I remember when I bought the Bon Jovi New Jersey Album, boy did I have trouble making the money (as a fifteen year old) to buy it. When I finnaly had the dough in my hands I went all excited to the record store, it was called Coco Disco and bought it! That night and for at least six other nights in a row I laid in bed enjoying that music on my cassete player, as only teenagers can!

@Raccoon8504 жыл бұрын
@@Raccoon850 I remember these songs but was too young to buy records at the time. Some years later all hit hard with hits like, enter sandeman, symphony of destruction etc so I made a rewind and bought every hard rock/heavy metal album from these bands which led me to other bands, 80s and 70s. A friend of mine had two extra tickets and invited me and my wife to go with him. Atlanta the Omni March 1989. I didn’t know much about them other than the hits like Livin on a Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive. They came on to this song with the drum and guitar build up and everyone went nuts. Then pyrotechnics and Jon appeared on stage out of nowhere and this song kicked in. I was in a state of euphoria and I thought I’d never heard a better opening song in all my life. And the good feel energy that Jon has was electrifying.

If 2022 (this year) is the last time he ever tours, I'd be ok with it, since I finally got to see them live up in Indianapolis on April 19th. It irritates the hell out of me that people are complaining about his vocals going in and out, he's in his 60s and still willing to give us what we want, live performances, let's cut him some slack, shall we?

We saw the same tour in Baton Rouge, LA. One of the 1st shows on the tour. At the time I'd never heard of Skid Row so we didn't go in at the beginning of their set. We entered the arena as they were playing "Youth Gone Wild". I was blown away. Bad ass song. I always regretted not seeing their whole set. Of course Bon Jovi blew the place up. It was a good show.

As far as I know, Jon can no longer sing the way he used to be singing in the past. And this is sad... 🤔
RIP Alec John Such (1951-2022)
I was 29 years old when this came out l was on the USS Nimitz and with so many different age groups someone told me about this. All l can say is what an experience. Being on that aircraft carrier 86-89 introduced me to some good times and music.
I want my god damn 80s back !!!
Goosebumps Everytime
I live asking the Lord to lay His hands on me! Praise God!
Amen
As a female, I’ve always been extremely jealous of 80’s men’s hair. Pretty sure Jon has never seen a bad hair day
Of course Not.. His father was a hair stylist in his hometown of Saryville , New Jersey. ✌️🌸
Lovely
I doubt it
but we are all bald now lol

This music will never die... Hard rock is still around... just hidden under all that commercial crap.

@@rhodestudios9442 How very clever, dickweed...You come up with that one all by yourself?
@@DarthPhallix Ok boomer
This was the commercial crap back then.
@@rhodestudios9442 Idk he night be right, this has a lot of KZhead Views. Either way it's not really a mainstream genre anymore and probably won't be again.

Ripping up my jeans, growing my hair out and taking my wife's makeup as we speak!!
Yeah man!!
Funny shit 🤣
Back in these days, women took makeup from men.
I know I'm late but FUCK YEAH DUDE!!!!
😂😂😂😂
Chills every time! I’m 19 this year and always got brought up with great music thanks to my family. Fucking amazing !!! Bon jovi is one of the most amazing men out there and always will be ❤️
Some songs are like good wines, they get better and better with age.

I can feel this all the way down to my toes! I was in my 20's when this came out and we were having the times of our lives! I'd love to feel that again, but the rock bar is not a thing anymore! Never like the 80's! Miss these guys' energy!!!
I don't know which is worse, the ones that PRETEND to be the rockstar or famous person or the one's that believe it (if ANY one does)!!!
@@tinahill3423 HHHMMM? You obviously had to be there! Graduating high school and coming into adulthood in the 80's was the absolute best!
Jovi always has those great energy concerts..miss them lots 🎸🎼
We WANT the 80's back!! :)
Char Bandraoi me tooooooooo😣😣😣
Same here
Look im 12 and i love music from the 80s
80's = BEST.

Richie and Alec John Such :The good old times! We miss you!
Eduardo bsn - Absolutely!!
You ment Richie sam boerna
Richie left on his own to make a name for himself, but wsn't that successful, he did eventually come back to Bon Jovi, but from what reports said, they were having issues with him and eventually was let go from the band. As with Alec, he was fired due to reports of him disclosing private info about the band for $$, or something to that effect.
Back when rockers actually connected with their fans! They weren’t afraid of being touched, forgot how CLOSE we could get to bands back in the day!!!
Was at the show, when they filmed at Portland Oregon, remember they played the song twice for the cameras. The cat walk was so cool Bon Jovi walked right over us ..Great times at concert... Oh..the good old days we partied hard that night. 😎🎸🎸🎶
I was there at memorial Colosseum
I was there at the memorial Colosseum 👍🏻
i wish i could build a time machine and go visit every single bon Jovi concert in history… especially this one
Now THAT is the proper use for a time machine! Take note Dr. Brown!
Ask Bulma and Trunks
I have experienced 5. best live band of all time
You would need all the power of the sun and to be able to contain it safely...when it's built let me know....I wanna go lol
I'm so old I saw them open for Ratt!!
at this point Bon Jovi was everything a rock band should be, and its on full display in this video. I really wish I could have been alive during this time! killer track!
Great band
I was!!!!! Great times
I was !!!!great times
I'm happy you weren't!!
I was 13 at the time, and it was amazing. But not just with this video. MTV played music videos 24/7 with exception of MTV news, & a game show called Remote Control. At the mall, I once passed 7 people in 7 different Poison t shirts. Now all we have is youtube.
My NEW favorite Bon Jovi song!!🤣🤣 People can STILL see the 80's!! These videos are all we had too! ROCK ON!!
I love Bon Jovi- this has got to be one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Mine too.
Too bad these awesome young people of today had to miss these unparalleled shows. Tickets? 20 bucks. That was when bands cared about their fans.
Steven Stiles wow I paid £80 when I saw him a on his last tour before this one he’s on now, I’m only 28 would have loved to have been at this show or any back in the day.
@@sammyjotaylor690 When you saw them not him, Bon Jovi are a band-Jon Bon Jovi is when he is solo obviously lol
You should go to the Vegas show June 20,2020!!!They rock man!!!!
20 bucks because back then bands made their fortune with the album sales and hit singles, unlike now, when the income comes from the overpriced 100 bucks tickets, hoping for a hit video on youtube and legal downloads.
@@jjrj8568 Sad but true. Concerts then were sooo unpretentious and were more like some giant party.
80's and early 90's were the best concerts ever!! No phones to distract you and you actually SAW the band's every move. Slippery When Wet was my first tour and I saw him a lot more after that.
Saw them on the New Jersey tour! They were Awesome! I remember my Dad asking me who the girl was on my shirt, lol! It was a picture of Jon from the shoulders up, looking cute as always!❤❤🔥🔥
When was this Becki? 88? 89? 90?
Bon Jovi have been together for a long time🎶
Men will never look as good as this nowadays
The women either...especially with all the plastic now.
You'd be surprised! 😎
WE COULD SAY THE SAME ABOUT WOMEN! THEY'RE ALL TRYING TO LOOK LIKE MEN NOW!
@@ClayMationNation Both men and women lookalike now. Both are full of implants, 24h workouts and are overly concerned about their looks, more than genuinely having fun. Like, for example, on this concert.
Ironically crazy as hell
One of the best opening intro of any Bon Jovi song I've ever heard! Those heavy drums of Tico's and the announcer's voice along with the images make it very dramatic.
Your awesome
Hello my Pretty friend
Totally agree.. what an intro.
This video is still watchable in my early 60's
This was a Awesome Concert. Seen them with Skid Row in Lakeland Florida when I live in Palm Harbor fl. Stayed at the same hotel they all did.. 1988 - 1989 ... Still have the shirt Sebastian Bach took off and threw in the crowd. I was on my husband's Shoulders, threw it right to me...Awesome night.... 2 of the Best bands I every seen in concert.
Aaa
How refreshing not to see a thousand iPhones in the air instead of fists of pure joy!
Amen to that!
That crap pisses performers off, too. Rob Zombie doesn't care for it. "Live in the moment! Rock show!!" please people, limit your filming time. You'll come out with a bad video with shitty sound because you wanna capture it for later instead of enjoying what you paid to see. Get real. Life advice here.
Most up and coming bands don't mind at all because their videos get posted over social media and gives them free air play. I think the only people pissed off are the recording companies who want to sell live DVD's etc

This concert was my first ever concert. Stockholm Globe Arena, Dec 15 1989. The day before my 15th birthday. The memory of this will stay with me until the day I die, or become senile and forget everything and everyone.

Bon Jovi was headlining the 1987 Monsters of Rock over DIO and Metallica, and was headlining at the Festival for Peace in Moscow in 1989 over Scorpions, Mötley Crüe and Ozzy. Bon Jovi ruled over Earth.
Mötley should've headlined the 89 one tho
becoz bon jovi was the most popular in that lineup during that time...
The late 80's was there time but I saw Bon Jovi open for the Scorpions in 1984 when it was the Scorpions time. And Metallica was part of the 1988 Monsters of rock not 87 ..Bon Jovi wasn't part of that. Van Halen headlined of course.
@@Diggerdog2nd WHAT!! Just google DONINGTON 1987. Images: BON JOVI Headliner on DIO and METALLICA. And of course, in the beginning Bon Jovi opened for SCORPIONS. 5 years later Scorpions opened for Bon Jovi. And on the THESE DAYS tour, in the 90s. VAN HALEN opened for Bon Jovi in Europe. Everything easily verifiable on the internet.
@@apachelogiano612 Maybe on the bill Bon Jovi headlined over Scorpions, but we all know that Scorpions kicked everyone's ass that night in Moscow
Jon directing the crowd (starting @ 5:30) and his reaction to them singing is the most adorable thing ever. 😍❤🎸🎵
Just can't stop listening to this songs, just can't stop thinking about the youthful days, you seem to love the music alot right, I can tell from your comment, they will be so glad to know that people are out there who cares and appreciate them so dearly.....by the way nice meeting you on here, I hope you are having a wonderful time out there right ????
This one is for my best friend Cindy, she LOVED job Bon Jovi, she passed away from diabetes, last year. And I know she would of wanted me to play a song of theirs. Love you girl.
I remember seeing Bon Jovi on this tour. We went to two shows. I miss the 80s
This song had so much energy. God its good!!!
Good song . Bon jovi !!!!
THE most awe inspiring, heart racing, hysteria provoking, definitieve, and original entrance to a stage of adoring fans you will EVER witness - bar NONE ! This track is 27 years old (and growing) and I am yet to witness a greater adrenaline rush than the 2 min intude to this Bon Jovi legacy. Stop, listen and behold the exuberance of a once in a life time experience - enjoy !!
+Ben Sillitoe hit the nail on the head there! I remember first seeing this back when it came out and right there at that moment I knew I just HAD to learn to play the guitar!
Yes!
This is my ATF entrance EVER!!!!
Ben Sillitoe god dam well said!!!!
Theres a guy in this thread that's disgusted with it...wants the song to just start. smh.
Bon Jovi has laid his music on us...that was a great move.
Director: How many fireworks do you want? Bon Jovi: YES!
If you're ready, I'm willing and able Help me lay my cards out on the table You're mine and I'm yours for the taking Right now the rules we made are meant for breaking What you get ain't always what you see But satisfaction's guaranteed They say what you give is always what you need So if you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me I'm a fighter, I'm a poet, I'm a preacher I've been to school and baby, I've been the teacher If you show me how to get up off the ground I can show you how to fly and never ever come back down Everything you want is what I need Satisfaction's guaranteed But the ride don't never ever come for free If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me [Solo] Don't you know I only aim to please If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me

If a band ever needed a defining moment to know they made it, it was definitely right there, when Jon held the audience captive and had them all on their feet, and singing! Just the people! lol Long live Bon Jovi!
Wow the lyrics to this song and jon singing it and the band unsurpassed thank God for the homour and pleasure of this great Band ,whether its in the 80s or now got to be one of the best bands in the history of rock and roll phenomenal well deserved in The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame
Loved when they di s the video for bad medicine and the fans got to film it.
@teri Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
One of my all time favorite 80's Rock Stars along with his band. What's even better is that this is a Spiritual Christian Song and that Jon Bon Jovi and his wife are both born again Christians!! Hallelujah and Gloryyyyyyyyyy To GOD ☺️🙏❤️ and Praise GOD Our HEAVENLY FATHER
Often, i consider myself a very lucky man just to be alive at the same time as Bon Jovi. So glad to witness such Awesomeness!!!!!!
The intro build up is outstanding!
A lot of it is ripped off from the song assassing by marillion!!
Bon Jovi had a very strong following in the 80's, especially from women. It was well deserved (the following) as the music was, in some ways, flawless. That takes a lot of dedication and hard work. I certainly enjoyed their style and it made my childhood even more fun!!
Man. What a guitar riff Richie
Tico's drum play is so impressive and powerful too.
New Jersey, a goldmine for rock and roll, Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen, can't beat that.
Dusty Doll .......& that’s why I visit the Garden State every year & had the opportunity to go visit the “Stone Pony” as well !!!
there's something called L.A. tho
5:05 Jon’s KILLER smile. I’m dead.

The eightees were the best. BON JOVI were and ARE still the best. Jon is an unbelievable front man. He makes you believe it's you he is looking at. An ICON. Total professional. He owns the stage............................. I hope the full line-up will re=group ie Richie. For another world Tour. Great times. Am so glad I was part of that era. Real feel good music. Rock on Bonjovi. Love you!!!!
Am I the only one that wants Alec back?
Candie Brooke I suppose he is gone such long time, but he is an original member. Don't think it's gunna happen tho. Think there was a bust up......
Yeah I'm not really listening to Bon Jovi until Richie comes back either because it's not the same during concerts and stuff
I also am hoping they will tour next year I saw them 2001 and they were amaizing totally awesome. Best experience. I am so hoping that I'll get another chance.....rock on!
Candace - No, you are not the only one who wants Alec back!! I miss him and will only listen to songs that were done during the time that he was in the band. IMO the best songs that they did were done during that time!!
I was 11 listening and loving this great song and all songs from Bon Jovi. Made my parents nuts. Always wanted to attend concert but my wishes never came true. 42 years now...Still I feel like a teenager whenever I listen to these great songs. Love to everyone!
I took a river cruise at st Louis in high-school back in 92' still remember that they played this song. Electric then as it is now
Bon Jovi had it together back in the 80s and early 90s. Best of childhood memories.
