Jan herds 84 bulls and steers by herself, does a great job with it. Jan has a great feel for what it takes to move cattle with no stress. She is very quiet and methodical when it comes to herding cattle. She never raises her voice and when the cattle stop moving, she slowly moves back and forth behind them until they start walking again. "In real life there's WIND🌬 You tell'em GREG😂
Is it just me or does it always seem like the wind starts blowing when Greg comes outside.
This one's for the armchair farmers
Good day Greg and Jan! As far as the wind is concerned, if ya don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. Of coarse there is wind, this is real life! It would be nice if people just stopped complaining and enjoyed the video. 🤣 Have a great one guys!
Jan is a great herder! We are feeding hay to build our pastures. We are less than 2 years into this property that was neglected for over 20 years. Learning from Greg Judy and people like him has helped a lot!
Greg that is one beautiful farm. I like the rolling landscape with those big oaks in the background. Greg there are some great looking bulls in that mob. The ranchers buying these bulls this season are going to get some great breeders.
I've never been bothered by the wind. still not. great video.
First: It's an absolutely beautiful day and farm. Great to see. Thank you. Second: You didn't holler into the phone so no problem there. Third: Wind noise is normal and natural so as long as I can hear you (which I can) it doesn't bother me. And I'll echo others who state that if you can't say something nice, please just remain silent. Thank you.
Great team work! Good to see you two enjoying yourselves, have a wonderful day.
Beautiful pasture!!!!
Gorgeous farm. Congratulations.
Don't worry about the wind Greg, it's fine.
I’m going to name my next border collie Jan
Looks like the sheep have some work to do as well.
Good day folks. 😊
They look “wooly “.😊
Yes, they put on a great winter hair coat. With the mid eighties last week in temperature, their winter coats are now leaving!
Let’s support Greg and Jan and let the ads play. Thank you guys.
Johnson grass is beginning here in North Ark. We're seeing eastern Gamma. Wishing to see big blue here idk
You don't need horses or dogs for herding when you got Jan.
Awesome video, beautiful farm, would really appreciate a video on what determines whether you keep a bull calf a bull or make it a steer, thanks
He has a few
Area you having any lambs yet 😂
Hi Greg looks like the farm is going well. You say you have a lead cow I can't remember her number now do you have a lead ball or do they all just mingle around like they just did at the top of the hill?
Our lead cow is #160. We don't have a lead bull or steer yet.
Thanks for the video! You are a great couple always working together. I know what you mean by wind. Once I turn on the video and here comes the wind. I have 3 south poll heifers I need to sell out of my cows. What should I price them at? They are around 9 months old.
Email some pictures of them.
@@gregjudyregenerativerancher I will do that. thanks!
Hey man i live in north Alabama and have a small cattle farm. What is the best mix to overseed my pasture with?
Don't plant anything. Use your cattle's hooves to stimulate the seed bank you have in your soil, followed by a 45-day rest period .
@@gregjudyregenerativerancher what if i canr give a 45 day rest? I have 2 paddocks split down the middle. I move them every week. Grass gets plenty tall just alot of yellow flowers in it not sure what they are. Just not as green as it use to be.
@@deadburnitboys9921what stops you giving 45 days rest?
@@tomvalentine9985i would have no where to put my cows for 45 days.
@deadburnitboys9921 I would think your paddocks need to be smaller and your cows moved more frequently if possible
Greg when you whoop and holler what do the animals know that you are saying Come Plenty of good stuff ahead Water Forage including your favorites Minerals Protection Do your job for the earthworms etc. What am I forgetting 😮❤🎉❤😇🖖🧓👍🍀💚💖🌟💖💚🍀
