I SURVIVED 100 Hours on a DESERTED ISLAND | NO FOOD NO WATER | Survival Challenge | Ep.1

2023 ж. 11 Мам.
2 905 665 Рет қаралды

I survived 100 hours on a deserted island with NO FOOD and NO WATER, catching and eating fish, coconuts, clams, and whatever else I was able to find or catch. The average daytime temperature was 37 degrees Celsius (98 Fahrenheit) which made every task challenging - shelter building, finding food, making fire, etc.

  • As someone who lives in a tropical country, I can't believe I'd reached 30 y.o. without getting hit by a coconut. And I used to nap a lot underneath tall coconut trees. Or maybe the reason I had such nice naps is because I got knocked unconscious by a coconut and didn't notice lol

Southeast asians know that mature trees will drop a coconut every few days. You're lucky not a single one fell on your head!

  • Hey man! love the video - super cool stuff. One thing I did want to mention - you said at 43:27 that sprouted coconuts are no good for eating. On the contrary, sprouted coconuts are actually a delicacy in many island communities, usually being reserved for the Chief alone. When the coconut sprouts, It consumes all of the water to put energy towards growing. This leaves a soft, spongy interior (sort of a ball) with a texture similar to cotton candy/candyfloss. It tastes sweet and light when the sprout is still relatively new (under 6in) and they're perfect for eating. Just thought I'd let you know for the future, in case you come across one again! Keep it up man

      @EinfachManuel@EinfachManuel8 ай бұрын
    • Yes but it's more realistic he leaves it in with no bullshit, because this is how it would actually be. There's tons of survival vids where they make everything themselves already. What I thought was actually taking away from the video wasn't that, but the abundance of coconuts and mangos on this island. It's clear that this is an ultra hospitable environment (and likely he knew that as well) Because coconuts are a guaranteed source of carbohydrates and water, he didn't need to actually worry about dying. So there wasn't any suspense However I still enjoyed the video and found it relaxing

  • Wow, there were a BUNCH of things you did that i've never seen before! That was really great, i enjoyed it a lot. Its always difficult on youtube to find survivalists that are actually legit, instead of Cheesers chasing likes. I cant wait to scour the rest of your videos.

  • That old light bulb could be used to boil water in a pinch. As a kid I used to use them as makeshift flasks for chemistry. The metal part unscrews from the glass portion. From there, you thoroughly rinse out the dusty coating on the inside, leaving crystal clear glass that tolerates high temperatures for boiling water. You'd just need a reliable container to keep it steady so it doesn't fall over while boiling.

    • If the bulb has a mercury mixture in the «white coating» I would not use it for anything you put in your body. No matter how good you think you rinse it.. Be careful.

  • Great vid! Straight to the point and no nonsense. I've actually gotten so immersed and watched the entire thing! Anyways, that time you cut a bamboo gave me so much nostalgia. We used to do this with my cousins back in the countryside well we'd use it for mangoes but it could apply to any fruit on a branch. Anyways, what we did differently was we'd hook the branch holding the mangoes in the U and twist the bamboo till the branch holding the mango breaks. We also devised a way of twisting the bamboo easier by putting a hole in the bottom part and sticking a smaller bamboo perpendicularly into the big bambo forming like a T shape. This video surprisingly reminded me of a core memory 😂

  • I enjoy how point out things around you, like a couple of shells, random trash. That tree that was growing on the rock. Little things like that don't matter to alot of people but it's things like that I enjoy in nature.

  • I love watching survival videos and one thing I liked that you did was actually make the trash into something useful! Because in all the other videos, they are like: “oh! We cant use this trash because it would be cheating 🙄” but you used all your resources to stay alive!

  • Love your delivery and how you walk us through your experiences in a relatable manner. I agree with others that some more local knowledge could be fascinating but, you know, it's debatable. It's also good to know what you can do without it. The amount of trash was devastating and made me real sad. Would appreciate you celebrate them less. Anyway, watches the full 90 minutes without wanting to do anything else :) not every netflix movie can say that of itself 😉
