scene is deleted? I know the whole scene in german version, its the normal end for me
It's the normal ending but this version got added shots and some added dialogue
After they talk to Zim there is an added scene where they kiss. Thats not from the original.
Additionally, when Johnny says to Carl, "It was you, wasn't it? You were the one who told me where to find Carmen?" In the official cut of the film, Carl immediately says, "Well, that's classified." Here in the deleted scene, he pauses and says nothing, allowing Johnny to add, "I thought you couldn't do humans." To which Carl THEN says, "Well, that's classified."
So glad these where deleted.
Damn they should have kept every moment of that material!!
I alwayf figured that Zander (Xander?) was in love with Carmen, but hearing him say it out loud seemed a bit odd for some reason. Maybe that line delivery just did not fit that moment when she was having a bit of a grief break down? Also, these deleted scenes enforce that Dizzy was always the right choice.
Falou !!! Agora deixa eu ir ali jogar um HELLDIVERS 2 kkkk
Whaat a Movie❤ A bizarre filósofic classic
