  • 3:05 His little voice crack is just astounding to me. It's something that always happen when one gets too emotional, it doesn't even feel like acting. I don't even know how anyone can reach that level of acting, that level of total immersion in the scene and in the character. Both of them are fantastic, but Adam was out of this world in this movie.

    • His voice crack, and the sound of his delivery on the word "die". I feel like it's a mix of rage but also the very very end of the word sounds like it's suddenly being taken back because deep down he knows he doesn't mean it, but his anger is pouring out of him and he's let it build to using those words. This scene breaks me every time. 💔

  • This movie was very personal for me. I was a child of divorced parents and this scene brought back some painful memories of my parents arguments. I remember just putting a pillow over my ears, to try and suppress the raised voices of the things they dare to say to each other. It was something that crushed me as a child. I’m 23 now happily in love with someone and hope to pick my partner wisely without having to relive that hurt again. I’m not looking for perfection, only trust and comfort.

      @moondog1134@moondog11344 жыл бұрын
    • @@madtitan0825 In the first movie he wasn't really established as a considerable threat. This was due to how an untrained rey was able to fight him off with a lightsaber. There were a number of times he could use his force power to end the fight instantly, and it would have been more significant if they saved han's death for the second film. In the second movie, the badguys needed a win. That's usually where they get the win. But instead, they lose their leader, a massive star ship, are unable to take revenge on luke who simply vanishes, and Kylo barely gets used in that film. The throne room fight is..... lol. Seriously, check out shadiversities autopsy of that fight, its hillarious. We've got vanishing daggers, rey bieng sliced in the stomach (the troopers decide, you know what, i'ma miss!) But there's an absolute abundance of it which is a shame. I can't speak for the final film, but its bieng compared to an abusive relationship. So yeah he was certainly wasted, but like i said, he was by far the best thing the trilogy had going for it. He was supposed to be this extremely angry person. Rage empowers the darkside. Wouldn't it have been cool if we saw that reflected in his power? When he's raging in that control room, instead of just his light saber, the force violently ripples out and destroys those nearby troopers after the "Nope" scene. Wouldn't it be cool if when he got angry, the force empowered everything he did, making dueling meaningless unless rey trained to a point that she could negate the force itself and stabilize the area first. Stuff like that would have been really cool to establish him as a real threat, and would have made it that much more cool and convincing when he turned to the light.

    • I think kids need to at least once experience this. I’ve seen my parents argue more than once and yet at the end of day, we still sit down at the table and eat and laugh together. Kids must understand that families aren’t always perfect and they’re going to get in an argument at some point and they’re going to have to go through it too when they have a family. As long as they still love each other.

After the breakup of my 12 year relationship, I remembered that movie and realized why I won't watch it again. Then this movie came out and gave me the same vibes, so I still haven't watched it. After seeing this clip, I know EXACTLY what is going on here and why I still can't watch either movie. It's been 5 years since I've moved on and this one clip brought back everything. This isn't art; this is raw, genuine feelings in film form.

  • The anguish coursing through Adam is so real, I only hit this kind of peak of anguish & anger & sadness & hate & pain once in my life, but your brain just causes this wild whirlwind of vicious awful thoughts even if you don’t verbalize them and you just want it to stop. It makes you grab your head and scream out, almost to exhaust yourself and also crowd-out the thoughts. When someone you truly love betrays you in a way you never thought possible, it’s like throwing antimatter into your brain. Your whole world view erupts in fire & conflict.
