Although you have done an amazing job, I believe it would be easier to make a conventional stick welder into a spot welder by making the arms and copper points. By the way, I can purchase a commercially built spot welder for $450 and I would be guaranteed safety. So is it worth the effort?

Such calm, soothing music for something so wildly deadly to attempt. Never open up a broken microwave kids. Totally not worth.
If you do everything correctly it shouldn't be that dangerous
That spot welder… super-professional work, from design to engineering. Top quality. Didn’t stop at just functional. Painted parts. Easily commercial level product. Well done! Also, that trick of shaping the electrodes on the drill press. Gold! I didn’t realize I had a vertical lathe at home. 🙏
Astonishly clever idea!
His work clearly is second to none God continue to bless him and his family.Bottom line God bless all who call on the name of the Lord God Almighty
The tricks stretch to infinity on youtube. We should be beyond "ignition" by now, don't know what's holding it up.
Because for decades you were saying the words "" I don't think " and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy You failed to realize that to arrive at a conclusion - Thinking is required.
Most dangerous is watching shrinking the tubes without hot airgun. Thank you!
If anyones wondering, that tank he cut and welded the square onto was a pressure tank found in rural homes with a well. It maintains the pressure of your water supply without running your pump constantly. It has a rubber bladder filled with air that compresses against the water pressure.
Thanks, was wondering what that was used for.
Yes. I have a stainless steel one that I'm using as a boiler for my still. :)
Rural you say. What if you in down town but your house is on top of the highest point in downtown and the water pressure isn't enough to "push" the water up your hill? And yes this does happen. Either way a booster pump would be installed to aid in getting you water from the bottom of the hill to the top and a bladder tank, which is what they are called, is used in this application as a reservoir same as with a well pump. Also small bladder tanks are installed over water heaters for the sake of thermal expansion but we won't get into that
@@derrickfeltner6634 I think the important thing was it was not a gas tank, with all the "interesting" safety concerns that cutting into one can raise. A small steel barrel would also do as it is just the holder for the fire clay.
@@CrusaderSports250 bro pressure vessels are so much more dangerous than flammable liquids it's ridiculous
I generally find a Phillips head much more useful than a sledgehammer 😮
Fresh take on all projects! Well done! A+ production value. Thanks!
I came across one of your videos today and got hooked on it. I had a day off from work and for the majority of the day I just watched your videos. You are quite talented, skillful, creative and outright genius.
That´s a total intelligent way to build something from old things: First crush it with a sledge hammer. This will help to salvage running parts, especial electronics....

Your videos are amazing. You need to continue this excellent work for other topics. In engineering, we used to always put a note... "All work to be performed in a workmanlike manner" ... You really define what a workmanlike manner Is in your videos.
Adding a list of components for each build would add value to this video.
Don't count on it. Those channels are purely clickbaits. They get enough views and subs without any details, so why bother?
Beats tv...
Doesn't even need a list, just put it in the subtitles and bring us all along like Mr. Chickadee or Primitive Technologies

Never crimp copper cables to end connector with a pair of pliers, use the proper tool or just solder it in place, then add the shrink wrap. On plastic bumpers, you melt the wire into the plastic on the inside that way it will not be seen from the outside, then sand and bondo the exterior for a cleaner finish.
Some truly beautiful craftmanship Sir. So nice to watch...
💥🔧💡 "That spot welder... a true masterpiece of professional craftsmanship. Impressive design, impeccable engineering. It surpasses mere functionality and even features beautifully painted parts. This could easily compete on a commercial level. Well done!" 💥💡🛠 "Also, the ingenious trick of shaping the electrodes on the drill press. Pure gold! Who would have thought that a simple tool like a drill press could double as a vertical lathe? Mind blown! 🙏"
The smelter was awesome, but loved them all.
Woah, that thinf at 20:00 is genius!
I like the magnetic table, that is cool
I like your style your inventions remind me of things I would make but less rugged I usually don't make my inventions look that nice I just build them to work but the time and effort you put in definitely pays off in the end
Superb content, love the music too!
Perfect 👍👍👍 tools, materials people ,skill. Respected from Việt Nam 🇻🇳
That guitar solo piece was reason enough to watch this. The spot welder may be the cake, but for me, the music is the icing🎉.
“DIY builds” Proceeds to use tens of thousands of dollars worth of professional equipment and electrical fittings
That's awesome. If you make one with wheels, you can weld together like fence or something continuously
Strong magnets inside. It’s worthwhile to salvage them.
You could easily die though... might be more worth while to buy a strong magnet or vise
This guy is well skilled , I don’t know what his profession is but he does top notch work , most can only dream to be this good..
Though I am a skilled craftsman, I'm still blown away by his skills
Just brilliant. I especially like the first one.
“Yeah, honey, I’ll get you another microwave. But wait til you see what I made!”
Nice spot welder only thing i would do is place a strain relief insulated cord clamp where it enters the metal enclosure also make sure all metal parts are earthed transformer, metal case bonded to the green and yellow PE wire through the plug to power supply
I like the electromagnetic holder 😊 Made so awesome
Less trash in the dump. More gadgets for us. Thats a win-win.
Totally cool!!! You're a natural at these projects.
I put myself on a pedestal by saying stuff like"this is the most dangerous sidewalk anyone has ever walked on"then walk on . The power i feel is amazing.
TREMENDO TRABAJO. FELICITACIONES.

great work, great ideas. 👍👍👍
Hi good job craftguy.. If you put rollers on those spotting tips... Your on a roll... Thanks...
I would never recommend letting anyone with little knowledge of electronics try any of this on their own. I worked my entire electronics career as a technician, first in the Air Force, then commercially. In the military on Radar, with up to 1500 volts at enough to let you know you don't want to touch it. Outside, up to 80,000 volts in X-ray equipment, I called those voltages, "Crispy Beacon" voltages, 80Kv at 5 to 8 amps, if you mistreat it, you fry.
That's right, but everything we do is kinda dangerous...
Well and the fire hazard and insurrance issues… If homemade Electric stuff cause fire, there are no one Else to blame.. Than you. Even if you actually did a good job and everything is at great standard🤷🏼♂️
But... High voltage coil was removed 🤔 Just remember to discharge hv capacitor before touch anything in microwave.
The spot welder is relatively safe if the capacitor is discharged first but people with little knowledge should stay away
@@k9officerft434 Agreed. I've been hit enough times that I'm very cautious about high voltage. It seems that safety feature to keep you from getting tagged, it's the one thing that dies first. That leaves high voltage tanks in X-ray equipment live. Being over cautious kept me alive.
Great job!
Worth 4 to 500 bucks great job in a work shop one can make magic
Excelente. Excelente e excelente
Always wanted bits of broken razor blades in my food.
Of you're afraid of blade bits ending up in your food you may need to watch a video on proper knife use..
@@1islam1 That would make it Judaism, would it not?
??? Besides, they're utility knife blades and considerable thicker than razor blades and unlikely to break or chip on food or cutting boards.

Those who are not capable of anything productive they JUST COMMENT
Perfect! I'm totally impressed just how impeccably technologically sound your work is. It's just stunning, what you do. Bravo! And you have a nice music taste.
Totally Handy saludos..!!
This guy would really like to have ANYTHING other than a microwave 😂
That first one was sick I can't wait to see the rest!
Microwave slayer.
A true renaissance man.
Love the spot welder!
Muito show!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ottimo lavoro complimenti 👍👌
I don't think those pliers made much of a crimp in those lugs .
K, so I've made the spot welder. It actually does work. I thought the video was all microwave builds, and I expected the arc welder too. I'm definitely gonna try the pressure tank smelter! 😁. I L😍VE diy builds.
I must have looked away for a second... Would you mind explaining the power supply required for this spot welder? Thanks & Aloha! Zack
@@zackscoolvids I've been using a standard 110V plug from my garage outlet, which is on a 40 watt breaker, haven't tripped the breaker yet. Keep in mind I'm not welding anything thicker than about 1/8" thick, but it does well. Aloha!
Loved the spot welder.
Whoa amazing build skills, what a pleasure to watch your abilities. Thank you 😊
Insane amount of skills
I made a pyrograph with this one transf. And work very well
Really nice! Thanks 👍
Very clever 👏
1st one love the spot welder have to have a go at making one. Jeweler by trade should be able to do ! Thank you top stuff !
be extremely careful handling the PSU. they can hold a charge for years.
@@TheHighborn I have fiddled with fridges the gas ,micro wave also .TV ! They all have reserve power and can be fatal if you short out or touch 2 places at once or touch wires . I Found out threw me across the room ! BE CAREFULL ! 👍👍👍👍

As an fyi, the plates in transformers make excellent throwing stars as I discovered around 1978 as an 8 year old kid.

Only STOP spreading PVA glue with fingers. Use an old credit card or some similar card. MEASURE and mark holes for drilling - ensure correct accurate spacing DO not guess or estimate - that is very unprofessional Znasz
Cara detalhista. Ficou bom!
Very cool, but that might be the worst cable crimp in the history or crimps.
Guy you are so amazing
Respect 👏
Woow, amazing ! Professional Work
Simplesmente 💯 sacional valeuuuuuuuu
Amazing creativity and knowledge of how things work.
Bravo ! Merci !
I know almost nothing about the technology, but I know good handiwork when I see it. Muy congratulamente!
🛠🔩🎨 Wow, the spot welder is a true masterpiece! The level of professionalism, from design to engineering, is top-notch. Not only is it functional, but the painted parts take it to a whole new level of commercial-grade quality. And that trick of shaping the electrodes on the drill press? Pure gold! Who knew a vertical lathe was hiding in our own homes? Incredible work! 👏🔥👍
Lol you literally re-worded exactly what @fedora_trading had already said.... 🤣
Muy bueno 👍👍👍💯
Bravo 😍👌👍🌹

that's some cool creations!!
6:40 you forgot to ground out the metal housing buddy.... lmao
And the power cable directly through the sheet metal. 🚑 No crimp on the terminals.....
Nice work 👍
I like the way the base is non conductive wood great idea there for safety etc.
Although it isn't a conductor, remember it isn't an insulator either. I built this spot welder last week. I used wood, but I wrapped it with steel and aluminum so no wood is exposed to the heat. The wood is okay, as long as you provide for adjusting the position of the electrodes. Steel, when mounted to wood, always stresses the wood and moves around a little.
Microwave oven transformers are not “extremely dangerous” if you remove the original, high-voltage secondary and replace it with a low-voltage, high-current one (like in these projects). Otherwise, yes, they are probably responsible for more deaths than any other DIY project; the voltage one makes is comparable to that in an electric chair! The real danger is in disassembling the microwave; they contain capacitors that can store a lethal charge, even when the microwave has been disconnected from power!
Thank God for the 2X speed
Amazing ❤️
Super!!!!!
