    • not gonna lie i said the same thing i’ve never trained or anything so i don’t have much of a say so but that seems like a long time to train for specifically one thing and to still look that bad doesn’t seem right to me 🤷‍♂️ obviously these fighters have train ed basically their entire lives but a year with real professional trainers training literally every day without anything else like a job or anything to worry about and to still look that bad like you didn’t learn anything just doesn’t seem right to me 🤷‍♂️ oh well whatever respect to him for actually trying

It takes a combination of hard work and natural talent, that Punk did not possess. He had years of training and his boxing looked stiff and atrocious

  • I seriously think Punk was one of the greatest of all time. Honestly, his footwork and head movement made him virtually unstoppable. I never seen someone with such incredible KO prowress. It's too sad he retired early. My personal favorite all time match up would have been Jon Jones vs Punk and I would give the slight advantage to JJ for his reach advantage but if Punk takes him down he could make it very interesting!

    • @@treasurer3763 problem is he was signed to the world s biggest stage and his lack of fighting talent, IQ and athleticism was laid bare for the world to see even against nobodies. Batista had an MMA fight; didnt perform as well as his physique suggested but he demonstrated decent fight IQ and heart to win anyway

    • it's because he had no combat sports experience, leapfrogged over an entire process, and got his spot on a main card in a numbered event simply because of a pro-wrestling reputation. This is the biggest event in MMA....you can't just pull ppl off the street. You've got to earn your shot. Punk did NOTHING to earn his spot on that card.

    • The problem and the "hate" you're talking about do not come from the fact that he was 37 and beat up, the problem is that he had ZERO real fights under his belt, and barely 2 years of training : and with that he got a ticket for the highest level pro MMA company , a ticket that young guys who have been training for years , blood sweat and tears their whole life, do not obtain . This is the reason why punk was hated by every young aspiring MMA fighters, and even UFC fighters who do know what it takes, the sacrifices that they have to make in order to be pro MMA athletes.

  • Lol when he was doing the heavy bag at the start and Duke was yhyh good job made me feel so bad for punk like didn't he watch any tapes of his own training or how he looks when he fights or throws punches lol. The placebo effect is real and this video is proof of that. Its like if there was a mute commentator sitting next rogan doing ufc fights and he kept being told hes doing a good job and is amazing hel probably believe it aswel.

  • Too bad this guy pretty much was forgotten about. It truly amazes me how little respect he got after the performance he had here. Too bad the ufc decided not to get behind this guy. Imagine what could have been for this kid. I mean in all honesty, CM Punk may be the biggest "What If" in MMA's history. 😆
