Imagine the tales of derring do, or heartbreak, or business acumen, or politics the captive shoeshine boy/man/wounded soldier/hobo enjoyed/suffered/gathered intel,gossip, tips, troop movements, etc., especially if he had his exclusive "spot" for lucrative clientele's "buff up". Must've been terrible in cold/wet weather unless inside train station. The rejuvenated box is a loving tribute to past entrepreneurs. Thank you for sharing.❤🎉😊

Scusate ma non sapete utilizzare la tenaglia per togliere i chiodi ! Dovete utilizzare la forma rotonda dalle due tenaglie per tirare fuori il chiodo, non farlo sul lato che voi fate, danneggiando nello stesso tempo il legno… la forma rotonda evita questo ! 😊
Avvolte capita, pensa che io devo riuscire a riprendere bene le scene per mostrarlo nel video. Avvolte sfugge qualcosa per fare delle riprese discrete

Tip, when you are going to use the Hyde glue. Set the bottle in a cup of hot water first. It will warm up the glue and loosen it up so it is more pliable to work with.

I miei 2 cent per aiutarti a migliorare, sperando di darti un aiuto costruttivo 1) aggiungi un voice over dove spieghi la storia dell'oggetto, cosa stai facendo e le tecniche utilizzate, oppure perche scegli di apportare una modifica In alternativa se vuoi fare un video asmr devi avere attrezzature ed ambiente consono 2) cerca di snellire un po il video, dura troppo, e alla fine metti l'oggetto a confronto prima e dopo il restauro utilizzando le stesse inquadrature possibilmente 3) se si tratta di restauro perche hai aggiunto una maniglia? Era mancante ma l'oggetto in origine era cosi? 4) sai meglio di me che il legno piallato perde la sua patina, se é possibile si evita 5) quando utilizzi la tenaglia puoi utilizzare un pezzo di scarto sotto in modo da non rovinare il legno Per il resto complimenti, anche io ho appena fatto un restauro simile ma dovrei decidermi ad accendere la telecamera...
Sto pensando da tempo ad aggiungere la voce fuori campo, ma ancora non sono del tutto convinto.(anche perché non mi piace il suono della mia voce) magari userò il tuo consiglio come incoraggiamento. Anche per gli altri consigli prenderò spunto. Grazie del pensiero
Sul punto 1, parliamone……, ci sono KZheadr che straparlano! La durata del filmato mi sembra corretta. Sulla patina non mi esprimo, proprio non saprei, so che negli orologi si preferisce sempre mantenere un quadrante originale, anche se è molto rovinato
Ciao pinolo,anche a me non piace vedere un video dove la maggior parte del tempo vedo qualcuno parlare. Magari in certi punti si potrebbe pensare a una voce fuori campo. (ci sto solo pensando 😁) Ripensando alla partina e al piallato, l'unico pezzo che ho piallato è stato la sagoma della forma del piede. Ma è stata piallata solo da una parte inferiore proprio per lasciare la patina in superficie. Ho cercato quel vecchio sali scendi per gradini proprio perché aveva una patina griggiastara simile alla cassa.

Ma xché scrivere restauro?? La vernice originale dovevi lasciarla,...la ferramenta si brunisce cn cannello e poi la immergi nel olio o nella cera, (se nn hai la fiamma ossidrica o una forgia, x scaldare al blu quei pezzetti li ti viene abbastanza anche un po' di carbonella e ci soffi sopra ) E poi la magistrale fettuccia di tapparella tipica del periodo, 🤦, poi che roba è quella colla li?? Colla animale a freddo?? Bah... Cmqe nn scrivere restauro nel titolo xché di restauro qui c'è pco niente, e magari chi vuole imparare davvero guarda KZhead trova sti video, e fa solo che danni su roba VERAMENTE antica.
Chi dice che la vernice è originale? Può essere stato riverniciato più volte? Se leggi bene è un imbrunitore a freddo La colla si evolve non c'è bisogno del pentolino a bagno maria La fornace ancora non la tengo.
A me è piaciuto ma sei così bravo aspetto per vedere anche i tuoi lavori su cose veramente antiche 😅

It turned out fairly good. I really don't want to complain but without positive criticism it's impossible to correct errors. Was surprised at the manner chosen to fix the crack. It would have taken longer to take the piece apart but then it would be possible to fix it properly. The other issue was the footrest, the footrest is always toe up for the client otherwise clients would only come by once and then choose someone else to polish their shoes because of the discomfort. I liked how you went to so much trouble to make the base look old but then the footrest just ended up looking awful. New, unworn and wrong direction. I know it seemed the right direction due how the box opens and the slant of the top, can't explain that.
Thanks for your suggestions. I also think the opening of the box should have been on the other side. I would have liked to have the foot shape turned upside down, I liked it better. I ended up placing it this way so you can use it as a handle to pick it up. For the shape of the foot
