Need help zeroing your red dot or 'sighting' in your red dot. Check out this video where Ernest Langdon breaks it down for you to help you learn how to do this correctly!
Zeroing your red dot takes time and patience. Follow these steps and visuals for some assistance.
Start with creating the best sight picture possible before your first shot.
00:00 - 01:16 Shoot a 3-5 shot group
01:17 - 01:28 Move the center of your group
02:02 - 03:15 Moving the optic by 'clicks' to get it where you want to be
03:16 - 04:06 Reconfirm your zero on your next range trip
This is the best video on zero for red dot on KZhead
THANK YOU!
Thanx for the info,much appreciated!!!
I used a dry fire red dot bullet laser and adjusted that way when using my green dot by swamp Fox Justice. I aimed with the dot and used where the laser ended up . From there I adjusted the green dot until where I aimed with the green dot matched the red dot of the laser bullet.
Spot on Sir. The best, simplest and understanding instructions I've heard.
Thank you
First time I put a Dot on my pistol I found out that spreading out the zero process between a few range trips is almost necessary we're not robots.
Same. And don't forget, the dot and irons are two different sighting systems and sometimes won't line up.
Incredible tips brother 🤘Multiple range trips are a big part of it.
Thank you
Thanks for a simple explanation.
Just gotta get a red dot for my new slide first!
Thank you kindly I needed this
Try the easy fast 1shot method--- put red dot on center of target fire 1shot carefully clamp gun on target adjust red dot to be on hole you just made--- you are done--- yes I know it is not easy to clamp some guns but the process is too simple to be live try it also you may need a click to make it exact for your 3rd shot .
Awesome timing… just mounted a red dot
Great timing indeed I have a LTT slide in the mail as we speak for my Beretta
sick video, thanks for including it with the pistol.
You look like Dr. Allen Grant from Jurassicpark… good video 👍
Great advice! Thanks for the video.
Thank you
After you're satisfied with your zero, it's cheap insurance to take a fine tipped paint pen and mark the adjustment screws and the mounting screws.
I use a silver sharpie to do that, and on the mounting screws.
Thanks.
Thank you for sharing,I don’t know if this is correct but I use a laser bullet and adjust red dot to the point of impact on a target at 10 yards is seams to work very well, then a few slight adjustments at the range and it is right on the money
Sure, that should get you close.
Well explained 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
Valuable information ℹ️
Glad you think so!
This was really helpful thank you
Thank you
@@ernestlangdon3075 I have been following you since I started shooting did I really win something from you ?
@@thomaspuma434 No its a spam bot. It writes the same to everyone. It even writes the same message to the real Langdon Tactical.
@@thomaspuma434 It is a spam bot. Ignore it.
I think I can zero my red dot with a combination of iron sights without making a single shot. I just have to adjust the red dot, so it will "sunset" behind the front iron sight right at the center of the front iron sight and at the same time when the back and front iron sights are in perfect alignment. Correct?
Watch this video! It's short and will answer some of your questions ;)
They are independent sighting systems, and while they are close, they need to be zeroed separately.
Please don’t grow out your hair and be a hippie.
Don’t listen to this square Mr.Langdon
I already cut it. That was the longest it has been in almost 40 years ;-)
Came to the comment section to find something about his hair. Found it! 👍
