Lanterne Rouge presents highlights of Stage 1 of Tour de la Provence, featuring 45km/h winds close to the coast line and flat roads, it would be a miracle if the peloton featuring Nairo Quintana, Julian Alaphilippe and Filippo Ganna all made it to the finish in one piece.

Love this analysis - Keep it up LR! 🙌
Wonderful racing! Keep it up Ineos 🤪👌
Came here to say the same. Brilliant summary of the stage by LR.
Agreed
I just tuned in and Nairo was leading the group in the crosswinds i was like wtf is happening here. Didnt expect such a banger stage today.
😁👊
incredible when ganna dropped the peloton not even attacking.
great stage - Ganna stooooopid strong
Everyone is already destroyed Haha filipo go brrrrrr
@@philipmeisterl brrrrrr
Ganna or Morkov who you got?
Ganna goes brrr 😅
Quintana looking solid as a rock. The dark horse is keeping a low profile and may benefit from being underestimated this year. My bold bet for a Grand Tour GC win.
Arkea's doctors and budget doesnt match the big 3
impossible, a stage win is much more realistic
Unfortunately modern GTs are impossible to win without a really good TT
He won’t win owt.
Red hot take 🥵
Imagine a real Ganna attack in the classics. I don’t want to be the guy holding onto his wheel across the cobbles
Cancellara like situation
Mvdp last year at Roubaix was destroying it too... Up to the last 20km where he had nothing left...
He could win a classic the same way van Baarle won Dwars door Vlaanderen last year and Ganna is an even better time trialist. Not sure how good he is on cobbles though.
With all due respect, you won't be
@@rogerpartington9413 Nobody asked
You have to love how Nairo has learned from his mistakes. He has worked hard on this cross-wind game so that Stage2 of TDF 2015 never happens again. So sad to see the TDF slip away that day
Yeah I remember him being quiet good in crosswinds in Paris-Nice few years back. Too bad he didn't learn it when he was still a good GC contender.
That was fun to watch! Always impressed when Climber Quintana turns into Echelon Quintana. Props to Ineos; masterfully done.
"Ganna goes brrr" needs to become a thing
Honestly LR is such a great channel, this high quality content really increases my enjoyment of the sport, keep up the good work guys, the UCI should be paying you!
Carapaz - Apex Predator - love it! There is always a surprise, thanks LR.
These race breakdowns are awesome, thanks for doing them. When Ganna initially closed that break at the end, I thought he could’ve ridden away if he just put his head down and never looked back.
quintana is such a good racer. so smart at positioning.
Such entertaining analysis by LR, loved it. This is a banging start to the race, I'm hyped to see more!
Really love how you do your freeze frame + rider labels - makes it so much clearer what's going on.
Exciting stage! Nice to see INEOS attacking mode. Congrats Elia! 👊👏 Thanks from Brazil.
LR that was breakdown was top shelf man. Thanks for the next level cycling content. Reminded me of the old "Crosswind Chaos" videos you used to put out. Wouldn't mind seeing some more of those next off season!
That Gaana side profile shot smashing the gap was fantastic.
Pro analysis. Moreso, impassioned analysis. Someone give this guy Lanterne a job!
Great racing, great photography, great analysis. This is the good shit.
This felt like "old" Team Sky today, and I'm here for it.
are we gonna get a different ganna goes *sound* for every stage?
Such a treat to watch pros in an echelon makes me pumped, for everything, but spring big riders bad weather rough parcours!!👍 Good observations loved this so much! Rowe doing what good road captains do + so much experience
Brilliant analysis
NAIROMAN FOR DUTCH NATIONAL CHAMPS!! . Now that he is a cross wind god
Great racing and top class analysis 👏
El Jaguar “Apex predator” 🐆 😂
Great commentary, just superb !
great analysis mate
Fantastic recap, thank you Laterne Rouge! And yes, Nairoman go thermonuclear please 🚴🏿♂️💪🏿
excellent analysis!
Ganna out training for the sea level hour record.
Such a good analysis 🙌🏼
Entertaining content, Patrick! thnx
Quintana just sneaked into the peloton like a little devil
GOAT coverage.
6:03 richard : oi ganna waiitt 🤣
Great ride by Bodnar
Great 📹 thanks
Goes BRRRR
Love the intro! LOL!
LFG! Matteo - passed him on Latigo Canyon in Malibu a few months back, great seeing an American in the top 10 💪🇺🇸
Luke looking strong ready for classics
INEOS Grenadiers!!!!!!!!!!!
NairoInGreen Forever!!
The Hayter GC dream is dead this time around
Never was a dream
Why is this channel so much better than Chris Horner’s when he actually races multiple grandies?
Horner doesn't have the footage, which makes his content a lot harder to follow. Also he just doesn't have the nature talent of making a speech interesting. I finish every single one of LR's video easily but sometimes Horner's just feels tedious and I close it half way through. All that said, Horner's experience in the actual peleton (and winning one grand tour) makes a huge amount of difference. Sometimes he shares incredible insights. One just have to sit through a lot of his somewhat dull contents to find the gems.
This race was supposed to be shown on Eurosport here in Denmark. But i can’t find it anywhere 😭 It just got removed from the tv-guide 😭
what a nice stage, that I competly ignored because of the profile. P.S.: Carapaz Bike looks mighty in the Sun
Viviani will always be the rider who Wout our sprinted in 2019 TDF
props to him not getting traped
Imagine the extra leg burn pushing the extra spokes plus rotor of a disc wheel at those speeds and cross winds lol. Would suck compared to the rim brake versions.
Nairomannn!
these guys look so sharp...can't believe it's only February..
Ganna probably has more power in his little toe then I have in both my legs when he puts the power down it is something to behold and to think he is probably at least 20 kg heavier than most other riders. What a monster.
Alaphilippe and Quintana, nice.
Quintana got that Crosswind God Badge sheeesh
Ganna is BRUTAL 🤣
Filipo ganna goes brrr! Hahaha
Luke Rowe is just such a beast
It's funny when Ganna can just chase down any attack.
NAIROMAN !!!!
I wonder if a rider can use 650b wheels in a race? Or do all bikes have to be the same? All 700c wheels? I know some riders use 650b in time trials. Emma Poole did.
Matteo!!!!
Carapaz is not motivated unless Movistar is chasing him
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
You'd think as a TT specialist Ganna would keep his elbows in for those aero gainzz
ganna goes brrrrrrrrr
Ganna goes BRR, yes, but Nairoman going BRR is legendary
Have you ever thought about doing mtb race covers?
Speed bump in full finale (6:40), that’s ridiculous
Quintana is leaaaan
may be the new equipment change el o el, this guy
Ganna should go for the breakaway tomorrow. The gradients shouldn't be too hard for him.
With Bernal out for the year, if Nairoman keeps looking this good and gets his 2020 form for the tour, a podium is 100% possible if a few things go his way
Daniel Martínez will ride for Bernal
Carapaz tired of that gold helmet already?
I called it #vivianitothetour #nairoforgreen
When Sep Vanmarcke is second it's a sprint in name only
😱
Did you say, Carapaz Jaguar Dorado????
Yes
Nairo
Ineos know nairo is going for GC here so they are just going for stages
Gee, Luke Rowe would be a great team mate.
Surprising how poorly these pros deal with crosswinds. Everyone out of the lead rotation should create their own rotation, as many rotations as necessary to hold contact.
2nd
APEX PREDATOR
Ganna op, pls nerf
Can't remember the last time I saw a pack of dopers that large.
I watched the GCN+ version of this race and compared to the level of commentary given by LR...its a joke 🤣
There's a difference between stage analysis and commentary.
@@huwsparky175303 who wants subscription based commentary when you can have free analysis? 😉 (no more comments from me now)
Is it me or LR Recaps are way better than races themselves? Guess i am not a true cycling fan. #RecapFan
