  • Walt killing Mike is very unfortunate, yet some sort of showdown or confirmation between them like this would have likely happened at some point, especially since Walt wanted the names of Mike’s guys so he could have them killed. And Mike laying everything out the way he did, bruising Walt’s ego was basically the last straw for Walt and well, we know what happened. Great reaction guys, have a great rest of your day and take care!

  • Ugh, I was SO pissed about Mike. Definitely in my top 3 of favorite characters. It broke my heart that Kaylee would never know what happened to her Pop-Pop, or get the money. 😢

  • I don't want to be that guy again but I always strugged to understand why Mike blames Walt solely for the collapse of Gus's operation. He's either forgotten that the whole reason for Gus & Walt's relationship turning sour [Gus came to respect Walt, or he was using him from the get go to tutor Gale which backs up this point even more] was Walt saving Jesse's life [A guy Mike see's as almost a son figure now]. Walt saved Jesse's life and would have worked with Gale again and things could have ran smoothly, but in what world does Mike think Walt being on the cusp of being taken from his front lawn & being murdered in cold blood & replaced at any given point think things are "working like clockwork" it makes absolutely no sense. He's either forgotten why Walt & Gus's relationship went sour or is just talking nonsense. I guess I'd go with the former and Mike's fondness of Jesse has made his memory foggy regarding him actually being the cause of it all. I love Mike, even more so in BCS but him stealing the methylamine & this speech making no sense apart from Walt having an ego kinda tainted what he was all about [honour among theives, straight talker] an otherwise perfectly written character.

    • And you seem to forget that the only reason Jesse ended up in that kitchen was because Walt couldn't stand having an assistant who was just as capable as he was. So he got Gale fired and manipulated Jesse into working for him again while he was still emotionally vulnerable due to Jane's murder.

  • 22:03 See, this is one of the reasons I enjoy reaction videos. I've watched Breaking Bad like 7 or 8 times now and I never picked up on the irony of Mike "disappearing" on Kaylee, exactly what Lydia feared for her daughter.

    @kitkat7074@kitkat7074 Жыл бұрын
    • I wouldn't say never, just not at the beginning. I think Mike is pretty good at separating his business from his feelings, so he knows that Jesse's actions caused the rift between Walt and Gus. He did eventually grow to care about Jesse as he proved his worth, but he can still tell that if Walt let Jesse die, the operation under Gus could've continued for some time.

    @mem1701movies@mem1701movies Жыл бұрын
    • Mike was actually right about Walt wanting to be the man and that everything that happened was his fault. Walt was trouble from the start so Gus wanting to kill him was completely justified. Nobody wants to do business with a complete narcissist who wants to be in charge. Nothing self righteous about that speech at all.

    • @@Mandalore_ultimate The problems between Gus and Walt didn’t happen until Jesse messed it all up. The only reason why Gus suddenly wanted Walt dead was because Walt killed the two drug dealers to save Jesse, which led to Gales death. Jesse was the one with the ego, stealing the meth behind Gus back.

      @kitkat7074@kitkat7074 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kitkat7074 Gus never liked Walt because of how he did business and it was Gale who wanted Gus to hire Walt. Jesse wanted to walk away but in traditional Walt fashion he had to manipulate him into being his partner again after causing the death of Jesse's girlfriend and causing him to be in the hospital. If Walt never started cooking then none of this would've ever happened.

      @Mandalore_ultimate@Mandalore_ultimate Жыл бұрын
    • @@Mandalore_ultimate you need to rewatch this show, you are forgetting important details. Walt convinced Jesse to work with Gus because Jesse blackmailed Walt, threatening to snitch on him if Jesse gets caught. Jesse was not walking away, he was still going to make meth with the RV Also how did you get the notion that Gus didn’t like Walt? He literally had to manipulate Walt using toxic masculinity to get him to cook again.

      @kitkat7074@kitkat7074 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kitkat7074 When they first met Gus told Walt that he isn't a cautious man because his partner is a drug addict which is very unprofessional. Also you're acting as if Walt isn't responsible for everything that's transpired in the series. Jesse wanted nothing to do with Walt but manipulated him to stay his partner. He literally poisoned Brock and blamed Gus for it to manipulate Jesse into helping him get rid of Gus. I've watched the show multiple times. Walt is literally the villain.
