DIY Drill powered Go Kart

2018 ж. 20 Қаң.
10 398 279 Рет қаралды

Homemade drill powered electric gokart for kids.
Made from 21mm plywood, wheelbarrow wheels, some tubes, old bicycle parts. and old 9.6v screwdriver.
Basic tools are used.
p.s. Screwdriver is without automatic chuck lock, so it turns freely even without power.
p.p.s. Chainguard is reccomended.
Here are some dimensions (if building now, I would make it bigger): photos.app.goo.gl/d9Gsc2ZWH6t...

  • Very nice, great idea! Suggestions to make it even better, add a foot rest for the left foot so kid doesn't accidentally extend leg and scrape against left tire. Add another two lines so that each one can can change the direction of the drill for forward and reverse. Should be the same concept as the cable line assembly for the "gas" pedal just with less travel to change direction switch. Otherwise great build!

  • As a father to 3 - Great work for a small childs go kart and the type of thing I like to make myself. As an overgrown adult who watches to much KZhead- does anyone else think two drills (maybe 4 if your clever) and better gearing would make it more fun?! As a Father again - maybe two drills would add fun but also to much speed and danger for a young child. Side note - did anyone see those drill powered suitcases on The Grand Tour? They were proper quick and worth a look.

    @DirtyPoochRacing@DirtyPoochRacing4 жыл бұрын

  • Very inventive, now to get the battery to have as much energy and re-energize as fast as the youngster. To keep black marks off the floor look up ackermann steering principal. very good vid!
