Exactly the problem, yet another non-competitive fight for Canelo. It's crazy how his fans defend these fights. His last four opponents after Saturday will be Mungia, his second fight at 168,Jermell Charlo, who fights at 154, two weight classes lower. Before that John Ryder, a journeyman and an even further declined GGG in their third fight. Canelo has been the face of boxing but why does he rarely fight top opponents. This has been the trend for many years. He can do what he wants because he's a star but damn man, stop holding the belts hostage. DB been the mandatory for three years. After he beats Mungia, instead of facing Benevidez, he'll fight Berlanger and they'll try to hype it with a Puerto Rico vs Mexico narrative. Yet another one sided non competitive fight. Shit is ridiculous, A lot of his fans in Mexico and here in US the stopped fw him. Boxing fans, not Canelo fans want him to dare to be great.

When I was an amateur I fought at 118 and the lightest sparring partner weighed 147. I felt he always got the better of it but when it came to the day of the fight he would always lose. I won all my fights but one.

The only big advantage I see on Munguia is he’s younger. Canelo has faced way more hard hitting and talented fighters in his career. Canelo is at the top end of his prime still and munguia is barely entering his. Munguia isn’t going to show canelo something Mayweather Golovkin Cotto Bivol Haven’t showed him before.
