The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.”
The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me by Your Name”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Malcolm & Marie,” “Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning”), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game,” “Milk”), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (“Elvis,” “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (“Black Widow,” “Little Women”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Thor: Love and Thunder”), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter,” “Hairspray”), Léa Seydoux (the “James Bond” franchise and “Crimes of the Future”), Souheila Yacoub (“The Braves,” “Climax”), with Stellan Skarsgård (the “Mamma Mia!” films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”).
“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.
Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Present A Legendary Pictures Production, A Film By Denis Villeneuve, “Dune: Part Two.” The film is slated for a March 1, 2024 release in theaters and IMAX nationwide and internationally beginning on 28 February 2024, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
I'm not one to normally geek out over costumes, but hers are absolutely INSANE. Like courtier meets suit of armor, feminine but still formidable, not quite like anything I've seen in a film before.
It fits her character perfectly. I always thought it was a shame that we couldn't see more of her.
Doesn’t she marry Paul ?
@@ts8404political marriage to unite houses and the entire Landsraad. Paul makes it clear early in their marriage he is truly betrothed to Chani and will only love and share children with her which leads to a bunch of bs in Paul’s house in the later books thanks to Irulan and the Bene Gesserit
Gives darksouls vibes.
Yess the chainmail outfit was my favorite
For those who couldn’t see part 1 in theaters, please make an attempt to see this at your nearest movie theater: the sound, the atmosphere, the mood, the visual effects. They need to be seen in a cinema. Watching part 1 was an unforgettable experience.
Unforegttably vaped. This is a plae imitation of Dune. It's Dune light. Dune without the plot, dune without the lore or the depth. Oh it looks and sounds good, but it is a child's version of the tale.
Don't make it look like that. It's the same movie and the experience is not that different than if you watch it well in your house.
Agree with the visual and mood... enjoyed in theatres. Never been a film ive felt like watching again tho, not sure exactly why... think the story didnt grab me enough as others...maybe the second will improve it for me
@@christopherwatson1163 I have to agree. I liked the film, and personally it's one of my favourites to watch now, but it's true the story and the characters were poorly written and ridiculous at points. It was mostly style over substance. A good style, but the substance is what ultimately matters and it wasn't there.
I have to disagree.@@christopherwatson1163
I’ve never heard him called Timmy before 😂😂😂
LIL TIMMY TIM
Timmay!
@@KentrYT Literally the first thing I thought of when she said that
look at me its timmy t, bouta hit u with the z t es t

Her armour costume at the end scene was epic. She looked so hot.
Wasn't a fan of Irulan's character design at first, but it's kinda growing on me. Plus, I love Florence 💜I hope this movie will be as good as it seems so far.
That one with the black veil over her face had me shook tbh
i had no idea who florence pugh was before oppenheimer and since then ooof cant wait
@@shfizzle Really? No Black Widow or Midsommar?
@@ryandavis2464 never saw those. heard of midsommar. didnt know that was pugh on the poster
@@ryandavis2464 And Don't Worry Darling, her acting was great.
There is so much power displayed her voice alone. Excited for this!
The hype for Dune 2im is crazy
She's one of my favorite actresses at the moment. She's a scene stealer
Same here. I hope she starts to do truly good films. I mean Little Women was a fabulous film but I want something more.
@@rafaelc.c. Well she has so far. She's doing a romantic drama film after Dune 2 with Andrew Garfield and the director of Brooklyn, which earned Saoirse Ronan one of her Oscar nominations.
Florence is going to make her character absolutely scene-stealing.🤍
@@nikitamohan3390 Great news. Brooklyn was a very good film.
@@rafaelc.c. Uhhh...well, she didn't have all that much screentime in Oppenheimer, but it was an awesome movie. She was the lead in The Wonder, which was also pretty damn good.
Woo booked Re-release to Dune 1 and booked Dune 2. Can't wait.
Same watched re release and that was my 6th screening overall. Booked dune 2 in advance. Cant wait
Did I just see Christopher Walken??😮🤯 .. 0:20
I'm sold completely.. love that man
Yeah, he's playing the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV
Where you been??? So psyched!
Maybe my favourite actor of all time. I'm quite sure he'll play a great emperor but I could see playing any role in any film with an air of that Walken quirkiness.
He is Emperor of the Galaxy so yes.
Hit like for those who are rooting for this movie Edit: this is the most like I've ever got thanks
As my favorite novel of all-time, naturally, I will be 😎

Do you think they cgi she out of footage just to keep her a secret?

The sardaukar are using longswords now. Interesting.
it looks like they've given her a much bigger role than in the book i'm here for it
This is going to be so epic. ❤
Watch her be in the movie for 2 seconds.
@@Renegado140Actually, no! Princess Irulan’s role has apparently been really beefed up for the movie, which is wonderful.
@@peterproductions5015 Good! I was mostly joking cause they advertised Zendaya a lot in Part 1 but people were disappointed that she wasn't in the film as much as they thought.
Florence worked with Timothee in Little Women. In their first scene together, Florence jumped right out of a moving carriage and ran straight towards Timothee, calling out his characters name and hugging him like a bear. I wonder if that's how she reacted to seeing her on set for the first time in this movie.😄😄
I’m so hyped for this film! Florence Pugh is gonna be incredible as Princess Irulan Corrino!
Her real chance to shine will be in the Dune Messiah adaptation.
@@eamonndeane587 very true. did hear it be like how Chani was in Dune 1 for Princess Irulan will be minor as well in Dune Part 2 to make it more bigger role in Dune Messiah.
I was excited when I heard Villeneuve would produce Dune. With Dune 1, he did not disappoint. So I’m super hyped for Dune 2, and can’t wait to see it towering on the big screen.
Oh my God, I can't wait anymore - it's becoming painful not being able to see the movie. Give us the film already - the anticipation is starting to hurt.
DAMN FLORENCE YOU GO GIRL
I saw part one on hbo max because it was covid days. Seeing this in the theater will be awesome!
Really looking forward to this! Denis is an amazing director!

Irulan's chainmail costume is so epic!
Got my ticket for Feb 29th. 3pm!!
Love This movie 🎉❤❤
Dune 1965 by Frank Herbert
The Fremen see her as the Earth Figure, a demi-goddess whose special charge is to protect the tribes through her powers of violence. She is Reverend Mother to their Reverend Mothers. To pilgrims who seek her out with demands that she restore virility or make the barren fruitful, she is a form of antimentat. She feeds on that proof that the "analytic" has limits. She represents ultimate tension. She is the virgin-harlot--witty, vulgar, cruel, as destructive in her whims as a coriolus storm. --St. Alia of the Knife as taken from the Irulan Report
The runtime for Part Two makes me wonder if Irulan's role will be expanded upon, akin to what the Syfi TV miniseries did. 🤔
Yes, Denis has confirmed that Irulan’s role will be expanded upon and fleshed out significantly.
tickets sadly not on sale in germany yet :/
you can see the baron dead on the ground at 0:26 lol
He's not dead, he's searching for his ring.
The hype is real!
at the end of the dune 2 book Irulan admits she was in love with Paul all along.
I don't mind christopher Walken as the emperor, his accent was more subtle than usual and he looks a little sinister.
Oh I can’t wait for the Feyd Rautha promo
I can't wait for the emperor to utter the immortal lines: "Walk without rhythm and it won't attract the worm If you walk without rhythm, you never learn, yeah" Then he busts out the dance moves.
Been a long time since I was this excited for a movie
I hate it... I mean seeing the trailers and teasers. I don't want to see them but I also do, but if I see too many it'll spoil what's coming or I'll see something I don't like. I am too hyped for this movie and now I see Florence Pugh is in this... omg I cannot wait.!

Looks like there’s gonna be a lot of actors in here too that are recognizable, and you know what? That’s just gonna make me watch it more.
Oh gosh, Timmy. 🤣

Yes it is. That is the throne room where the Sardaukar make their last stand.
I like the part where Han and Chewie save Paul at the last second.
Im so glad me and the homies saw the first one in theaters
0:03 she's cute
Yeah like 6 mins of her is amazing
Right now i can tell she is so going to nail Princess Irulan and showing i am more than just royalty. Others in 1984 and mini series i remember watching didn't seem that way since it looked more like fashion commercial.
This film looks amazing! I can’t wait to see it! 😊

I'm guessing that's the Baron on the floor at 0:25
in a book he should love her they were so more interesting together
I want to see Alia
Holi done right
It’s going to make some money just from me.
She's my queen ❤️❤️
Given the end of the film, I would say that it has just taken a distant path compared to the novel, there Chani has just left whereas she does not do so in the novel, as if she had just disowned Paul for more that his choice to marry Irulan for form's sake. I think that the character of Florence will potentially undergo an equally distinct development compared to the novel, probably not much for the role but perhaps at best for the personality
Not what I imagine when I think "patrician beauty"

@@drogon2339 :D
hi
I’m confused. I don’t remember her having any lines in the book or any significance at all. Am I remembering incorrectly?
Mostly she spoke through many of the introductory excerpts at the beginning of each chapter, often presented as if from a memoir or biography after the fact of the events in the book. Her "In My Father's House" was commonly excerpted and is where we first really got to more directly understand her father the Emperor, albeit through her recollections. I would expect many of the scenes in the movie of her with her father would be taken from these excerpted recollections up until the Emperor appears in person on Arrakis.
@@hindentanicdisaster9874 Thank you for the reply. I am now rereading the book and noticed the excerpts being credited to her character. I didn't really pay that attention before.
Is there going to be a part three? Part one barely got 1/4 of the way through the book. (So unless pt2 is a four hour move / there is much plot chopping, there almost has to be.)
Part 3 will be Dune Messiah, i read Dune recently and part 1 cut off perfectly at the first half. The book rushes through the story after the time jump as well. If the book is 617 pages and Jamis dies around page 386, they will actually have less material to cover in part 2. They will probably be able to cover the latter half with 2h40m even if theyre giving Jessica, Chani, and Irulan extra scenes.
Part 1 got through over half the book. I don’t know what weird edition you’re reading.

I didn't read the book but I found the '80s one much more enjoyable than this re-adaptation I'm not a fan of anything CGI
You're not a fan of CGI but a man of the 80s adaptation, with Minecraft shields?
She is amazing for 1min and 30 seconds she is in the movie LOLZ
That zipper coif looks pretty elegant.
Are we sure its March 1st? ... just say'n
If Florence Pugh didn't play Princess Irulan Corrino, who would play her 1 Milly Alcock as Princess Irulan Corrino 2 Saoirse Ronan as Princess Irulan Corrino 3 Josephine Langford as Princess Irulan Corrino 4 Hunter Schafer as Princess Irulan Corrino 5 Emma Corrin as Princess Irulan Corrino
Yeah I'm a bit worried about her character and her changes, why are they so focused on advertising her trying to get people to like her before the films out? She's not a big character until the 2nd book! Its worrying what they might be doing with her in this film? Have they girl bossed her into a version of the character that was not in the book? Another forced mary sue incoming? Will she seem like more of an antagonist rather than the actual villians in the book and original film? I am worried they've taken creative liberties in order to appease some toxic agenda again.
You watch too much red pill commentary
She looks so silly on those costumes😂
Irulan is nothing more than a pawn caught up in imperial games in the book, she certainly doesn't know more than the Emperor on how to maintain power and strategy amongst the great houses, this is a break away from that unfortunately.
Can’t wait let’s go ❤😂🎉😢😮😅
Think they’re hyping her role to appeal to as wide a demographic as possible. Irulans role is fairly minuscule in the book.
She's already done more in the trailers than all of the first book.
I feel like she will only play a very Small roll in this film. Absolutely LOVED part One, but still managing expectations as overhyped kills release.
Irulan in the books is more of a "narator" of events and her role is not that significant in the events in the story. is she going to be huge in this adaptation? She is also train as a Bene Gesserit ( but she is not part of the sisterhood ) from her mother, and paul consider her "important" only because of her father..
She basically got the same deal as Zendaya did, her role being quite minor in the first movie but far more important in the follow up
Florence Pugh just give us her performance b2b first with Oppenheimer, now Dune 2 ❤❤❤
Are you joking me? She was done dirty in Oppenheimer! Thankfully Denis has good taste unlike Nolan.
I didn't like her in little women or her continued blog on why I am so great ...I was actually shocked at this decision 😢
@@nellestanton771 In the book Irulan is described as having a classic beauty and Florence embodies that and will show that. Either you have poor taste in women or you haven't read the book. Bye bye.
Trailer gives the impression Gurney will face off with Raban.
Maybe a short rematch where Gurney beats Raban and leaves him to the bloodthirsty Fremen afterwards
Paul's attention came at last to a tall blonde woman, green-eyed, a face of patrician beauty, classic in its hauteur, untouched by tears, completely undefeated. Without being told it, Paul knew her - Princess Royal, Bene Gesserit-trained, a face that time vision had shown him in many aspects: Irulan.
Give me this movie.
florence pugh in oppenheimer touched me like no one has ever touched me
Florence Pugh is once again soulless, which ironically happens to be a good fit for the themes of this film.
Nice❤

How could Warner Brothers do so well with making Dune but be doing so badly with the DC films? James Gunns DCU is already DOA.
