  • I love it! This is Tesla making fun of the other OEM’s on how they wrap their vehicles so people can’t tell the curves, angles, or type of vehicle. Problem is the Cybertruck is so unique and noticeable there isn’t anything you can put on it to blend in lol.

    • I said when Elon first revealed the cyber truck, that he missed a great opportunity. If he would have just made the truck look somewhat normal, people would have been all over that thing. Even the truck people that are ev sceptics. But he made the thing look like something from a cheesy sci-fi movie. With Tesla tech, a more traditional looking truck could have destroyed anything any other auto maker would have brought to the table. Missed opportunity IMHO.

    • @@Appletank8 not really, once crevice corrosion starts it continues to cycle internally as the wrap does not let hydrogen product to escape from underneath…Crevice corrosion occurs when a small, confined space on a metal surface traps a solution containing corrosive ions. This trapped solution becomes more corrosive due to the limited access to oxygen and the concentration of aggressive ions, leading to accelerated corrosion at the crevice. Maybe still worth the try… however the reason you pay for stainless steel is for its corrosion resistance and lower maintenance costs 😂 thanks for the thought 😊

    • It's actually pretty awesome looking in person, but yeah. I can't understand why they made it look like this. Besides doing body work on a dented cyber truck I don't understand. Maybe the panels are inexpensive to replace but I doubt it. I watched a video about a riven or something like that. It has a dented bumper area basketball size. The repair cost was $40k because it has to be disassembled so far to fix it. The guy took it to a place that fixed it with suction cups instead. Took him a day to fix it I think and looked near perfect.

    • I’ve always been a sports car fanatic and one of our vehicles is a Model 3 Long Range. I’ve had a Corvette, a manual transmission Mk7.5 GTI, and now have been driving an Alfa Romeo Giulia TI for some time now. All these cars are highly sought after in terms of performance. I don’t understand the hate for the Tesla. “Ohhh there’s no engine, it doesn’t have a soul, Teslas are for cheating in drag races.”The Tesla is its own unique animal, and the technology, comfort, usability, power, and surprising handling for a 4000 pound vehicle actually do make this car fun. Kinda like the stealth fighter of the streets.

Although the cybertruck design is certainly influenced by other vehicles from the past that attempted to represent what their designers thought the future will look like too.
