  • Maybe this isn't the setting to say it, but to hear BCs son issues and what he has probably been through as a father I just have the most massive respect for him and for the fact that he always has a cheerful attitude through at least the parts he lets us see. Hope if life tests me like that I can respond in the same way.

    • @@burlhorse61 I believe (in-part) because they were twins, there were complications (possibly associated with prematurity and/or cerebral palsy), but BC mentions moments early in their lives where one (or both) required extensive medical care for potentially life-threatening medical conditions--not sure, just my recollection from following MK and being able to relate as a father and pediatrician. I love hearing him talk so lovingly about his kids, and you can tell (from BC talking about it in the past) the heavy issues in the beginning changed BC as a parent for the better.

  • So many fighters speak (or don't speak) so blindly about their losses. In the first 10 mins from the way MVP spoke about the Perry fight even cracking jokes shows he has the self awareness that got him to this stage and hopefully keeps him moving towards the belt. Great stuff from BC and Luke as always!

Nice of him to give a nod to his Lau Gar roots. Lau Gar was where it was at in the early eighties with standouts like: - Alfie "The Animal" Lewis (Tony Bellews old coach) - Kevin "The Jedi" Brewerton Gotta like his film choices. • Just to go against the current here, fighters have to stop comparing themselves to football players or other pro sports. NFL players play 17 games in 18 weeks. MLB players play 162 games in 6 months. Fighters figbt maybe twice a year. You can talk about the dangers of fighters training and all that but its 2023, we've known fight organizations treat fighters poorly for a long time now and they still sign the contracts and make it life long goal to join. They gotta stop complaining in interviews and actually do something about it.

    • Bellator top Bantamweights are Magomed Magomedov(has beaten petr yan before, they each win a fight), Sergio Pettis(was ranked number 2 in the ufc and beat Brandon Moreno) Pettis wasn't in his prime in the ufc and still ranked number 2, Pettis is in his prime now and even bigger and better. Raffeon Stots(won a split decision against Magomed Magomedov), Kyoji Horraguchi(7-1 in the ufc), Danny Sabatello(Has the only 30-24 unanimous win in the history of the contender series, also beat A prime Bret johns that came from the ufc and had a ufc 5-2 record and was ranked number15 in the ufc, Sabatello beat him after accepting the fight on 7 days notice), Patchy mix, Leandro higo, Juan Archuleta, Enrique Barzola, Darrion Caldwell, Josh Hill, Nikita Milkaulov, Marcos Breno, Matheos mathos(only lost to petr yan and Magomed Magomedov), Jonnell Lugo, James Gallagher, Brett johns. Bellator bantamweight division is elite too.Bellators Usman Nurmagomedov would beat all the lightweights in the ufc except Islam Makhachev. Facts. Dricus Du Pleisis came from EFC in Africa(a much smaller organization than Bellator) and he is 4-0 in the ufc currently. Ronnie Lawrence came from Bellator and is 3-1 in the ufc currently. His only loss was in Bellator. Bellator Brett Johns was 5-2 in the UFC.Bellator has fighters that have beaten ufc champs. Bellator's Magomed Magomedov beat Petr Yan 1-1, Bellator Gegard Mousasi beat former ufc champ Chris Wiedman when Wiedman was in his prime. Bellator Sergio Pettis was ranked number 2 in the ufc and beat Brandon Moreno, Bellator's Deanna Bennett beat ufc champ Julliana Pena, Bellators Cris Cyborg beat every female 145lbs she fought in the ufc except Amanda nunes, who got beat by Bellator's Cat Zingano, Bellator's Corey Anderson beat former ufc champ Glover texaira and former ufc champ Yan blachovich(they are 1-1, need a trilogy). Bellator Kyoji Horraguchi was 7-1 in the ufc and only lost to One championships Demetrius Johnson. Most of the fighters that came to Bellator from the ufc were still in their prime. Put some respect on Bellator. Bellator has a good number of Elite fighters like the UFC, ufc just has more. Bellator's Magomed Magomedov beat Petr Yan 1-1, need a trilogy, Bellator's Austin Vanderford beat every opponent on Dana white contender series and came to Bellator, Eddie Alvarez came from Bellator and won the ufc title, Phil Davis was 9-2 in the UFC and came to Bellator still in his prime, Cris Cyborg beat every female opponent in the UFC except Amanda nunes definitely deserves a rematch, Kevin Holland came from Bellator and won 5 straight in the UFC in just 1 year, Justin Gaetche came from a smaller organization called WSOF and has achieved great success and won the UFC interim title, Alexander Volkov came from Bellator and is top 5 in the UFC, Bellator's Soren Bak beat UFC'S paddie pimblet, Jorge Masvidal came from Bellator, Bellator hasthe better Lima brother Doughlas, UFC has Dhiego Lima, UFC signed CM Punk Lol, UFC doesn't have the best Flyweight of all times Demetrius Johnson One Championship has him, Bellator's Vadim Nemkov could definitely be light heavyweight champ in the ufc, Raffion Stots could easily be top 3 in the UFC bantamweight division, Bellator's amosov 27-0 could easily be top 3 in the UFC welterweight division and would give Usman serious competition, Gegard Mousasi wrecked most his opponents in the UFC and is regarded as top 5 middleweight in all of mma and came to Bellator still in his prime, Bellator's Aj McKee and Patricio Pitbull would easily be top 3 in the UFC and could be champ too, Sergio Pettis did great in the UFC came to the UFC when he was 18 fighting at 125, now dude is officially in his prime and his body has filled out plus the move to 135 is best for him, he is fighting at a higher level like he is Pettis 2.0(imagine if he fought in his prime in the UFC), Benson Henderson did great in the UFC overall but struggled in Bellator. Bellator's Kyoji was 7-1 in the UFC. Danny Sabatello can be top 3 in the ufc.Jeremy Kennedy was 3-1 in the UFC before coming to Bellator still in his prime his only loss in the UFCwas volkanowski, Bellators Yaroslov Amosov 27-0 could be top 3 or champ in the ufc, Bellators Saul Rodgers won TUF and beat UFC Ryan hall easily, Anatoly Tokov can definitely be top 5 in the UFC, Bellators Johnny Eblem can be top 5 in the UFC, Juan Archuleta can definitely be top 7 in the UFC, Michael Paige can definitely be top 10 in the UFC especially if he tightens up his defense, Bellator's Julliana Velasquez can be top 2 in the UFC and Ilima lei McFarlane can be top 5 in the UFC women's flyweight division, Corey Anderson was top 4 in the UFC and came to Bellator still in his prime. Bellator's Sergio Pettis was a kid not even in his prime and he beat Brandon Moreno. Sergio Pettis was ranked number 2 in the ufc before coming to Bellator. Bellators Raymond Daniel's knocked out Tony Ferguson in the gym. Chris Curtis was losing fights in PFL, he tightens up in a lesser known organization comes to ufc and starches his first 2 highly respected opponents thus far. He is currently 3-1 in the ufc. Also in the early parts of some of the prelims there are a couple of fighters that are not signed that are basically auditioning for a contract and chance for Bellator to build them. As the Prelims roll on the higher tier fighters get to fight as they move to the main card the elite fighters fights all through. Yes there are elite fighters outside the UFC bubble. Real mma fans would appreciate the fact that there are more mma organizations to enjoy fights from.Sabatello is 12-1 beast that has punished ufc fighters, and recently destroyed former ufc fighter named Brett johns in a fight card. Bellator has a very deep bantamweight roster including the guy that beat petr Yan named Magomed Magomedov.Jack Hermansson came from Bellator. He was getting beat in Bellator, went to a smaller organization got better and made it to the ufc. Chidi Njokauni came from Bellator and he starched a quality UFC opponent in 28 seconds. He also beat UFC'S Alan Choban and Max Griffin in another promotion, He is currently 3-0 in the ufc.
