Today, we are thrifting at a flea market in Dordogne, in the countryside of the south-west of France.
All of the FLEA MARKETS on my channel are EVENTS held by a village or local community etc.

  • The pan-like object from the first minute and a half is a bed-warmer. Once people would put hot coals in it and place under the blanket before one would go to bed so that the bed would be ready and warm.

  • the opalescence lamp I swooned at. The small individual casserole bakers are great for individual meat pies, cottage pies, or even sweet pies, baked custards, I use them all the time.

  • @1:46 The bras dish it is called a silent butler and there are thousands of different versions and designs. It was used by the servants to remove any bread crumbs off the dining table during serving diner. It usually comes with a matching brush as a set. BTW, It looks as a bed warmer, but it is not. The handle is too short.

  • Hello! About the small cups you have mentioned, they are used for Greek or Turkish coffee here in my country Greece. They are accompanied with their small plates which go under the cups.

  • Спасибо за обзор! Это формы для запекания, есть жульенницы, в них подают жульен порционно) они , как правило без крышки. Мне очень понравились набор банок под специи , светло -, зеленого цвета) и интересная ваза из латуни в форме головы царицы Нефертити

    • Bonjour, merci de me rejoindre ! et pour votre question intéressante. En fait, je n'ai jamais entendu parler de "made in occupied Japan". J'ai regardé un peu et il semble que les objets aient été fabriqués entre 1945 et avril 1952. J'espère que cela vous aidera.
