Devil May Cry 5 OST - Silver Bullet Complete (Instrumental + Extended Vocals)
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:
WOW! OVER 250K VIEWS! That's actually incredible! Again, I can't thank everyone enough for giving my version of Silver Bullet so much attention. Like I explained before, this started as just a personal edit for me since I didn't much like anyone else's on KZhead, and now it's gotten even bigger than before! At this point, I am beyond amazed with everyone, so as a gift, I made something amazing a lot of people might like.
In anticipation of the mind-blowing 250K views, I prepared something special for you all. I recorded gameplay footage of me fighting Vergil in Mission 20, not only on Son of Sparda difficulty, but also did it with NO DAMAGE while keeping the BGM of Silver Bullet perfectly in tune with the boss phases. It was a struggle to do, but a struggle well worth it for you all who checked out my work.
You can check out the 250K Views Special here ( • DMC 5: 250K views Spec... ) !
And you can also check out the previous 100K Views Special here ( • Devil May Cry 5: Vergi... ) !
Thank you all so much for viewing my work, and I hope you continue to enjoy it!

My personalised edit of "Silver Bullet", which includes the complete intro violin theme, the instrumental version of this song, and the vocals version. I extended the vocals section considering I have a feeling people liked it a lot more. But overall, this is just a full, complete track.
To be clear, I do not own this song nor seek monetization of any kind. I simply made an edited version to share with everyone in case they liked the full track.
- "Silver Bullet" belongs to Capcom and the amazing people who made Devil May Cry 5.
- Thumbnail belongs to RandomBlackGamer, who I accidentally forgot to credit the first time.

Whole game does it, the more badass you are the crazier your boss theme goes to match, scaling with the style meter. It's best of all with Vergil in the special edition where the bury the light chorus starts blaring after like the second combo.
I love how Monster Hunter World does the same thing with the Fatalis battle, the whole battle is playing the theme of Fatalis, as if you're fighting a god of destruction, but then, just as you reach the end, you have no revives left, you have less than ten minutes left, you're out of items, you hit Fatalis with the Dragonator, and the music suddenly begins to rise, before turning into Proof of a Hero, the theme of the Hunter. Suddenly, you feel like the tables have turned, and you're the god of destruction bringing Fatalis down.

Favourite underrated part is, at the end, Vergil insists he can still fight. As soon as Dante's out of earshot, he says he won't lose next time. Eating that humble pie and admitting defeat before his son, but never in front of his little brother.

Vergil: This has nothing to do with you. Stand down. Nero: This has nothing to do with me? *IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ME!* Vergil: *Nero....* This is probably my favourite dialogue out of the whole game, because when Vergil says 'Nero' you can hear a shudder or pain in his voice sort of like how he is disappointed in himself in that instant. Vergil always wanted to be loved or protected, but had to sacrifice everything to survive and chase power, especially when he realised he didn’t have a father and mother, and at the time a brother. By doing so he became the very thing he hated. It's sort of like Vergil realised, everything he did. He left his son in the same circumstance that he hated. Loneliness. Ofcourse he was probably ignorant to the existence of Nero. But I think he clearly regrets it. I also like how at the end, when Vergil loses to Nero he says 'I can still fight' Nero says the same in the beginning when Dante tells V to get Nero out cus it was a bad plan and calls him ‘Deadweight’. Showing that in a way, Vergil is proud of him.
Vergil even had to *ask* Dante just to make sure that Nero was actually his son. You could tell that Vergil’s head was still wrapped at the idea of him a having son that he didn’t know of and unknowingly abandoning said son to pursue power.
@@theunknownvoidz1409 beautiful comment
All perfect reason he pulled his punches when he fought Nero too, on top of being exhausted of course. It's like a Dad playing with his Son after a tired day from work lmao
Another detail with this scene/fight is that if you get hit by the grab/impale move Vergil can do as Dante, Vergil has a look of disdain/anger on his face. When he hits Nero with it, you'll see a flash of remorse and hesitance on his face. The M20 fight is not something Vergil wanted to do deep down, despite him trying to keep up his appearance with the whole "If I beat Nero, then I beat you Dante" line moments earlier. It's such a small detail that Capcom didn't need to include, but they did, and this game is LOADED with stuff like that. A game about wacky woohoo pizza man and his crazy family, doing kick flips on demons, has some of the deepest and most emotional familial character writing in the last 10 years. It's amazing honestly, and it's all packaged in an insanely fun and satisfying game to boot.
Yeah, but Vergil did rip off Nero's arm. And without Nero's help, V wouldn't have been reunited with Vergil....whom ripped off Nero's arm to cause this entire mess.
Pov: you steal your son's arm, but he steals your boss theme
Dante: "I used Rebellion to fuse my own power that defeated Mundus already to that of Sparda, giving me Sin Devil Trigger, a level of power never seen before!" Vergil: "I found the strength in humanity and ate the qliphoth fruit, giving me stregth that meets, if not exceeds Dante!" Nero: "Nah, I'd win."

Vergil: Takes Nero's arm, congratulates him for helping V fuse with Urizen and fights his brother who's Nero's only mentor figure and didn't even once aknowledge Nero as his son. Nero during mission 20 (Read during 4:45 for best immersion): *Easy mode is now selectable*
Dante wasn't that bad, he just has communication issues making Nero misunderstand. Nero's ego also wasn't destroyed, Devil Trigger's dark lyrics with the upbeat music show very well his troubled but always gets up after falling down character that can stay positive even after real bad losses and beatdowns. It was funny in retrospect how everyone was like "Nooo I know how you feel but you can't kill your father! You must leave it to Dante!", then Nero phone talk with Kyrie showed that Nero is not upset about being denied the fight or being looked down upon, the realization about the meaning of Dante's actions and the fact that he does have living blood related kin is the thing that hit him so hard and his sheer will to protect his family lets him push himself to access the demonic power even Vergil and Dante need Devil Arms to do themselves.
Pretty much, he unlocked his super mode early just to BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF Dante and Vergil

I can't believe how amazingly this mission sets up a future game. I really hope they explore Vergil and Neros relationship instead of making Vergil evil again because "he needs power".
I think DMC5 is finally the definitive turning point for Vergil's character. Vergil giving Nero 'V's' book and telling him to hold onto it until their rematch makes me pretty sure he has no intention of abandoning his son now that he knows he actually has one. It makes sense too since that exact loneliness and lack of a parental figure is what led to his life being so terrible in the first place. Overall he just seems way more introspective in 5 and the epilogue where he's working together with Dante makes me hopeful for him.

The song's transition is a reflection of how Nero smacking his father into senses from his self-pity driven pursue of power. Yes, grandma died. Yes, you were powerless. What could've you done? You were 8-10 years old. Isn't it time to man up, move on and start taking care of your living family instead of running away like a scared little kid? One thing Nero did overpowering Vergil is that he dares to face his problems. And he proved Vergil wrong for tossing away his human side, for considering they are weak. By defeating his father, despite him having only 1/4 of demon lineage vs his father's 1/2 demon lineage. Shattering his father's notion of demon stronger than human misconception once and for all.
💪🏻 BASED SSS ❗
i would like to know how strong nero's 1/4 lineage really is since vergil and dante are both stronger than sparda in dmc5
@@Thomaswalton9801 I have a theory that Demons need human blood as a source of they powers, that's why Mundus invaded the human world, to enslave humanity as their energy farm. Demons may be strong but they cannot replenish their own powers, they cannot self-sufficient, sorta like parasites from another world. That's why they consume other's powers when they kill one another, sort of like how Dante & Vergil gain devil arms when they killed the demons. The reason that Dante & Vergil are so special is because they're half-humans, which means their powers can be self-replenish, they are technically like the demon-equivalent of nuclear reactors so even though their demon powers are limited, their source of mana/power is technically unlimited. Therefore in that, Nero who has 3/4 of human blood may last longer in fight than them even though in raw demonic power he is no match for the twins. You can see the cutscene at the end of the fight where Dante & Vergil can easily knockback Nero with a backfist. So Nero probably didn't outright defeated his father, he probably outlasted his father in stamina because Vergil just had a fight with Dante.
@@KyranSparda Actully having more human blood means more power Dante himself said that nero is more powerfull than him Nero had more latent potential than both But vergil and dante have more experience and are fully developed Nero has just started awakening his power

A little update: I finally understand how to play the vocal during the fight! I was training against Vergil in Son of sparda difficult (i'm in the DMD run) and, when he created his doppelganger, I stunned him in my DT form and do the grab with the doppelganger alive. The animation was different and the vocal lyrics kicks in! SO GOOD. TL:DR how to hear the vocal during the fight: 1) Vergil and Nero must be in Devil Trigger Mode 2) Vergil doppelganger *must be alive* 3) You must stun Vergil and grab him with the Buster. 4) Enjoy.

I love the dubstep-y main part of Silver Bullet, but the violin genuinely makes me cry when viewed through Nero's eyes. "This piece of shit just stole my arm, containing a weapon of mass destruction I was trusted to keep safe. I have to take my revenge and get it back. "But said piece of shit is also my father, and he has had a literally lifelong grudge/rivalry against my mentor and uncle, who 1) thinks I'm not strong enough to stop Vergil on my own, and 2) doesn't want me killing the very little family I have left, so he's going to kill him himself. "With this new information, I realize that my only biological family is about to destroy itself over a sibling rivalry. I am the only one that has even a remote chance of keeping the twins from killing each other." So to facilitate all of this: This deadweight devilman, through sheer force of fucking will, regrows his arm, and unlocks his true, almost angelic-looking Devil Trigger, to confront his family and put an end to the decades of bad blood on equal footing. This is a near perfect Hero's Journey, and I love it with all my goddamn heart.
