  • No wonder he's nowadays considered the greatest footballer of all time! Technically, with the ball at his feet, no other player has ever reached such a supreme and divine level of continuous performance and unreal talent. The greatest genius in football history! Real and absolute GOAT!

However, Brazilian football was very strong at the time, superior to European football, and Pelé dominated São Paulo football, dominated the Taça Brasil (Brazil cup), and dominated America, making Santos BI consecutive champions of the Libertadores, then Santos stopped playing Libertadores because of money (he paid little), and he went on tours in Europe, beating the best European clubs by rout. Other than that: 3 World Cups. Sorry 😎🍷🗿

  • 4:40 To me, this play shows Messi in all his glory even tho he doesn't even score it and the goal was disallowed due to a tight off-side. And in what other than a match between Barcelona and Real Madrid. He grabs the ball close to the midfield. He gets 3 players on him. And manages to attract 2-3 more. Manages to escape the first 3 players with relative ease. The 4th one attempts to cross his leg but fails. A 5th one comes from the back, but he too fails and leaves a gap in the last line. At this point, the 6th one has to leave his mark to cover the 5th player's position. But it's too late, because with little else to do, a teammate just runs to the space behind a 7th player and Messi puts the ball right there where he wants it. His teammate doesn't even have to control and instead just finish with one touch. In the score of that match, it won't even show up. At best, you'll see in the highlights that here was a goal disallowed by off-side. But what Messi did in that play... Goal or no goal, you just cannot take that away. You gotta hate the game if you think there's no value. And the same thing goes for all other plays Messi(or even any player, why not) that don't necessarily end in a goal. Because that's the real beauty of football. There's so much more to it than merely scoring a goal.

  • One of the many reasons I believe Messi is the greatest ever period is because had simply focused on scoring his entire career like in 2012, he would have the most goals of all time with ease. Had he simply focused on creating and controlling the game from the midfield, he would have been considered the greatest midfielder ever. He thrives in anything attacking position.

    @richardmajor25@richardmajor253 ай бұрын
    • Yup exactly. And when Suarez came to Barcelona in 2014 he had to be RW or play behind that space to accommodate Suarez. He could have scored a lot more is he wanted to, if Barcelona had stayed a great team like 2009-2012, and if he had world class midfielders feeding him so he didn’t have to worry about creating

  • Not a lot of players reach the status of "Frightening". Messi is an absolute menace on the field, the way he can effortlessly pierce through the opponent's defense and be a threat makes him extremely scary. Ronaldo is another player I think is frightening, in another way tho, that's why we have the GOAT debate for so long, the way he becomes a threat just by having the ball touching him, via a pass, a cross or something else, he is so efficient it is scary, 2 absolutely insane players

    • @@Freman690 Ronaldo never had this kind of dribbling, the way he posed a threat to the opponents was exactly by being a striker, if he had the ball in a dangerous area he'd be an immediate threat to the goal, if somebody crossed and it was going Ronaldo's way it was also a threat because of his enormous jumping power, they are very different players, but both are great

  • Messi had had multiple primes. His “god peak” as I like to call it was 2010/2011, 2011/12, and 12/13. Let’s not forget that in 12/13 he was on pace to break every record he had set in 12 before the injury in April. This is the greatest prime of all time. 2015 and 2019 he was also in “god mode” and could debatably be put in then. Then, you have his “2nd prime” as I like to call it where he is still possibly the best player in history, which is 2009, 10, 14, 15, 19, and his last prime was 22 World Cup Messi

  • Many players did technically better than Messi (Pelé, Ronaldinho, Maradona) , but Messi has been the most consistent, the most effectively with accuracy, for that he's The 🐐 GOAT

  • Messi before 25 was beast, no player can reach at that level, after 25 he's like OK so those players are good so I have to be good too not the best, that's why after he's not using his full potential

  • I am sorry but when I compare to footage of Maradona it is far from unreal. Also what immeditely comes to mind to me is how kind defenders are these days. And after one charge in many cases here it is all over for Messi.With MAradona he gets kicked brutally but is superfast on his feet and continues. After seeing Maradona, Messi is still a joy to watch for sure. But Unreal not at all. The things I saw Maradona do in so many many different ways is really mindboggling. With Messi yes I can see what he is doing and there is never a question mark. But the best of this century he is. Seeing this one too..I feel underwhelmed. I see a very good dribler very fast and with a keen sense to find a space. But that is bsically it. It is the same everytime but he is so good at it they have difficulty to stop him. But I fail to see variation. There is very little of it.
