Can you imagine how much more difficult it would have been for her to leave if he was the breadwinner? I feel terrible for all the women stuck in situations like this without a way out. Hindsight is always 20/20 and YES educating yourself and speaking to others who are not bias but those knowledgeable on personality disorders, abuse and everything that goes into that as well as coparenting with the abusive parent is crucial. You’ve helped a lot of people by making this video, as hard as it was to make.

I always gotten an abusive vibe from him. The way his body language was in some videos and the manner in which he would speak to her. Some people might say ... “oh well you don’t really know them they only show you small clips of their lives how can you possibly make that assumption as a viewer.” Isn’t it worse that fact that we can still see his abuse even in their videos even though they just show us what they want. Doesn’t that mean that even when he was putting on his “best face or best behavior” for the camera we could still see right through it. His behavior was so normal to him that he didn’t even notice he came off this way in their videos.

Shyla...I read the exact same book after my separation from my now ex-husband (with him for 16 years; married to him 14 of those) It was so cathartic and validating and articulated the words I lacked to help even my mother understand--yes, my mother--how bad it was. The book was a massive emotional roller coaster. I had to read the book with someone so I could just vent while reading it. Such a valuable piece for ANYONE trying to escape and survive or whom has escaped and is surviving. God bless you, Hun. You are stronger than you can imagine. Before the book, I was an absolute mess raising 3 daughters by myself. My prayers are with you and baby girl. I know the road is long; but, have faith and pray. You will make it through the mental stuff (which I felt was the worse part for me, especially to prove in there court system and to those whom have never gone through this). Anyway, you got this, beautiful lady! 🔥🔥🔥 For me, during my divorce process, I had some really hard times because he used my girls as his avenue of abuse. I felt like I couldn't cope with this anymore. But, here I am on the other side. My girls are 20, 22, and 24, now and all are doing fantastic. Again, YOU GOT THIS! Much love and prayers. I know you hear this a ton...but, I truly mean it---- I am here for you if you need a kindred spirit to vent out your emotions.

When she said “it’s not easy to get a restraining order or everyone would have one” that is 100% true. I was harrrassed for years by an ex boyfriend and they never granted me one because he never explicitly said he would hurt me. This has really resonated with me. She is telling the truth. You can see the evil in landons mother.
I remember a guy calling my home day and night when we had a house phone and he would always say the same thing until my sister finally spoke to this guy that was obsessed with her and when she hung up she was terrified because he had threatened our whole family and told her he knew where she worked. Well long story short we called the cops they came but said they couldn't do anything because he didn't physically hurt her and told us to screen the call and not answer anymore 😑 but basically said until there is physical evidence of a threat they couldn't do anything. And the woman office was very remorseful. She was saying I am sorry we can't do anything.
Our justice system is flawed,,, it doesn’t help protect people being abused,,, look at gabbie petitos case , its so obvious she is hurting and distraught over something that happened while he doesn’t seem to give a shit in the body cam video yet they both get to walk free after that
