Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. i want to comment out the parts that i enjoyed. and yes this took like -30- (strikethrough not working :[ ) 60 minutes so LETS GGOOOOOOOOOO (and you might see this comment before im finished writing so um ignore that. i have to test the timestamps yk!) 1. 1:12 - 1:26 (the Mario FLP is so good along with the slashes add so much and the bowser showtime _chef's kiss_ ) 2. 3:03 - 3:08 (the undertale/deltarune sounds go hard. and nice bell transition on beat too) (also yes this is indeed a certified hood classic) 3. 3:33 - 3:47 (for one the TV effect GENIUS, for two i love fatal errors FLP already and this song just proves how good the FLP is. it can literally work with anything!) 4. 4:02 - 4:10 (once again an amazing transition in and out of the TV, as well as who can say no to a saw battle?) 5. 4:37 - 4:44 (just wanted to say ty for including one of my favorite parts/characters from ReRun Last Chance(restored)) 6. 4:51 - 4:59 (another amazing FLP, this time being cassette girl(and cassette goon but i dont like them as much). surprised anyone but N4R nailed them! i also included the !!! bc it sounds nice) 7. 5:36 - 5:46 (ty for including matpat. i still miss them dearly. nobody can really replace matpat though i will say the new hosts are killingg itttt~ ) 8. 6:00 - 6:07 (ty for making amusa's notes actually miss(like it does in the hypno's lullaby mod)) 9. 6:26 - 6:40 (this is just hilarious with MX XD) 10: this is my favorite part so im going to go into more detail. this covers 6:40 - 6:54 ok so the flp used here for piracy sonic is fire but that's not why i love this part. its due to these reasons: 1. 6:44 - 6:47 (sans's FLP here just works so well but to make it more fire (next point v )) 2. at 6:45 and 6:47 you do a sound effect on beat which sounds so awesome i cant even tell you how much of an earworm that is. 3. on top of that at at 6:49 - 6:50 and 6:51 - 6:52 you added punching effects which also is so perfectly timed that its literally heaven for my ears plus v 4. matt just sounds so good here as well, ty for including his typical sped up sections now back to the regular list XD 11. 7:15 - 7:21 (SOMEONE GRAB A PILLAR RUV IS ON A MIC RED ALERT RED ALERT AND IT IS ON HES GOING TO COLLAPSE THE CHURCH) 12. 7:55 - 8:08 (i love both tails's FLP here as well as spooky. didnt know she had a mod tbh. they also sound so good on this track ngl) 13. 8:09 - 8:17 (listen natetendo you did not have to go that hard man. what a PEAK) 14. 8:39 - 8:41 (that all out attack on BF to the beat is actually FIRE) 15. 8:42 - 8:53 (this is so well timed i'm speachless. also yes theres a body on the floor . . . i blame joker probably thought the crewmate was evil) 16. 9:40 - 9:51 (someone else said this and im also going to say it.
