  • I think in future videos if you don't reach 100 dollars, you should give the remaining amount to the food vendor you liked best through the video. Would be fun and probably a big boost to their business if they were rewarded for making unique and amazing food!

    • @@f.r.y5031 Thanks, I think in countries where the food is so cheap, an extra 30/40 dollars would mean a lot to them.

      @Amm17ar@Amm17arАй бұрын
    • The problem with doing this in some countries where the tip could be easily 50+ dollars, you're just making that person a target for thieves and the like. You could genuinely put that person's health and business at risk with such tips, tips they're likely to reject because of the aforementioned issue.

      @tyrians@tyriansАй бұрын
    • @@tyrians These videos are filmed months or weeks in advance. It would be an issue if it was posted right away, but its not. The person would have already taken home the money and probably spent it or kept it safe in my opinion. Hes not giving them a million dollars. Its just 30/40 dollars. Your fear seems to come from a place of ignorance lol, these places aren't that unsafe and dangerous that someone who was given 30 extra dollars would become a target....

  • I've been here for 10 years. My second year here I wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving. I go to a very good western restaurant to order turkey potatoes apple pie. this is 2015. I spent $100 dollars for this meal. I asked my Cambodian GF why no one was happy and smiling. She explained to me that the $100 I spent would have fed 2 families for 2 months. She explained that I bought an over size chicken, cheap potatoes and gravy with an apple pie at a price to feed 2 "families" for 2 months.

And they get amazed by other cultural prospective thats basically less than normal for the entire non-Western world . And that illustrates the entire Interenet like this shallow idiot in the videoand his sleezy channel and a lot of others.

I live there for 6 months and it was a pain in the ass doing laundry(they hang dry and change clothes often). I spend over $150 on a buffet at Aon mall. They said, that money can use for a month. These are family members. My information came from a rich family member. He also taught me how to bargain. I was stunned. They usually charge us 3x for anything. He told my family not to live here because American people are too nice compare to them. My friend and in-law gave me the same advise. It's a beautiful country to visit and it's affordable.

      @sonievkay@sonievkayАй бұрын
    • @@sonievkay The bread is the exact same thing we all inherited from the Franch. About the meat yes we put all kinds of meat in the bread just like any sandwich. We even dip it in coffee or cacao drink. I think the difference is Vietnam is proud to represent it as Vietnamese food while Khmer doesn't see it as Khmer food although it is a part of our heritage and history. The bread Sonny eats in this video is stuff with cow sausage(not very common stuffing 20% ) but 80% of the time we stuff it with grilled beef ( sach ko ang )or beef/pork patte (sach patte). I see no difference between Banh mi and the Khmer Nompang dak sach because the concept of stuffing the bread with meat is literally that of bread stuff with meat. The garnishing like the pickle and papaya salad is also the same. The real difference is how we made this stuffing, garnish and pickles. Khmer don't mind when Vietnamese call Banh mi their food but some Vietnamese think that Khmer doesn't have Banh mi and it is a dish copy from Vietnam😂 They might as well think the French don't eat baguette in Cambodia during the colonial of 90 years or something😂

      @wabalaka1565@wabalaka1565Ай бұрын
