I loved this video and I really need your help with floating large items in epoxy…My wife has passed and I I want to create a large glasslike epoxy piece with her personal and most favorite belongings inside of it to like some of her favorite things inside of it like her perfume bottles, some of her high end makeup, her quite large designer hand bag, her sunglasses and several pictures. I feel this would be the perfect way to preserve her items and honor my best friend and my wife and I know you are the only person in the whole world that can help me make this a reality…PLEASE HELP ME Honor Her In The BEST Way I Know She Would Love!!!

Lovely. Resin is so expensive i dont think this is a hobby i could keep up with.
Hello. A few months ago, I won some Let's Resin resin in your giveaway. I've been using your silicone kit for making molds for a long time, but never tried your resin. I was amazed at how good it is. For bubble-free results, I usually use a 3:1 resin. But your 1:1 resin is incredibly bubble-free! I've tried many different brands, and had a few that I used more than others, but once I tried Let's Resin, I haven't been using anything else. The difference is CRAZY! Thanks again for hipping me to your resin. Oh - and your preserved flowers project is beautiful!
Thanks so much for sharing your working experience with our resin. So glad to know that! Enjoy crafting!!🤗💕

I am about to start my first try of resin epoxy and nervous as to which one to use to cast the flowers. YOu really like this one better than others?
That is beautiful! I am currently working on a square memorial like that with roses from my dad’s funeral and a pyramid from my grandma’s. I have silica now but I didn’t when I dried those flowers. Did the traditional and hung them upside down until they were dry. They still maintained their color, mostly. I use the blue silica that changes to pink when they are spent. And I am also using Let’s Resin brand resin. It’s my favorite. I used it to dip the flowers in to seal them. They look like candied roses now. 😂 thanks for the tips in this video! ❤❤❤
You're very welcome! we're glad the tips in the video were helpful for you🥰🥰❤
Wow I’m here for the same reason (my dad’s flowers) just a month later. I’m sorry for your loss. 😔 Hope you are happy with your project. How did it turn out?
@@calivibes_84 thank you for your condolences. I’m so sorry for your loss as well. Losing a parent, especially one you’re close to, is difficult. He died right before thanksgiving and I’m still trying to process it. I haven’t completed them yet. They are multiple layer projects that take days to complete. I will post them in a video here when iam done
@@KirstenLeafromItaly Aw man the holidays must have been hard I’m sorry 🙁 Oh ok I’ll have to follow you to see how it turns out! I feel like the more I learn about this the more likely I am to just pay someone to do it. It’s a lot! 😬
I searched out videos for the same reason. We just had my mom’s funeral a week ago and i have so many beautiful flowers. I took the sprays apart and put them in vases but now I want to preserve as many as I can.
Very nice ❤
Many thanks 💞
Beatiful ❤🌺🌸🌷
Thanks❤
Beautiful work. Can you reuse the silica gel?
Wooooww
So beautiful it just takes so longggg
Yeah that's true. But we all love how it turns out, so it's definitely worth it🥰
With roses I hold one in my hand, pour silica over the top and shake it to get the gel between the petals. If the centre is too tight you can remove the petals with tweezers
How do you cute the resin do you do both a&b mixed first
That’s incredible! Must cost a fortune in refine though, but the flowers look fantastic 👍🇬🇧
Thank you!!🥰
Don't you need to scuff up the final layer after applying the sticker for the resin to properly bond since it has become fully hard at that point? Also since it is fully hard do you need a layer line on the side now since it wasn't poured when the resin was still in it's tacky phase?
Do you pour 12ml/layer & wait for 12hrs between each pour?
What’s the brand of silica gel you recommend to keep the color
Wonderful video, thank you! I plan to do this with my wedding flowers next year but we go on our honey moon for 3 weeks straight after the wedding. Will the flowers be ok in the silica gel for 3 weeks?
Your flowers will be fine in the silica gel. It takes several weeks for the flowers to dry in silica. I have been preserving for years. You will love the outcome.
Thank you for that I always wanted to know own how to dry fresh flowers. For resin. They remain fresh forever? In the resin.
Yay but It is normal for flowers to fade in resin over time. 🥲
Can we use d gel again and again for others
Hello, this video was very helpful. Do you have answers to the questions below. There are so many questions that would be helpful to see your answers?
Amazing! So beautiful & I learned so much from you. May I ask where to order the sticker ‘coz I don’t have Cricut machine. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
Thank you so much! You can try to find the stickers on Amazon. 🤗
What if we do not have deep pour in the area we live in, can we use the 3:1 type of resin ? For 8cm pour for example , should we do in layers ?
You can contact the resin supplier and ask for some advice. 😊
Must say very well explained and its beautiful ❤ How do you cure the air bubble Did you use vaccum chmaber
Thank you! We use our own brand epoxy resin and pour in layers so we have no big problem with bubbles. 😊
Please can you do a video explain how much resin A and Resin B harder you need for different moulds? Do you wait 24hrs once it’s dried to do another layer on other products designs?
Hey there, thank you for your comment. For your first question, you can use water to measure and the amount is vary from different molds. For the second question, we wait until the resin completely cured and them do another designs. 😊
Just purchased this resin! It’s on its way.. How long do you leave between each layer to let it cure?
Around 6-8 hours until the resin gets into gel phase.😊
Very beautiful. Should we. Have to add layers after allowing drying time to the previous layer? How much dring time for each layer?
Yes, correct. Sometimes need to wait for 8-10 hours for curing
How long do you wait between layers?
Love this! Did you have to sand any place and if so what did you use?
No, we didn't sand it. That is how it turns out from the mold dierectly.😊
For how long do you cure it between each layer? Beautiful work!
Around 6-8 hours until the resin gets into gel phase.😊
Thank u! I’ve been hesitating 😅
This presentation answered so many questions regarding this craft. Wonder though . . . where did you get the wood slats to hold the mold? Thank you.
The wooden slats were included in this mold. 😉
For each layer did you have to wait 12 hours for it to fully dry??
❤❤❤❤❤
How much resin did you need in total to complete this product? Looking to to do but not sure how much I would need
We use around 106oz for this 8 inch square mold. 😊
I'm a new subscriber from Bangladesh. I want to start resin works. But where will I get the products? In our country,it isn't so available like other craft products.
Merhabalar gülleri beklettiginiz toz nedir beyaz tozu merak ettim ne için gülleri koyuyorsunuz çok harika olmus
Silica gel.
Can i reuse the silica gel? Also how do you prevent resin from having bubbles?
Yes the times you can reuse depend on the silica gel's quality. Using resin to fill in the gaps of the flowers first and pouring in layers can greatly decrease the bubbles. Also, a self-degassing resin is also important! 😊😉
Interesting🤔 can you reuse the silica gel???
You can reuse the silica gel. Once those little orange balls within the mix start changing to a much darker orange or even to a greenish color, it means it has too much moisture within the silica and needs to be refreshed. You then put your oven on low approx 100 degrees Celsius, then in a baking paper-lined metal tray, pour your silica gel evenly onto this, around 2-3cm at most in height, and bake until your balls turn the original light orange again. Let cool briefly then put straight back into an air-tight container. Then you can repeat that method over and over.
How many ml of resin and hardener did u use? For this cube?
how many hours gap for each layer? and is it stays for life time or do we observe any changes as the time passes by????
Around 6-8 hours until the resin gets into gel phase😊
Can one reuse the silica gel?
How long do you wait in between each layer?
Can i paint the dryed flowers please to add more color?
Can we air dry the flowers without using silica gel?
How long do you wait for layers of resin to cure before pouring another layer?
Around 6-8 hours until the resin gets into gel phase.😊
I would appreciate your help. Have a dog bone that's about 3 inches deep. I purchased the epoxy mold on Etsy. I need advice. Do you recommended the resin they are using in the video. Thanks, Kathy Lewis
Hi Kathy, the resin we used in this video is 1:1 regular resin, so please note that pouring in layers and no more than 1 inch deep and 400ml at one time. You can use 2:1 deep pour resin for the deep mold. 😊
@@LETSRESIN thank you do much
Selica Gel can use again thank you
What are the measurements you used to mix the hardener(B)and resin (A)? Specifically for this square mold in the video?
We use measuring cups and our resin was mixed in 1:1 by volume. 😊
Beautiful work.. can we reuse the silica gel?
Yes!😌 you can reactivate it in the oven or microwave:) I can't think of the exact times and temperature but you can look it up in Google. 🙂
Can you tell me what kind of name tag sticker you used?
Hiii...you have direct put flowers in the mould first....or first you pour resin layer?
Hi!! We put flowers first, but you can see we use wooden sticks to support and fix them in a good position. 😊
@@LETSRESIN3
Is it possible to put resin on fresh flowers?
How much amount of resin went into this mould? Can I know the LenghtxWidth and the deepth :) Trying to make one!
Is it ok if I let the layers to cure completely
I did this with a different resin and it turned the cream roses brown…do you do anything to flowers so they don’t change colors?
Gorgeous! Where do you get that mold?
Thanks! The square mold is from our own brand but it is currently out of stock. We do have the 8-inch one without wooden slats now.😊
@@LETSRESIN Awesome. I'm new to working with resin actually just about to start for the first time so your videos are very helpful. How long did you wait before you poured another layer. I am starting a flower preservation business and need all the help I can get.
I have a question. Can u re-use the silica gel? Or do we throw it out
You can reuse the silica beads
Do you have a shop where I can buy premade flower coasters from you guys?
Thanks so much for your support but sorry to say we only offer resin supplies currently.🥰
Hii how do you maintain the colors of the flowers?
Dry the flowers thoroughly!!
Hi I’m confused do you mix the resin and the hardener together? If so how much did you pour and what are the measurements?
Our resin were mixed 1:1 by volume. You can use measuring cups to measure each part. 😊
How much total quantity of resin was used in making this?
Also did you use the same amount with each layer?
Yes we did, we pour 12oz for each layer.
Hey, how to avoid resin layers visible on sides of the finished product. I poured in 6 hour interval and still they're visible
Hii did your problem solved? If yes thn how
You have to sand it down then polish
How much resin did you use?
Can this same silica gel be used again?
Hi, Do you mean Silicone Mold? Yes, it can😀
No I mean the the silica gel you used to dry the flowers

Is there a way to get your alcohol ink in Canada? 🇨🇦 Lovely project
It will be available in Canada 2 months later.🥰
I had kept the flowers just like this, but colour of my red roses changed. Can u help?
Do you have any idea why my flowers lost its color? It's completely dry. Does it have something to do with the type of resin I used?
It might be that the flowers you used were not completely dry.
Hello Can I ask you, I made a model, why did the flowers change color and get damaged after pouring the resin?
The flowers might be the problem, any leftover moisture in flowers will cause them to rot or change color in resin, even causing the resin to not cure properly.
@LET'S RESIN Thank you ♥️ I dried the flower with silica gel and before putting it in the mold, I primed it with a layer of resin. After drying, I put it in the mold.
Como é o nome deste adesivo por favor lindo trabalho
We got them from the local store.
Where did you get the sticker
We got them in local offline store. 😊
Love this video, but I'm confused at how much time went by before each pour. You poured 5 as you said but I got confused from the 3rd or 4th layer 🤦🏿♀️
@@LETSRESIN thank you x
The cup was 8oz?
@@LETSRESIN how long is the wait to cure between each layer? :)
@@Ana-zy1fk About 6-8 hours when the resin get into gel phase.☺
can we reuse the silica gel?
Yes the using time depends on the quality of silica gel you use.😊
Can we use artificial flowers instead of green one?
Of course, as long as it's dry😊
