"if i were that balance beam i'm not sure i'd be wanting to give mustafina much trouble" lmaooo
Shannon Miller is the best commentator! So pleasant, positive and smooth! Wish they would use her more!
Agreed. Actually love her. Could listen to her talk all day about gymnastics. 😊
I love Maria Paseka’s bar routine. So difficult and the execution is perfect. I don’t understand why she wasn’t in the event final.
Inyourlap, maybe she got sick.
I guess she scored in the Top 8 but qualified behind Komova and Mustafina
i think they scratched her routine and only had her compete on vault during the olympics
Qasezx
LMAO NOT THE SCRATCH 💀💀
At 50:00 her coach tells Wieber that she has to rock her floor routine. He already knew that she wouldn't make the finals with the routines that she showed.
Well he's dead now.
@@getnasty08 :-O
@@getnasty08 hahdhajjdjd this is the best comment i’ve ever seen
She could have actually. She scored 15.000 in team final, actually. I mean floor score
10 years later and nobody bats an eye at double double, tumbling really got crazy acceleration when queen Biles burst on to the scene and raised the bar.
Happy to see the judges smile after a nice routine :D
I love gymnastics😙😘😘😘😘😍
Thanks for posting!
Aly coaching gabby on what to say to press lol
It always looks so silly to me how they just prance and skip around the floor in between leaps lol.
What's up with that evil stare from Maroney at 1:21:24? Yikes 😑 On the other hand I feel for Jordyn not making the All Around. 😢
does anyone know the song that plays when the athletes enter the arena?? it's the same as in the other competitions but can't figure out what it is
I love Sui Lu but they should've shown Komova's floor (and showing that instead of Aliya's) 😭😭 She got a 15.100 on floor on AA so I wonder what went wrong on qualifications that she didn't get to the floor final.
She didn’t do a good routine and she got a 13.9, so she didn’t get to the final. And Komova got a 15.1 in the floor routine of her life, she usually doesn’t get such a high score.
Did she fall?
EmilyS1234 Out of bounds and band landings on tumbling and some choreography
There's another video on this channel that does show Komova's floor routine. She was just extremely sloppy throughout her routine. She got a 13.9. But even with that, still qualified as #1 overall. Similar to Gabby, who had an even worse floor score in the qualifications, yet still qualified #3 overall. Had both Komova and Gabby hit their floor routines in qualification, they would have totally blown away the rest of the field.
Can u post the subdivision 4 of women’s qualification 2000 olympics? Including gharde geldenhuys floor?
who else is watching this in 2018/june

we practically didn't see France at all..

39:52 sorry dominique pegg...they call you elsabeth black for your entire routine :( 40:07
TEAM USA Women's Artistic Gymnastics advance to their team finals and individual finals.
Jordyn no se esperaba que Raiman le ganara pero se confió... las 2 era buenas
Jordyn no esperaba ni que gabby le ganara, nadie se esperaba eso
2:27:52 that wasnt Elsabeth Black 😊
i really do hate the 2 per country rule. it stinks that three americans can place 1, 2, and 3 and the 3rd place recipient can’t go to all around. i say that they run all qualifications and take the top 16 or 20 to all around. that makes more sense
One could say the same for other sports. People complaint China won all 3 Gold, Silver and Broze at 2008 table tennis and since then they applied the 2-per-country rule too. Its not fair from the Chinese perspective but to give opportunity to the others I'd say it's fair.
Cairns yurchenko 1.5 was almost perfect besides the little hop and maybe a slight lack of distance but common. 9.123 or whatever the execution was. That should've been a 9.5-9.6
The judging in vault was really questionable to me. Look at Maroney’s vault in team finals- how’d they find almost three tenths off?!
where's Mckayla Maroney's second jump?
33:00
1) Jordan Wieber should've been in the AA being 3rd in Qualifications. 2.) Aly Raisman should've shared the Bronze in the AA Final with Mustafina. At least they got it right in RIO after 4 long years after this. The Tie breaking rule should be banned 3.) 2 per country rule because of this Qualifications alone should be done away with for the AA at least.
Jordan crying like a baby, and the group mates don't even care, so rude :(
I totally agree that the 2 per country rule is extremely unfairl... for the the MOST part... but, like, you've gotta admit- it WOULD seem almost like, I dunno the right word- almost like "bullying" or just like completely unfair favoritism & sort of just "wrong" IF the Gold,Silver AND BRONZE medals ALL ENDED UP going to the same nation at the end of the actual competition, you knowwhatt I mean?! Like if they had all THREE podium spots go to Americans & had three US flags flying behind them for the medal ceremony- it probably wouldn't really go over very well with the other countries lol. I still agree it's a messed up rule for many reasons- but I kind of get it, too?!
@@myracole1340 that happened at the 2000 Olympics. Gold, Silver and Bronze in the AA went to Romania. The 2 per country rule was created afterwards.
Jordyn didn't hit when it count and she was edged out by her teammates. People were only outraged cause she was the reigning world champion. Jordyn was sharp but she didn't have one or two events she truly shined. Carly Patterson was weak on vault but made up with it with floor and beam. Nastia Liukin was weak on vault but made up with it on beam and bars with her execution. Jordyn's wins were small margins and in the US she was always overscored and her coaches set her up for failure by taking her small wins for granted and not upgrading her routines. NBC also hyped her up as the next best thing. In sports your friends are also your competition you are all competing for spots on the teams and for medals.
Also not sure how much you know about gymnastics but after the 2000 Olympics when Romania swept up all the medals in the AA, the US was also one of the countries that complained about the rules. I agree with giving two bronze in the 2015 worlds they gave 4 gold medals for uneven bars and back in the day they gave 2 gold medals it wouldn't kill to give two bronze. Also in 2008 Nastia tied for bars with He Kexin of China and the gold was given to He Kexin.

I don’t understand how grishina even made it into team finals
The team qualified and she is on that team So she had to do at least one routine in finals It's not her fault she couldn't handle the pressure
Qaezcr
Kyla Ross almost fell her floor exercise during Women's Qualification.
... maybe a big part of why they DIDN'T use her in the team final?!?
@@myracole1340 Why?
Soooo... Honestly, just how many of you guys think you could manage to walk from one end of the balance beam- heel toe- all the way across from 1 side to the other, turn & walk back across the exact same way without any stumbling or tripping & falling off...?! I know I can't lol. And that's BASICALLY what they are asking of you during a field sobriety test!!! It's NOT FAIRI! THATS HARD TO DOOOOO! WE'RE NOT ALL GYMNASTS!!!!
Okaaaaaayyyyy. Did you just get a DUI or something?
@@lanpingpug no... Well actually yes once I was GIVEN a field sobriety test & failed that part MISERABLY- along with the holding one foot off the ground 6" for 1minute part- even though I was totally sober & blew a .000- because I was just super tired and it was almost 4am& I was coming home from my 2nd day cleaning a house for almost 13hrs & I had taken a really bad crash about 8wks before when I was jumping my horse & got a concussion, broke my nose, 3 ribs, sprained both my left & right ankles really badly, broke a few bones in my right that foot, had a minor meniscus tear in my right knee & completely snapped the PCL ligament in that knee- 2 months later, I couldn't walk 10ft in a straight line to save my life... It's been over 5yrs and I probably STILL can't?! Just saying- that's some skill just to WALK across that beam, for some of us, haha. (And when that DID happen to me- the cop was actually super nice- *who ever says THOSE words together?!* and he actually listened to me when I told him what a cripple I was at barely 24yrs old & he just ended up telling me to roll my windows all the way down & blast my radio to help me stay awake & he just followed me the last
I mean yes but only because I was a competitive gymnast but I would imagine it’s difficult for someone that has never been around it
@@carliecole2563 Wow! And I thought my body was messed up (truly, it is)…. Most (certainly NOT all) is due to my spine.
Does anyone know any gymnastics resources I can check out? Thanks 🙏
I see this was at least a year ago but since no one has commented, have you heard of Gymcastic? It's a gymnastics podcast and is the #1 way to follow gymnastics. Is that the kind of resource you mean?
whats with romania ending up in team finals?
try to attend worship service of the church of christ in that place watching from siocon zambo philippines
Very inaccurate judging on vault here in the qualifications.
