QUEENSLAND ROAD TRIP - Towing a Jayco camper van from Cairns to Airlie Beach.
Located in FarNorth Queensland, Cairns is considered the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef. It is also known for it's tropical rainforests & waterfalls.
This trip I've teamed up with Camplify to hire a Jayco Camper trailer for a 10 day trip Down the East Coast of Australia from Cairns all the way back down to Brisbane for this 3 part adventure series. Part 1 I'm joined by my friend Maddi ( @she.who.explores ) we picked up the Camper from Brisbane and drove for 2 days to kick start our adventure in Cairns and the surrounding Atherton Tablelands, Paronella park, Mission beach and finishing off at Airlie beach. With a few sneaky hidden gems along the way you'll have to watch the vlog to find out where they are.

Australia is so awesome to me. It's only from your great video adventures that I realized how amazing Queensland really is! The beaches!!! Thanks and appreciation from Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. Rock onn!
Thanks so much for watching. You will definitely have to make a trip down under to visit QLD🤠✨
Another cracking video as usual. Living life to its fullest, good on ya 👍🏼
Trying my best! Thanks for watching 😊
Gday Tiffany and Maddy, I really enjoy these videos showing Australia’s backyard, we really do live in a beautiful part of the world, the JPod looks like a brilliant setup, I’m keen to see part 2 of your adventure now, take care, cheers
The jpod was a great experience! We can’t wait to share part 2 of our trip! Thanks for watching
Awesome video as always. I just came back doing a 10 day road trip all the way up to Cooktown. Love the coastal beaches and rainforest waterfalls. Gotta love the far North Queensland 🌳🏝
Yes I’ve definitely fallen in love with FNQ 😍✨
Awesome footage Tiff!! Love the rego too. Bring on part 2!! :D
Rad little mod hey! Setting the tone for the rest of the car. Part 2 was the best day!!
Awesome video. The landcuriser looks great with the camper in tow. Watching from Newfoundland, Canada.
Loving the FJ 😍
Awesome trip Tiff and Maddy. I recently did a trip from Mission beach upto as far as the Jardine river barge. So many epic beaches, waterfalls , hiking trails and attractions to see and do. Not even including the Great Barrier Reef and islands ( Fitzroy and green)👌
Wow what an amazing trip! We couldn’t believe how much there was to do up there. Will definitely be going back!
Can't beat a great road trip! 👌🏼
Agreed!
Awesome vids. True sweetie! But kinda a badass too. Great shots! Thanks for the tours
Hahah love that description 😂 thanks for watching
This is amazing the views and beaches
Stunning locations m 😍
Another great video. I did a similar trip; 1770, Airlie, Cairns, Cape Tribulation, 3 years ago and loved it, although I'm still convinced that cassowaries are a trick the locals play on visitors, a la drop bears! I seemed to have "just missed" them at every turn, despite actively looking for them. Would have been more welcome than the saltie we ran into! Look forward to following more of your adventures.
Hahaha I thought that too but this trip I saw one in the wild and I was stoked!! Thanks for watching 😊
We just got back from there, love it up there, very chilled. 🍻👍
Seriously considering a more up there. So much to do!!
@@TiffanyLawrence Yep so much to do. You could find waterfalls all day every day for months turn into Tarzan and Jane eat bananas for ever. Bit to much.. 👍🍻
Great video! Will have to add this to my QLD Adventure list now!
You sure will 😊
Been loving your videos for a bit now but loved this one just a little bit more lol. Was up that way last year and did most of the places you visited and it was great to see them again. Keep up the great work, the channel is awesome, no rubbish just great content. Voice vs music level was a bit off in this one but wont stop me watching.
Thanks for your continued support 💞 really appreciate it 😊
well come to naturality australia. good happy
Sure is
Great video, thanks !
Thanks for watching 😊
Airlie is awesome , have 2 of my brothers living up there now 🤙
Seriously is!! I’m planning to go back already!
Another great video. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again “love the FJ”
I love it too 😍😂
You both awesome, would love to do this 🔥✔️💯
Thanks for watching 😊
Awesome video! Just some feedback your music is quite loud but you are really hard to hear. Always enjoy watching your content!!
Thanks I’ll take that onboard for next time 😊
@@TiffanyLawrence I was going to suggest the same thing. Maybe a RODE mic is in order?? :) But otherwise, great viewing, great part of Oz!
Hope you hit a mil. You will!
That would be amazing 🤩
Interesting that Paronella Park claims #2 in hydro electricity, Thargominda was actually third in the world after London and Paris, proving we were up with the best.
Crazy part of history hey!! And here we are by passing it on a road trip.
FNQ is the best ! 👌
Love it! Can’t wait to go back.
Hey Tiffany love your videos travelling around Queensland with your friend. Can I make a suggestion please. On some of your video I can hardly hear you speaking and I’ve to turn my tv up to 50. So is there any chance you could either speak closer to the mike or get a mike that fits to your clothes. Hope you don’t mind me saying this. Keep up with the awesome videos your bringing back memories when me and the wife did a 2month travel of Australia back end of 2016-17 Regards Ian 👍🤗🥰
Thanks. That’s been the feedback a bit from this video. Will take it on board for future edits 😊
Early!!!!
Queensland time 😊
@@TiffanyLawrence yasss
Top Ep mate :) what sort is that car?? Is it a 4x4
Thanks. It’s my Toyota FJ Cruiser 😊 I shared a reveal video of it on my channel in December if you want some more info on the set up.
@@TiffanyLawrence nice. I live in indo and never seen one. Suppose they dont sell them here :)
@@SouthernCrossGO they don't make them anymore. It is a shortened Prado chassis and Prado petrol engine/ gear box etc
Was it easy/possible to close the jpod back door when you were in it to sleep? Maybe silly question but I've only seen other jpod videos with a back tent/anex so didnt need to close. Thank you :)
Hey Karl, Great question. Closing the pod from inside was a little difficult and awkward as the door is very wide.
@TiffanyLawrence thank you. I checked one out a Jayco last weekend. Cool little camper :)
The park is amazing how far is it from cairns
What park are you referring to?
Joli
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Desmond here from auckland new Zealand are you ladies heading to the rain forest i am going there in May or June 2023
Do you mean the Daintree rainforest? I went there last year and have another vlog about it. Check out my cairns playlist videos on my channel 😊
@@TiffanyLawrence yes I do
Cairns to Airlie? Hardly exploring ladies but you have yourselves on yoochoob anyhow.
Thanks for watching 😊
this is so great ! your audio is just a bit too low ! still watching !
oh yeah I like your licence plate ! very clever !
not that I would know but I'd imagine if Instagram had videos this would be number 1 for exploring haha nice incredible shots !
nice small camper setup ! very good !
absolutely fantastic video ! loved watching it ! well done ! such incredible views !
Thank you. Seems I’ve had a stuff up with audio on this video. My laptop speaker broke so I was editing audio through my headphones maybe they’re a bit louder than normal speakers.
Any idea of the fuel economy while towing?
In part 3 of this trip i run through at the end what the fuel economy was for the trip. kzhead.info/sun/dNWep8itppyKmp8/bejne.html
Is there cabins at the holiday park staying at how much a night
Yeah all the caravan parks we stayed at had cabins. I think they were roughly 150 a nice.
Did you have any issues with the Jayco?
No issues with the jayco itself really we had mozzies getting in somehow one night and We had one issue with the jockey wheel being to short but was an easy fix with some wood under it. 😊
Was the water warm
The waterfall water wasn’t warm but I’ve definitely swam in cooler. After a hike though it was so nice to jump in.
How far is mission beach from cairns
From the tablelands only about 45mins
Implants.
2023 :)
5:30 Really
Really really
How can anyone swim in all those clear freshwater creeks and pools but not once put a mask & snorkel on to see what's living under the water? You don't know how much you missed out on.
Not everything is filmed or put into the videos. We saw lots of amazing marine creatures 😊
Australia was once the lucky country ......not anymore , you know what I mean
I’d say I’m still pretty lucky living in australia with the freedom to do this and travel 🥰
