Remember Arthur? The aardvark that helped you know how to SPELL aardvark? This PBS show is still running and I think it's about time I ruin it for EVERYONE! It's my job! I started watching through some episodes and started to notice something: there are a LOT of bunnies on this show. Now, there are plenty of jokes to make about rabbits but what I have to show you is MUCH darker than that. I am about to pull back the veil to show the tragic secret of the Arthur universe.

  • Orangutans (like Muffy) can live around 40 years in the wild, or up to 50 years in captivity. In the Arthurverse that means they could potentially live up to 176 years, going by your scale. It's no wonder the orangutans have accumulated so much wealth and power, because they are so long lived.

  • 2 mins in and I legit JUST learned Arthur was an aardvark. I always thought he was a mouse. That scene where he dances around learning how to spell aardvark (which is also the tune I hear whenever I spell that word...not that often) just got even more awesome! ...and 60 seconds later Matpat references that moment 😂😂 goddamn I love these videos!!!

    • DUEY Yeah, I’m pretty sure almost all of the main character’s parents are of the same species. The only exception I can think of is Gumball’s family and some of his other family members. The interesting thing is that the kids at Elmore Junior High are dating different species. Do we need a theory on this?

  • Theory, Arthur I think Arthur is relying on real world scenarios like where different races can date/marry. And Arthur does follow some worldly scenarios so it could be possible that they’d re pretty much just humans or animals with human ways?? I think in the Arthur universe, to sum it all up.. is that it’s playing off real world stuff and not particularly animals. Just the character design are supposed to be animals with humane problems not relying on science or biologically

  • You know, this actually seems positive to me. The rabbits could easily have been treated very differently by their society, but they are embraced and parents take care of the rabbit orphans without hesitation. It's not a perfect society but it has things to build upon and improve. Just like ours

    • Though it doesn't make any sense biologically....you can see those kids are just the combination of traits from their parents. Molly has a pink nose like her mom and rabbit ears. Her brother has the dad's nose and rabbit ears. Emily has a combination of her dad's nose and mom's complexion.

  • This book series called "The Land of Stories" actually explains a LOT of stuff from the Grimm Fairy Tales, and one thing it talked about was about the Evil Queen's mirror. Apparently, it's like being in a room full of mirrors, but it sucks out your individuality/memory the more time you spend in there. Basically what I remember was that the Evil Queen had a lover who was eventually lost in the mirror. She had worked a lot to get him out, but there was no success, leading him to lose his memories and personality. She became heartbroken, and that's what I remember reading.
