For a 30 year old who hadn't played baseball since he was 17 or 18 it was damn impressive. His coaches said by the end he was improving big time. So what he hit around.200. Stats do not always tell the truth. If he had never played basketball but went the baseball route he probably would have been a pro in his 20s.

As competitive as Jordan was, you don’t think he wanted to play in the big leagues for his dad? He did everything in basketball by 1993.. if he was good at baseball like people think he was, then he would’ve stayed and made a big league roster spot and been the first to EVER do it with basketball. It just so happened to coincide with his father's murder AND the owner of the White Sox is the same owner of the Bulls. Reinsdorf was able to keep an eye on MJ with any team within the organizationa as an insider.
