Oh, "Gravity" is a company. I thought it was about literal gravity.

Well it kinda is, cuz if there's no gravity, they won't make this suit, so technically gravity makes this suit in a way
Gravity has just partnered up with a mountain rescue service in the UK, a 25 minute hike to get to an injured person can now be done in 90 seconds
If this was built around the legs, it would free up the arms to airlift people out of situations.
@@klamup Yeah, he should add an exoskeletal system for applications like rescue or military so that he can stop the legs flailing and increase his strength
@@animationspace8550 but that would add more weight means need more power and fuel.
@@klamup bro the suit can't produce enough thrust to airlift people out. Realistically, they can be used for personnel to reach the victim and provide immediate first aid or tie down ladders for other responders to reach quicker

Yes, capitalism and science are friends, when it's not just greedy, cheap, petty profit-hungry corporate idiots.
Yeah! There’s a rivalry between the French flyboard and this! This pushes science really fast!
And then zapata came with his flyboard....

I think the most practical application for this would probably be rapid deployment to the tops of buildings etc. Rig the entire suit for rapid ejection and then you can have a dozen soldiers get to the top of a building in seconds, eject and start breaching... That would probably be worth the cost, because you can go resecure the packs once you've taken the objective. You could even use them for rapid evacuation scenarios too.
How can we use this to cause pain is your question

DCMBR nothing like jet propulsion, this is the first successful venture to use jet propulsion as a form of lift. The “hover boards” you are on about only function due to the effects of electromagnetism which causes a repulsion off the surface of the ground and the board itself causing that hovering effect, turn off the current, the repulsion stops dropping the board :)

The Zapata overboard has a huge advantage over this thing: it leaves your hands free (which allows you to handle tools, weapons, etc.).
Have you thought about adding a support arm for each arm to remove stamina use attatched to the main pack base feels less like flying while doing push ups.
It always astonishes me how something that seems complex (the classic jetpack) can be made far better solving a simple balance issue. The classic jet pack shoots one line of thrust, a kin to standing on a pole. Two engine is likened to balancing on a horizontal bar. Obviously those are hard. Make it three though, and you have a tripod. Brilliant.
Hmm, I wonder if instead of using the hands, one can use a triple configuration pack frame instead.
@@jonathantan2469 How about two in the back of the torso and two in the front perfectly symmetrical.
Pair it up to an exoskeleton which you can enter/exit. And have one jet engine or many small ones all over the body controlling velocity, pitch, yaw and roll.
sadly jet engines dont scale well, this is probably about as small as possible without having almost no thrust and fuel efficiency
