Just know that you should be pissed off AT YOURSELF...and that Judge Simpson tolerates no BS from jackasses. Case 3: "It's your life." Judge Simpson has seen this so many times before and he's still trying to help each defendant who just doesn't understand that he/she is no lawyer and the legal system is complicated. At least this guy listened to the greatest advice the judge can legally offer.

  • I absolutely love how Judge Simpson handled the second defendant. He swore at the court and behaved terribly, judge Simpson immediately found him in contempt and gave him 30 days. But we also heard judge Simpson say “we may bring him back later.” That suggests he’s going to give the defendant an opportunity to cure his contempt, which is proper and will ultimately save resources if he’s able to improve his behavior. • Mr. Overwater has some serious charges against him. I know that people think this is funny but one of the problems is that the police officer that arrested him may have added a few charges so the district attorney/prosecutor can dismiss some of the charges to get a plea bargain. Those who think this doesn't happen it happens all the time. Sometimes you get extra charges because the cop didn't like what you said to him or her. That exact thing happened to me on a rural road one morning around 6 AM at what I was told was the site of an abandoned car. I was trying to negotiate around these Pennsylvania state troopers who were fooling around instead of watching for cars that were approaching. I mentioned it to them and I ended up in handcuffs and them going in my pockets and a fourth amendment violation the threat of arrest about 10 times. They finally came to their senses and let me go on my way but they sent me a citation in the mail for disorderly conduct and fighting with first responders which is a trick of the Pennsylvania state police because they don't have body cameras. As soon as I received that citation I requested a magistrate hearing and to make a long story short I handled it pro se, amazingly the in car video they said they haddisappeared at the hearing. The magistrate explained to them that this was a first amendment protected activity even though they didn't like what I said to them. I understand that many of these people are drunks and drug users and troublemakers but I had never had this kind of problem with any law-enforcement my entire at the time 78 years. And just a wonderful thing happened just last September, the trooper that sent me the citation was arrested for domestic violence and he is on unpaid leave and being held for trial. This is not a revelation to me because he was easily triggered and a thug type person. They picked the wrong person. More than likely the magistrate warn them before the hearing that they were going to end up in the court of common please eventually so magically they decided to not pursue the charges with me that day. if anyone doubts this trooper exists go to any search engine and type in the following "Derry Pennsylvania state trooper arrested for domestic violence".

  • Why couldn't Rump get a judge like this one? One defendant smarts off and he gets 30 days in jail. Rump threatened judges, prosecutors and witnesses and all he gets is a monetary fine. There certainly are 2 justice systems-rich and poor.

  • First guy did just want someone to stroke his ego and tell him everything was going to be alright. Too many of these defendants think that, if their lawyer isn't getting them completely off, then they aren't trying their hardest.

  • Nice selection of defendants illustrating the different stances that confront Judge Simpson. He is brilliant. I struggled to hear the proceedings clearly for much of this video. I know the sound recording in this courtroom is pants but I would be grateful for anything you could do to enhance or tweak the audio. Love you Wolfie 💝

  • Being uneducated must be so frustrating. Watching these people struggle to express themselves without success is pathetic.

  • I don't understand these people who want to represent themselves. When lawyers are even district attorneys are under arrest and have to appear in court they hire a lawyer. As far as the guy with wanting a new lawyer they need to explain to them like they do in Texas. You can either keep this lawyer or higher your own attorney. When you're getting something for free you don't get to pick and choose what they give you. Now there are some very bad public defender out there and most of the judges know who they are. I have seen in some cases where they don't even have to argue the point of wanting a new attorney. The judge will make the decision and ask the public defenders to assign a new attorney to the case.

    • Some people seem to think a PD is always some incompetent second-rate attorney, without considering that he or she wouldn't have a license for more than about a week. Professional malpractice and ethical misconduct rules still apply to attorneys in the PD's office.

  • Here’s an idea fella. Straighten up and fly right and quit breaking the law AND you won’t need an Attorney.
