Сірий Сорокопуд , такий собі "пташиний Медоїд " . Незважаючи на свій невеликий розмір, харчується він тими ж тваринками та комахами , що й набагато більший від нього Боривітер, та й локація для полювання в них, як правило, одна. За час спостереження , суперечок між цими двома птахами не спостерігав. Знято : Київ , Бортничі , луг. осінь-весна 2023-2024
The Northern Shrike, a "bird honey badger".
Despite its small size, it feeds on the same small animals and insects as the much larger Kestrel, and they usually hunt in the same location. During the observation period, no conflicts between these two birds were observed.

Two years ago I have seen a kestrel chasing a great grey shrike. It was in winter, and the great grey shrike was a guest. The shrike stayed all winter, and I had the pleasure of walking past this beautiful bird several times. The kestrel had to tolerate the new bird in the territory. Only red-backed shrikes breed here (more shrike species were breeding here long time ago).
