I am a simple man. I see Pakistani guys made an interesting video, I click. However, straightening the fins is ESSENTIAL and omitted in this video.
I agree. If there was no leak ,all he did was cosmetic. He has to straighten the fins to get proper cooling.
Eu também
You'd be well advised sir to open the smashed fins with a small flat bladed screwdriver so air can pass through again.
Concur. Cooling fins? I think you can make a tool easily enough out of some .007 sheet steel and a wooden handle.
They make a tool with teeth that does just that, opening the mashed fins.
@@ferstuck37 Right I usually us very small flat screw driver getting full airflow through the fins helps in cooling
Need to comb fins out. They are in bad shape.
@@mikespain8655 Yes Mike .
Thanks to the video and the insightful comments. Not that I would try this, but now appreciate fully that a radiator can be recycled even with a few pointed out faults
These Pakastani dudes are incredibly resourceful. They could probably get anything with an engine running again. I have no doubt they could repair foreign vehicles or even military vehicles like say a humvee from Afghanistan that was inherited from the retreating imperial troops. So much for them trying to disable those million dollar trucks!
Always smash the fins on the OTHER side also, so the engine overheats evenly.
AHAAA AHHHHAAAAA NO WAY...........Whooo hoooo

I'm watching you from here in the Philippines, new friend good job sir very nice 👍👍👍
Franchement un travail de pro. Bravo belle vidéo .😊😊😊😊
I’m guessing you’re going to address the cooling fins in another video, yes?
Nope total waste of time.
shit rebuild job
High chance of damaging the pipes to straighten the fins. If we ever had a radiator like that come into the shop I used to work in, the core would be replaced.
@@MCBatty80 in Pakistan, anything can be repaired.
Waste of time stripping and cleaning the internals when the cooling fins remain crushed flat offering zero air flow through the core.
darling....it's a RESTORATION OF RADIATOR...
Thanks for the video sir about Radiator and its working is good thanks for You giving me new experience thanks so much
These mexican dudes know how to rebuild the radiators. Great work.
Hard working people! Was waiting for them to address the cooling fins?
Awesome hard working people, I love the background sounds of traffic and people
step it up g
Brilliant to watch, thanks!!
Two handsome guys that got the best talent and a bright future. My best salute for you my friends.
Nice job, but in vain if you don't comb the fins.
Along time ago I repaired radiators for motor vehicle and the first thing would of done is pump water through the radiator to see how much of blocking there was and then put it in a tank of water then pump air into the radiator for leaks and after that just take one end of the rad tanks off and rod that end, it alot quicker that way then refit the tank and after that repair the rad fin's.
Man you do excellent work!!!!!!
I was here to mention all the smashed fins, I see it's been mentioned numerous times
Party!, me too but I guess enough has been said, not that it will do any good or encourage them to fix that problem as well...
What acid is it you used to clean the blocks and what was it ,was it a hacksaw blade to get rid of the blocks

Bare hands touching that hot metals after torching it damn...salute this guy...
What about all the cleaning Acid pouring down the drain striaght into the River?
I don't think they care about that....
they don't have any rivers nearby, maybe not even underground water
I love this hard work and keeps it up
All of the crumble fins still presents.
How can air flow with all those damaged fins?
No wonder there is no air conditioning there. Air cooled engines must be the only ones working with skills like that.
My dear you should keep one big water container for cleaning. Acid water should not throw in water line. You may keep one water pressure pump to clean radiator fins. In hot weather if you clean radiator fins with pressure water then also overheating problem can be solved.
Zabardast work
Coming to a town near you to work for $14 an hour and put a young highschool grad put of work. Hey but at least they didn't dump chemicals on the side walk!

team work at its best
Good work
Pakisztánban be van tíltva az asztal is? Hogy ezek mindent a földön gugolva csinálnak?
who makes the steel brushes?
I would like to know how much it cost to have a Radiator repair. Here in the usa we don't fix anything just replaced with a new one.
I’ve seen the fins straightened out in another video, a must do procedure to get the fullest airflow
Yes it can be done using a fin comb, takes a bit of time, but someone skilled can get them straightened almost like new.
Acid chemicals flush out on the ground overall good job
What about the cooling fins?! Half the air is still blocked
The radiator is still useless. Those fins aren't gonna straighten themselves. Never thought I would say this, but thank God for the Chinese!

I won´t ever understand why do they work on the bare floor, instead of working on a work bench.
i know. quite often they've got a perfectly good table right next to them but it's still not enough to tempt them away from scrabbling around on the floor
interesting watching how other countries repair radiators. we are spoiled with our lifts and benches to work on & test tanks.
Iraq..bGhdad...goodwork
What about air flowing part?
It's fun to find something differet out there. It's seem so many different with most of radiator material in my country, indonesia. Here in my country, most of upper tank is plastic material, which is unable to repair if damaged. Would you please let me know the metal material for both of upper tank and the radiator it self?
Not good work! They must clean the cooling fins and straighten out of it!! If the driver wondered, that the coolant was permanently overheated,it was not the radiator, the fins was damaged and thats the simply answer.
Good job
@The Mecanic, 10:50 what do you use for soldering? tin? aluminum?
lead
this is very normal in south east asia and east asia , we have specialize shop to do the radiator report . the report cost is much lower then buying a new 1 , and most of the time after repaired it will out live the original ha haha
What is the cleaning solution you are using
Good job.

They drink the water after they test the radiador dosnt leak?
He soldiered the upper and lower chamber the wrong way. If you look at the cooling fins being bent on the outside, now they are on the inside. If you pay attention you will see that upper incoming and lower outcoming, as is the drain are on less cooling damaged side. I wonder if this is done on purpose to get a bit marginally more airflow around the fins or it is just one of those "who cares" situation...the customer sees the better side.
yeah that rad core was definitely a scrap. 70% of the cooling area was collapsed and blogging air flow and they just cleaned those rad ends (caps) with acid, rising it straight into the ground...
turned it around to let a bit more air though
@@WCKD. it's a poor country. Way to expensive to find or buy brand new parts.
@@tribulation138 yeah. But Pakistan as a country isn't poor. They have 165 nuclear warheads. The people are.
Maybe now the airflow will tend to straighten all those crushed fins out! Ha. Not much here that a good chemical soak wouldn't have accomplished.
still can't pull air through the core. fins all bent. prob why it failed in the first place
Top job
DA GUSTO VER TRABAJAR A ESTA GENTE
I wonder what the brazing rod is, i want some of those rods, does anyone know the composition, im guessing its a flux core as well, never saw him use flux. And for those complaining about the acid and the bricks and no bench etc etc, just think about all the packaging and garbage you generate with your new parts, is amazing how this people just repair absolutely everything, out of necessity.
They are collecting all the solder at the beginning so I think they are melting that down and making rods to reuse. It also looks like they are using hydrochloric acid to clean the radiator and they are most likely dabbing that on before applying solder. Hydrochloric acid can be used as a flux. I've used zinc chhloride paste when soft soldering and when you apply heat, it decomposes to hydrochloric acid and water.
Reused (and when absolutely necessary added) lead. You can bet there is a shop further in the building or closeby which is making those solder rods. Might be alloyed with tin, but I kinda doubt it.
You don't really need flux if the parts are already tinned and clean.
It's lead in my country its call nekolite, plus moriatic acid to clean the copper
Trabajan muy bien saludo de chile chaho

Amazing craftsmanship, beautiful to watch, and unfortunately where the part is more expensive than the labor.
are you on drugs......they could have just poured descaler thru it. The was no need to dismantle it for what he did.
there's more to radiators than water flow, what about cooling? not too concerned about the cooling fins? you could have done that with a reverse flush
a reverse flush wont straiten the fins lol
@@johnsmith-ce2tq neither will removing the tanks and soldering them back on, may as well just painted them black and called the "reconditioned"
technicalities and perfection don't matter its 3rd world, what they done was what was required enough to get that vehicle back on the road. Yes fins were broken and yes they didn't pressure test, it doesn't matter when your going to fit them into banger vehicles built like a tank. They will repair the pin holes after testing they can live with fluid topup at end of the day.
