That “nap zapper” thing is modeled after a real thing. I have a friend who used to drive trucks and buses for bands on tour in Australia, and with big-time clients there was a device that looked at his eyes and could detect if they were closed or not. If they closed for longer than something like 1.5 seconds, a device on his wrist would shock him.

@@gballs007 true that's a good point tho there are better ways if there's a services or something just pull into one of those to sleep instead of trying to keep yourself awake with this also what if it's batteries die if it runs on them also like Jeremy said on top gear it also works when going to the glove box and using the radio it's not the smartest idea it'll work to a point also once your really tired I'm not certain but I assume it'll stop having an affect and by then sleep would be your only option tho I imagine it's not for long periods when you literally need to sleep and can't go on further
@@aaroncable340 these are all your opinions... a lot of people who should pull over and sleep.. dont and fall asleep at the wheel causing hundreds of deaths a year... and yes it may go off if leaning to your glove box and such...or batteries will die one day(but its still better having it on then not for the 99% of other times where you otherwise wouldnt have anything anyway) , but those are all miniscule annoyances where the benefit greatly outweighs the inconvenience....and how do you know people will get used to the sound and still stay asleep..(especially not knowing how loud it really is and how high the pitch is).. looks like your just trying to find a reason why it's not that good, when in reality even if it saves 1 life (which it definitely will save many many more (and I say this because I personally know 2 people who use this kind of device (1 is a trucker, and the other a limo driver) and both of them say it works extremely well and immediately wakes you up (the truck driver started to nod one night and it worked like a charm). It may not be perfect, and I'm sure could be improved upon (just like most products)...but the roads are 1000% safer if people driving wore these at night then not.....

@13:40 yes TF cards are micro SD, TF stands for TransFlash which was the original name given to it from SanDisk back in 2004 when first introduced, the MicroSD standard came a year later, although Transflash is just storage, the SD standard allows for wifi/gps or other I/O (SDIO) devices over the same connector. This is also why some older SD card slots say MMC (MultiMediaCard) as they where the precursor to the SD Cards
That over-ear anti-sleep thing just reminds me of an old Top Gear episode when Clarkson found a similar device. Everyone was totally impressed with it...until Clarkson started demonstrating all the other things one does in a car that require looking down. "Adjusting the radio--" Beeeeep... "Checking a map--" Beeeeep...

These days, you have Google Maps or Waze right up on your dashboard monitor. Same thing with the radio. The only time it would be annoying (or potentially fall off) for me would be when I'm drinking some water.

The camera rear view mirror is AMAZING for the money. It lasted me a couple years and it was easy to lock and save videos of lightening and deer jumping my hood.

No flippin heckin way that cooler is worth $8. My gramps made an ice box fan with styrofoam, a knife, a lighter, and a desk fan. It worked well enough to cool a whole room a bit. That just a box in a box with a fan on it. Literally slap the water in a dark colored and/or thick Tupperware for near identical results.

So, there's a lot of similar vocabulary between those languages. If you learn to speak a bit more German, you can read Dutch okay, and understand it somewhat okay if it's spoken slowly.

TF stands for TransFlash. In 2004 the association that created the SD standard tried to come out with a replacement for SD cards that were smaller and called it TransFlash. Around a year or so later they changed the name to microSD and it's been called that since then. Companies that make cheap electronics for Wish, AliExpress, and Amazon love to still use that old name to show everyone they have been out of touch with electronics since 2005. Even moreso when you realize that the maximum capacity these devices will hold is a capacity so small you can't find it in brick and mortar stores anymore.

Kind of wish they did more thorough tests... That mini-fridge seems like it actually had a peltier cooler in it, which for the price would be an absolute steal. I've used something more expensive but probably similar to keep food cool for days during a days long road-trip.

Tech nerd here: TF Card is short for "tiny flash memory card", otherwise known as a Micro SD Card. The name comes from the fact that a micro SD card is a tiny, flash-based storage device (who would've guessed!?)
TF is basically the generic version, while micro SD is a brand name. It's used to avoid copyright problems.

The cooler needs cool air to work properly. I'm a truck driver and have used coolers like these. The cooler the outside ambient air, the colder the inside will be. Put it in front of an ac vent and the inside will freeze

Almost 2 decades ago I bought one of those peltier coolers at Walmart for keeping infant formula bottles cold on road trips. They work but only a little bit. They won’t get things very cold but will keep them cold if the peltier is large enough and if you start with prechilled items.

I got that exact review camera/dash camera. Surprisingly good and has sat in the car with temps excess of 35C and worked fine. Image quality is also good - once you view it on a computer (take the SD card out). Downfall is that it interferes with GPS and DAB+ radio signals. Don't buy of you use those services heavily.

It's not the Chinese name, it is the original name for micro SD before it was changed. The main difference is that micro SD spec has the ability to use SDIO to do things like bluetooth and GPS while TF were purely storage.

I drive through fog at night at lot. And I've never seen that product in person nor do I plan to. But if you're scared visibility at night a product that just shows a line on the ground during the day and a nice light up laser at night when there's fog. That sounds like the perfect product for some people
