  • Simple adjustment for the catcher, first ditch the leg out stuff and just lock your heels down, toes pointed down the lines. Second when you relax your target show the back of your glove to the 3rd baseman, this brings your elbow in, looks better, but more importantly you won’t brake your thumb. If you can’t do that, just do what Varitek did, go look up his target.

  • This is a great video. All tread videos should be required to be at least 50% pitching. Even if you want to discuss a topic you should overlay relevant pitching over it to illustrate the points being made. MOAR PICH!! But damn this shows the difference between a AAA pitcher and an MLB pitcher. Throwing strikes is hard.

    • When I played "serious" under 18 ball i caught for a kid named matt jakobov. He had at 17 an 89 mph sinker that he threw for strikes and nobody save a few could hit. It was like an inverse of his cutter very hard to catch even when I knew it was coming.

    • Yes, a sinker, changeup, and 2 seamer can run left to right for a right hander, and switch for a left hander. The most dominant is probably Devin Williams changeup. Some people call it a screwball it's so filthy

    • Buddy cut the catcher some slack, 1 he's probably still in HS who's never seen this much movement before, 2 this is probably his 1st time ever catching this pitcher so it's difficult, 3...sinkers 90+ are very difficult to catch
