  • Case No: 1755 Name: Dave (surname redacted) Status: Missing Details: Dave has not been seen since attending a group meeting in 1989. Attendees of the meeting recall Dave arriving normally but acting increasingly oddly over the course of the group session - as though sapped of energy. One group member recalls hearing the 'menacing' (description used by witness) phrase of "I think I've done enough with you Dave" at the meeting. Group leader Richard Walker however is adamant that Dave left in high spirits and is adamant "we didn't drain him - if that's what you're implying." No officers have implied this at any stage of the investigation. Richard and Elizabeth Walker are now over 115 and 110 years old respectively. Richard now has jet black hair, no wrinkles, if 6ft 5inches tall and recently led his local water polo team to a victory against Olympic class opponents. A hollowed of husk was found wearing blue jeans and a checked jumper 5 miles from the Walker residence but crumbled to dust when examiners approached it. The mystery continues.

The Alexander technique includes more than just relaxation although it’s a very important part of it.

  • This may seem odd to some, but this is a posture technique taught in quite a few performance schools. This is what’s known as the Alexander Technique. Helps with loosening the joints, bettering your posture, and overall allowing for more efficient movement. Developed for actors initially, it’s been adopted by classical musicians, and is sometimes taught to pregnant women and the elderly to help fight against back pain. I was taught the technique when I was in high school while in the honors choir. I’ve certainly slipped in some of the teachings but my posture still is great. I know because people often comment on how straight I stand and carry myself.

    • It’s also cool how the visualization aspect of the technique has been used in other movement therapies! My mother is a massage therapist (and ex-personal trainer) and several techniques that I’ve seen taught secondhand at the Swedish institute all have a real aspect of the same kinda,,,, visualization/manifestation. Something about telling a body to do something internally really helps the joints actually, do it. it’s wild.

I theory, I will fall straight into the chair with my spine perfectly straight, vastly reducing the risks normally associated with entering a chair.
