It is time to make a sheath for my Dragon eye puukko , that I made a few months ago.
• Dragon Eye Puukko - Kn... - here I make the knife
I wanted to make a sheath that will fit nicely with the handle design, I hope that I managed it.
Wood, metal, leather what can't this man work with. I can feel the hard work and dedication to your craft just by watching this video
thanks for the nice comments mate and thank you for the ideas :) I may use some of them in future videos .
Realy Nice sheath man and awesome tht the eye is closed when the knife is in the sheath and opened when it’s out great work as always man keep it up👍
Thanks my friend, glad to see you around :)
Exquisite work as always, I wish my country allowed work like this
what? what do they forbid? :/
Which country? 🤔
wtf?
Maybe it would be okay with Vegan leather?
😂😂
You managed to do it with imagination and skill. Thank you. If you get tired of the knife and sheath you can just send it to me to get it out of your way!!😉😄🙄.Wonderful work, brother.
haha thank you :) I'll have that in mind :)
Wow! That was awesome! Brilliant final touches!
Pán je Mistr. Krásný a originální výtvor. Zábavné a naučné video. Děkuji a smekám. 👍🙂🙂🍀
❤️🔥Que estupendo tu trabajo Maestro, gracias. Saludos de un Uruguayo 🇺🇾🧉
Excellent in going all out 👍 closed eye on sheath and open eye on knife is awesome bro !
Absolutely amazing work

Awesome craftsmanship love from India brother ❤🙏👌👍🙏🙏
Carving the notches in the timber of the sheath( loved that technique) then forming the leather tight over it ...amazing work. In this case i liked it better in that lighter color tho before u treated it black
thanks , turns out the grooves in the wood didn't do much work except guiding the lines a bit, but it was all first time learning experience :) about the color - I wanted it to be like the handle and also - for some reason the leather that I use - when I soak it in water after a few hours black spots start to come up on the surface and to make a sheath without dying it , everything must be super clean , I should work with gloves and so on , otherwise it looks dirty and scuffed :) And I admit - doing such thing is a bit over my leatherworking skills :)

Perfect
This looks amazing!!
thank you :)
Pretty sweet work. I dont know what your whole process is for finishing the edges of leather but something I think looks real nice is using black dye on the edges and melting and burnishing beeswax to get a super clean and crisp polished edge. Adds a bit more to the project and I think it looks a little neater when its all done. The main 2 reasons I use black is cause it ends up splotchy with lighter dyes, and black is a good neutral colour that works with whatever the main colour is.
I do something similar but instead of wax I use acrylic finish. In this case I only polished the seam this way. I left the opening edge a bit rough. I thought that shiny polished edge will be a bit weird ending of the "scales"
Obra de arte 👍
You ara a mester! 👌
Sweet!
Thanks my friend :)
I think you should use an obsidian knife to cut the leather. I think it'd be fun
Veramente stupendo, complimenti per te 👍
Grazie
Nice, well done! I still plan to contact you to possibly make one for me. My interest is a simply but beautifully made knife, not a dragon knife. Although, the dragon knife looks very cool.
Thank you sir , I remember you from a previous comment some time ago. I mainly make simple , practical knives , so it wouldn't be a problem. Whenever you decide :)
Damn ! It's incredible !....i wonder...could you make a Krys from Dune?
thank you , I don't know I should check how it looks :)

A resin based eye would've looked cooler, but this is still awesome
thank you. I wanted to use something a bit more yellow or orange for the eye. This curly birch came out not so vibrant as I expected it but still - pretty happy with the results :)
Drop dead gorgeous comes to mind. What kind of leather? Cow, reindeer, moose? (the neighbor’s nuisance barker?)
Thank you, vegetable tanned cow leather 2mm thick
@@RustLegion Thanks👍 That was my suspicion and delight. I’m delighted because that thickness of leather costs about half as much as what I’ve been using. In my opinion, this exemplifies another aspect of the brilliant perfection of the puuko sheath. You get a more protective ,safer container using minimal materials. You certainly know as well as I, that these knives are easily capable of slicing through the thickest welt on any solid leather sheath. You really inspired me with this one. Thanks so much for sharing.
Wahnsinn 👌👍
We have seen this in other videos before you do this
good job bro
thanks bro
👍👌
🤩👍🏆
What's that brush thing he uses to put on the sealer?
@@VasilyPetrof 3mm
I want to order can you or not brother ...?? I'm from Indonesia 🙏🙏🙏
how can i get one
Hey duede what kind of metal did u use for the belt loop???

Ok ty ❤
Where'd you get the leather ?😊
I buy it from a leather supplier in my country :)

1:49 did you use your teeth for that section? 5:45 what is that witchery? Maybe that’s an everyday kind of thing for leatherwork but I’ve never seen it done before. Brilliant! The entire build is fantastic. The way you used shaping, dye, and paint together creates an inspiring piece.
pretty neat trick indeed , I don't know if it's popular with leatherworkers , I saw it from a friend of mine :)
