  • Calling Velazquez vs Ngannou a mismatch is a complete rewrite of history. Velazquez was a 2-to-1 favorite going into the fight. At the time Ngannou was 1-2 in his last 3 and Velazquez’s wrestling was seen as a stylistic nightmare for Ngannou. Ngannou may have destroyed Cain and eventually became an unstoppable force in the division, but at the time that fight made perfect sense

  • Conor/Cowboy wasn't a mistake. It was a faster starter with poor cardio vs a slow starter. There really was only 2 ways that fight couldn't gone... Conor blasts through him in 1 round, or Cowboy weathers the storm and takes over in the late rounds.

  • Look at uncle Chael putting Jon Jones over after an a$$ whoopin for a guy that he can’t stand personally. A consummate professional till the lights are off and curtain drawn. Also it’s so crazy to think about how close Sonnen came to 3 world championships: weight miss by his opponent making it ineligible for the championship by the rules at the time, less than half a round away from convincingly beating prime Silva, and minutes away from a doctor TKO over prime Jon Jones by way of stopping those punches strategically with his face. • I wouldn't fully count the Conor/Cowboy fight as matchmaking mistake. Watching the embedded series you could tell that Cowboy had some type of leg injury when he was limping around everywhere. Cowboy was injured but wasn't going to pull out because he wasn't going to miss out on the paycheck that comes with fighting Conor on PPV. I think if Cowboy wasn't injured and just looking for a paycheck that the fight would've been much more competitive than it was.

    • donk, you make a good point. for those going through the comments, I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps: 1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost. 2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell). 3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins. 4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of your faith and self-righteous works). 5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈 6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to worship and to know God's will for your life.

  • So if Costa was 'gifted' the easy fight against Hendricks then who has he really beaten in the UFC? An old Johny Hendricks. Uriah Hall who was a giant mental case in the cage. Yoel Romero which was a war and a good win. An embarrassing loss to Izzy, an even more embarrassing loss to Vettori. Then Costa beats an old Luke Rockhold who was on his way out of the UFC. Costa has arguably only beaten 2 fighters in their prime(Hall, Romero) and that was 4-5 years ago but the guy is somehow still ranked #6? Not only that Costa is being discussed as a title contender if he beats another unranked fighter(Khamzat). The UFC is a joke.

Anybody that watched the fight will remember that Cain blew his knee out. Francis was extremely one dimensional back then, and he had no cardio. Cain has a great chin, unbelievable wrestling, he was a cardio machine (cardio Cain), and was much quicker. He definitely had a viable chance to win, not a mismatch by any stretch. Brock Lesnar is every bit as big as Francis, remember how that worked out, or did you skip that one as well?

  • Are you serious? how do you not put Justin VS Tony? it was one of the most brutal one-sided beatings i have seen for a very long time to the point i wanted to turn away the fact it was legend Tony made it that much harder. That beating was so bad that it was the main cause of his downfall when a fighter takes a beating like that hes never the same. You guys drop the ball big time not adding that fight to the list in my opinion.
