  • Note for bowling - don’t set the lot as generic, set it as a lounge. They added bowling into what Sims will spawn in to do if the items are there; sometimes they even show up in groups with matching shirts like a club/team 😁

  • Perks in Tiny Living can't be emphasized enough, I think you undersold the gameplay element. Depending how small you can get double relationship gain, double skill gain, reduced bills, happy moodlets, really really useful in rags to riches and other challenges. The lot type alone makes it worth it and I do like a fair bit of the build/buy.

  • Well, at least stuff packs went out with a bang. Paranormal Stuff is BY FAR the best stuff pack and well worth the money. It's a shame it's also the last stuff pack we're going to get. I also love Tiny living. The lot trait for it is amazing and adds so much to gameplay. Romantic Garden is underrated, I think. The wishing well is fun to play with and has some unique and interesting gameplay, with many different possible outcomes - both good and bad. Like you said, it's like having a genie in the game and since we don't have genies yet, this is the next best thing. This may not be a popular opinion, but I also think Moschino is worth it, simply for fashion photographer career. I love freelance careers in general because of the flexibility so this is perfect for me. You can make a LOT of money with this career, much more than you would with the Get to Work photo studio (which never works for me, for some reason, so I find it to be quite pointless). If you want to have a career as photographer, you're much better off with Moschino than Get to Work - although I think Get to Work is a great pack for many other reasons, just not photography.

  • I did again get all these packs over time so I don't count the money aspect because thats just if you are trying to buy them all at once. For me it was less then buying dinner out so I ate in one night that I normally would have gone out and bought the stuff pack if I was interested in it. Having said that, I bought Luxury Glamour with Get Famous because I felt they went together and I do use many of the items with it, not so much the CAS but for houses. The patio stuff, well thats where we got hottubs right? Had to have it (once it was on sale). Keep in mind it was about nine years between patio stuff and desert luxe kit, so yeah the newer one looks better. The Kitchen Stuff, I actually like most of it, got it on sale of course, but we like using the ice cream maker, especially for when our sims get a little overweight the diet ice cream and one work out will fix that right up. Not to mention we like the occults and its a legit way to get plan sims. Now we HAD to have the Spooky Stuff, HAD to, its right in our gameplay niche. And again this was out long before Seasons so at the time it was all we had (I know you are speaking on NOW but I got them THEN.) I do have to disagree about the furniture though, the Spooky Stuff 'covered' furniture has a version that is plain and is perfect to set up "abandoned" houses if you are into building themed lots. Now Movie Hangout, I actually like the CAS in it though many complain about it its my favorite part (this one was given to me). For me, Romantic Garden was all about the wishing well, I set up a lot in Windenburg that "hidden" lot, and that was the most I did with everything else in that pack. Kids Stuff is a niche as the game itself doesn't really lend to family gameplay (until recently) but it was good to have when we played with kids. Backyard Stuff was given to me, I think, I always thought I would play with the windchime and birdfeeder but I never really have, I do put the waterslide in sometimes but to be honest I do it more in Sims 3 because they come up with the want for it so I remember it but I really found that one forgettable. Vintage Glamour I got for the Vampires honestly, because of the older clothes, you know, for older Vampires, but I really tried to use it for Get Famous for the butler but it didn't work in that I tried to give Judith a butler and he never made it inside because he was talking to all the fans outside, so yeah, at least the clothes worked for the Vampires. Bowling Stuff actually does have a community lot, its placed in the library and you can just put it in any world that has the right size lot. Personally, I always remove the gym in Oasis Springs and put it there because its called the Oasis Springs Dust Bowl and I figured we didn't actually need two gyms. It also works with Get Together so there ya go. But I did like that it gave an actual skill and I did buy this one. Fitness Stuff, well, you mostly said it all however the rock climbing wall is actually good to get the rock climbing skill up BEFORE tackling the mountain in Snowy Escape. But the big thing about the pack is those earbuds because the sim can turn them on and listen to music while doing other things (not doing the listen interaction but just have it on) and it will raise the fun meter while say cleaning house or building other skills like handiness the earbuds are actually the star of the pack but most people don't know how to use them. Toddler Stuff was a cash grab, totally, but I do like having it for the toddlers. Laundry Stuff I'm like you and think whats the point? But the CAS and build buy is good and I just don't place hampers or washer/dryers so it doesn't affect my sims. Pet's Stuff another cash grab but again I liked the Cats and Dogs so I was one of those people, and I did use it at first but the rodents died to easily usually when their cages got dirty while my sim was at work and couldn't clean it. Sooooo, not so much anymore. Moschino... the best part about it was build/buy, which I do use alot when building. I seriously question their collaborations. Now Tiny Living actually is my favorite stuff pack, I LOVE the tiny living lot system and what it does for my sim just starting out and then as they get all their skills up and get friends and extend their house when they don't need those boosts anymore. I think this is the one I use the most just because of the lot system. Nifty Knitting, I don't think I've ever had a sim master the skill and mostly use the build/buy for little old ladies or kids. I do like the rocking chairs though. Oh, Paranormal, that was my JAM, I totally and completely loved this pack. Until they broke it. It started off that if you used the Haunted Lot type if you used lot traits that were not base game compatible it messed up big time. Then there was an update for the next pack that broke it and they SAID they fixed it but I've never been able to get it to work right again. That was when I lost hope for Sims 4. That was my last straw the thing that broke me and sent me back to Sims 2 and 3 (mostly 3). Because I loved it, I liked playing Sims 4 again with Paranormal and it HURT when they broke it and its gone. I had a "Velma" sim that I was playing that "investigated" hauntings and was collecting all the paranormal stuff for her own personal "haunted museum", you know all the dolls and stuff, and it didn't work anymore. And now I'm sad again. So I'm going to play sims 3 and try to wipe it away T.T

I'd say that the packs NOT worth your time are: Spooky Bowling My first pet Kids room Toddler Backyard Patio Romantic garden Cool kitchen Fitness Moschino Maybe (if you like the aesthetic): Laundry day - hate the laundry Movie hangout - it's very colorful/boho/artsy Vintage glamor - very pretty, but only use it for "rich" homes or with get famous Use it all the time (but...): Knitting - it's very colorful Tiny living - Satch is correct in saying the Murphy bed is actually quite big + it's difficult to match other furniture to it Paranormal - I love this pack, but it's very boho/vintage style and after playing through it you might not do it again for awhile like Jungle Adventures Luxury Party - if you don't own my wedding disaster you should reconsider this one it has a lot of nice things although it's not as much as the other packs

    • I really like Bowling Stuff, I just think it’s dumb as a solo pack. Bowling was always included in other packs. But it’s a good all year round group activity when I just wanna send the family somewhere or a group of friends and just let them go at it for a bit while building social without too much monitoring on my part. I also really like Kids room stuff, when I just had basegame (late into Sims 4, I stuck with 2 for quite a bit) this helped me with kids having well…STUFF pretty significantly. I put the puppet theater inside most of my libraries in the kids area so when people come with kids they can do a puppet show. I love easy bonding objects different age groups can bond around. Kits don't have any gameplay at all and cost 5€. Stuff packs cost 7€ (unless you buy between sales, then you must pay additional 3€ idiot tax) so while they are expensive, compared to kits they are less overpriced.
