03:04 - A lot of yellows: You wouldn’t want to watch a lot of Spanish football based on that.

  • You could’ve stayed in Europe playing like that before tonight. Instead of leaving it to the last minute which was ultimately too late.

    • Why you think he hasn't achieved anything. He's a premier league reporter asking difficult questions, that's his job isn't it

    • @@ankitdixit6073 It's not a "difficult" question. It's a impertinent one. Especially coming from a reporter too lazy to ask any real questions regarding the actual football. And too stupid to get a real job.

    • No one disputes that. Some of us don't like his football and his management of players. He's done well, but he's had the resources other managers could only dream of. We've seen over this cup tie, he is limited as a coach and you can't compete over a long season with a small squad. Especially when the majority of them are over 30 years of age. There is a coach out there that can do even better than Moyes. I just don't trust Sullivan to hire them.

    • Why? He has spent over £500 million in 4 years and we have the smallest and oldest squad in the league! He has wasted money on players he never intended to use ( Scammacca, Ings)he has alienated and mismanaged players (Benrahma, Johnson, Downes, Cornet), he has not used/developed our youth players (Mumbama, Coventry, Scarles), he plays players out of position (Paqueta, Ward-Prowse, Kudas) and he has "treated" fans to some of the most dire football we have ever seen. We understand that sometimes we have to play defensively, but not all the time, we want to be entertained now and again is that too much to ask??????

  • Sorry Mr Moyes, but you said it. You sent your team out in first leg and you 'did really well' for 83 minutes......We needed them to defend for the whole 90mins......its these small details. Had you carried on in the vain that you started when you first got us qualifying for Europe we would have been right behind you, infact WE WERE all behind you, we were right behind you when Frankfurt put us out. Then, for whatever reason, you retreated back into your defensive anti football shite, you expected flair players to adhere to it who were then half in half out and now, we are where we are! You Sir, could have been an absolute legend here had you showed more bravery against teams. We dont expect you to be pushing for a Champions League place every season, but what we do expect, is the Never give up do or die attitude that is synonomous with the spirit of East End people in general, not cowering away in the corner, its simply not who we are, nor what we want as football fans.

  • Dear Dave, You only know to complain about refs in these both matches. Its very simple: Leverkusen is having the season of their lives, so just chill and acknowledge. Maybe West Ham would have had a chance if you had not decided to totally park the bus in Leverkusen and could rely on a squad depth such as ours. Your first half today was very good, overall the fact remains we played better across 3 X 45 min vs that good first half of your team today. Yours sincerely, Leverkusen Fan who is enjoying this exceptional season

    • I'm just talking about this leg - Was any clear penalty not called? Should somebody on the pitch have been sent off? I like aggressive and passionate football and of course english refs are more open to that. But any team also needs to adjust to the refs background. If we have an English ref for a game, we will know the limits are different. It was also not an easy game to oversee, given the tension of the environment, the occasion and your natural attempt to disrupt our game and change the odds with that
