Paul Coll played my signature shot at 2:55!
and mine
😂😂
Class 😅
😂 I love this joke
Coll has a chance to go match ball but calls the double bounce. So much class and respect. Other players on tour could use this as an example...
Ya, he reminds me of Asal 🤣
He is total class, but it's easy to be classy when you know the guy you are playing with is going to afford you the same respect. These two are the gold standard for on court and off court behaviour.
@@networknvery well said, totally agree with that comment regarding their mentality. You get what you give.
Yeah that was the most striking moment to me here. Looked to me like he got it! Much respect to Coll for that bit of class - and to Farag (as @networkn says mutual respect is a team effort).
@@jacobeliosoff1264 Paul Coll is not just a fantastic champion squash player, he is a man of integrity.
9-8 in the 5th game, ref misses it, Coll calls his shot as a 'not up'. In a FINAL. We must take notice, this is what sport is about - sportsmanship. I feel the PSA should do a post on this moment - all players must not sacrifice these values/virtues for a WIN - the yongsters will learn, and the sport will grow this way also. These top players are ambassadors for our game and they must lead by example. Great sportsmanship from Farag too during the entire match, making it about the squash. Brilliant Paul, you have won a lifelong fan here today!
Paul is just a class act. Model for the sport. Unlike the "Asal" bullshit that is rampant with some players (not just him)
Absolutely, and it's obvious that Asal's antics are not missed at all. He should have been banned for a year.
Paul Coll is not just a fantastic champion squash player, he is a man of integrity.
Great match by two true champs. Love how clean the squash was and how they play through minor interferences without just fishing for calls. Credit to Coll who had some tough time in recent events and it was not easy mentally being caught up at 2-2. Thanks to both for another instant classic for the fans.
stunning match. good to see the great respect between the players
two great athletes, great squash, and a 5 set tiebreaker, the perfect final. Congrats to Paul.
Don't give away the bloody result in the top comment ffs
@@littleman787How was he to know he would have the top comment? Stay out of the comments section if you don't want to see spoilers, it's only natural for people to discuss the match results.
I love Farag but absolutely thrilled for Coll. That boy knows how to graft. One of the best maches i've seen in a while 👌
Wonderful squash. Also wonderful there was no Asal ruining the clean play
Why bring up Asal?
@@stevebachiu6843 I believe this is the last clean tournament before Asal returns and ruins it for everyone (again)
@@stevebachiu6843no why as thats a good comparison what we like to watch in squash , as simple as that ! Asal just make everything dirty, nothing more
Can’t wait for Asal return
Can't get any closer than that. And Farag always a class-act.
Unbelievable squash. These guys are the epitome of skill, fitness and above all mental strength.
So great to see clean and great squash. Imagine having Asal here and whole match will be joke. Thats how Squash should be fair and intense. I always though Coll is the guy who can stop Farag juggernaut. He did. He was also more assertive in shot selection and did not play old passive squash of the past.
Incredible match by 2 incredible athletes. Congrats to Coll
Amazing, high quality squash. What a final!
All but one match of Coll's was a 3-2 victory, and even the 3-0 win over Ibrahim was 60 mins. Incredible athleticism!
Imagine how sore this legs would be...
One of the best matches ever! Amazing quality, drama and sportsmanship. Not often you see all of those combined.
Love these 2. They are great ambassadors for the sport.
Two Gentlemen of Squash……a joy to watch any games your both involved in
Amazing game. Great players and people. Could not ask for a closer match. Pleasure to watch.
Best players to watch and the most sportsman like to go with it. The 2-2 10-10 rally was one of those great sporting moments. More squash like this please.
Well deserved Coll, he's upped his mental game coz that's what's needed to beat Farag 👏
Amazing play of both!!
Congrats Paul! All the hard work paying off. Brilliant stuff mate!
Let’s go!!!! Thrilled to see paul win
Well done Paul Coll! Awesome game both players
What a match!
And Ali went for it on the last serve, what a match, these two are just pure class calling balls down etc. Well done Paul.
Coll fully deserved this! Congratulations!
So good to watch two players that play squash with such great sportsmanship. So relieved not to have seen Asal here.
You will see him in the next tournament ha ha!!
Coll’s movement off the ball is very clean, with no intention of subtle hinder-I appreciate that.
Respect for the game, respect for each other. The way squash should be played
Great match to watch
Such a great sport when the players commit to playing the ball. Hopefully the upcoming generation of players look to these guys as professional role models.
Class highlights, class editing.
What a final!
Brilliant match two class acts
I love both these guys.
That was fantabbydosey ! Kiwi grit, a welcome interruption, from the neutral standpoint, of Egyptian domination. Coll played a blinder, and he needed to, to get past Farag
A final for the history books!
The best part of this match was: the no up call from Coll and Farag playing the ball at 10-10 when many other players would have tried to fish for a easy stroke. Pure class athletes
Much respect for both playera!
You can just see how much this means to Coll. I love to see him win.
Wow~ such a tight and exciting match.
On their day these two are clearly playing the best squash in the world right now, amazing stuff!
What a match👏🥵
What a match
크으,,,,,풀경기 보고 싶넹 ㄷㄷㄷ
One of the best battles!
I thought that ankle collision would definitely have affected Farag for at least that game, it was very hard and potentially very serious if Farag had planted that foot down, luckily he wasn’t fully weight bearing on it or he would have fallen hard.
I hope Paul wlill be around and still in top form to win a medal for NZ at the Olympics
FELICITACIONES PARA COLL
finesse squash at its best!
❤
Finally coll proves that he is the fittest player on the tour. This is how he should be playing making the games physical and fast I remember him playing elshorborgy last year or so, the game was so slow. Just playing in the hands of him
If there is as great a spotsman gentleman as Coll in men's squash, it is Ali Farag.
I feel like this has been coming all week. Coll has shown real intent with his shot selection and found enough touch at the front to turn opportunities into points on the board, and it's a step back up to what we saw get him to #1. Glad he's continuing to represent simple, low-risk squash at the top level; it's great for the game to have a mix of styles imo.
what happened when Coll tried to hit the ball between the legs ? I don't understand (and there is no replay....)
what a sportsman - at 9-8 final game, Coll acknowledges the double bounce. so instead of a potential 10-8 -> 9-9
Because it was a double bounce
Where can i see the full match?
Played in the bests of spirits
Great final! Very pleasant to watch because of the free-flowing squash. I am dreading to watch future matches with Asal, there are too many interruptions and unnecessary quarrels on court.
10 all in the 5th and Paul isn't even panting. man's a monster
Great sport,
👏
wow )
This is what we need to bring to the olympics
Both semis and then this final! This US open has been too good at the end
Does anyone know if Ali let himself win?
Q: What do you need against Coll? A: A Farag is almost enough... ...but just almost Great match, unbelievable athletes
Great game. Very hard to understand why Farag went for the nick from the last serve. Makes zero sense to me.
Can you cut out the “flashbang“ transition please, I don’t want to be put into a fit just when I’m trying to watch Squash highlights.
I'm surprised Farag went for the nick on championship ball. Must have been really spent.
Fantastic final and great to not have to avoid and Asal coverage. I can't stand that bafoon.
Nah, this is great
Ali wasn't focused!
Farag seemed out of sorts to me?
its only news if Farag losses. Then one has to wonder if he was kinda of injured
Didn’t like the squash here not that clean hitting from either side
what in the hell am i watching
Great squash. But I REALLY wish the commentators would stop describing shots as 'outrageous'. Literally every video I watch you can guarantee they will say it at least once, probably more. Will someone please buy them a thesaurus (or, ideally, tell them to stop over-hyping their language).
Faraq you sook, no respect for you anymore!! Well done kiwi
Clearly there is no respect since you don't spell his name right...
These squash players should use their platform to speak up for their brothers and sisters in Palestine. If you can't do it now then when will you?? Honourable exception Ali, who else will be a heroic voice in their desperate plight??
get lost please
What an opinion dude
politics in sport turns people off....
Agreed, just because squash is fun doesn't mean we don't also exist in a world outside squash where we need to be standing up for what's right
Free palestine ❤
Such a sudden video cutoff after the handshake!
