  • Is it just me, or does anyone else get really sad that this time has passed. To the point that you want to somehow travel back to this time and never leave. Also, do you think previous generations feel this to?? Can't believe this was so long ago now....feels like just yesterday. ❤😢

The song was so hypnotic to little me. It’s crazy running into this today and hearing it for the first time in decades, now being able to understand what the song is about. Nostalgic and bittersweet feeling. Sweet good times growing up.

    • Errr....I have to respectfully disagree! However this is highly subjective and almost impossible to answer. The 1950s probably had the best quality of romantic ballads (Nat King Cole, Doris Day), and the 1980s had the power ballads (too many to mention!). The 1970s had the folk and pop ballads. The 1990s had a few ballads but mostly boring, over commercialised stuff like Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. I was a teen during the 1980s and it was the decade of a style genre explosion.

    • Ealy 90's, high school years, OK era! 1994-1995, college years, horrible era. 1996, starting to revisit, but 1997 to part of 2001, my army years, fun era, good music, good films, awesome pro wrestling!

    • not all over the world, in the same post-Soviet space where I came from there was a terrible crisis, crime, unemployment and poverty. but nevertheless, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, everything began to improve.
