Battle State Games have responded to the community uproar following the unveiling of their "Unheard Edition" which ironically is leaving many feeling just that: Unheard.
The band aid fix BSG is attempting to apply while maybe placating some just isn't going to cut it for the community at large, and with financial troubles behind the scenes, it's unclear just who is going to bend first, the players or BSG.
Today we take a look at why the Escape of Tarkov community is feeling so betrayed and what BSG has decided to offer them in an attempt to ease tensions.
Some clarifications as pointed out by some comments.
$250 is the asking price for the Unheard Edition for owners not already possessing the EOD edition, those users do have the option to upgrade for $100. But that's essentially the same cost as original owners would have spent $150, so another $100 is $250, or you'd pay just slightly less with $112.50 + $100.
Still think the main point of the video stands, promising your customers future dlc and then trying to get one over on them by calling an update something else is a poor attempt to bleed them for more money.

@@orb__O__ponderer When I paid for EOD, I seem to remember being assured I'd not have to pay for future DLCs, period. " We don't call this a DLC, so yes, you have to pay ", isn't enough for me. I live in Brazil, where EOD costs us around 600 bucks. Pretty big investment. I'm dumping tarkov like a bad habit, as many of my friends in the community are as well.
If they had made PvE part of EoD and launched it as a stand-alone $20 DLC for non-EoD they would have made a killing. All of our friends who haven't wanted to play online would be playing with us
This is the biggest kick in the nuts, ain't no way I can play with my friends with this price point, and the main reason to get this is to play with your friends. They die you radio them back in and play PvE it's honestly a good idea
Imagine they stuck with their original vision, made it open world, release an offline version, added say WOW style raids and shit. Wouldve make them million
I'm going to give them exactly 1 week to fix this. If nothing changes I uninstall the game and take down all my Tarkov content online. I would encourage the entire Tarkov Community to Shadow Band this game if they don't fix their mistake AND MAKE UP FOR IT. They owe us not just an apology, they lied to us. They have to earn us back.

This is a good and fair take on the situation, I genuinely think if they were running on fumes and opened up to the community about this and the way forward it would have been well Recieved and people would have been happy to find ways to help them financially.
Try and claim a refund through their payment handler due to fraud. I'm working on it myself for 3 EOD accounts. BSG is actually UK company. The UK has pretty strict consumer protection laws
I love the concept of PvE Tarkov, but im not paying for Unheard Edition to get access to that. Unless they give EOD access to PvE or make it 20$ standalone, my ass is hoping on Singeplayer Tarkov API instead, i don't care if its bannable.
they should just include the PVE + co op in the first or second edition so casuals can buy the game to play it, im pretty sure i could get my friends to get the game if PVE + co op was 50 - 60 $ max

All BSG has to be is let the hosting be done on the host computer (one of us), that is then the host for their friends, and everyone's progress is saved locally. Any person can host and doesn't lose progress and BSG doesn't have to spend $$$ on hosting services. Save the money for servers, and we get what we want for cheaper.

Fuck the money. The problem is throwing all balancing out of the window. It´s already shit to play against people who carry a inaccessible bank vault in their axxes. Now they call in their whole squad and get all stats boosted while Scavs are barely any threat to them. Again, this is not about money. It´s about shitting al over everyone who doesn´t want to play in a poay to win environment. At least give us Raid filters, so I can play with people who also play with standard editions. I´m done with every goody disappearing in someones butt within the first 10 minutes of the raid! it´s not our problem pissed all the money away with movies and partying.
Free access to all subsequent DLCs (Season pass) this is also in the new edition but yeah we know now thats all BS because we that have the EOD version dont got that sweet pve mode so they are just going to continue their lies on the new version

The Fence rep is a +0.3 which to me isn't game breaking. Still need to grind to 6.0+ to have max karma. The scavs agro the same UNTIL max karma AND you have to have the new item equipped. Then they don't agro outside of 60 meters. They will aggro the same within that distance. Also it's a 100 dollar increase if you already owed EOD, not the full 250. The 250 is if you don't own the game already at all
we finally got rid of streamers and twitch vocal minority, good riddance and never come back. i would gladly buy quest completion bundles and kappa container if bsg needs more funding.
