Conor McGregor’s belief in himself is unrivaled. He goes all-in, no matter the task at hand. His passion is unstoppable and his focus is unbelievable. In this interview, he shares how he got where he is today - and how he’ll continue to commit to constant and never-ending improvement.
Who is Conor McGregor?
Conor McGregor is a championship UFC fighter and the first to hold two belts at the same time in the sport. He began his mixed martial arts career in 2008 and joined the UFC in 2013, quickly rising through the ranks to his first title belt in 2015 and becoming a two-division champion in 2016. As he says, “My career is a career of never-been-done-befores.”
McGregor is also a businessman with a successful whiskey company. He’s a husband and father. And a philanthropist. McGregor has the true mindset of a champion, both in the ring and outside of it, and it’s no surprise “The Notorious” continues to go all-in.
Unapologetic greatness
McGregor’s passion is contagious. His total commitment is unquestionable. Coming from a working-class Dublin neighborhood, he vowed to make his life different - but most importantly, he knew that he could do it. He used goal visualization from a young age. He turned his failures into fuel. He surrounded himself with great people who wholeheartedly believed in him, including not only his team, but his wife.
McGregor knew that, as he says, “The external can never defeat the internal.” The fight game is all psychological - and so is life. He learned to control his emotions. He builds empowering habits to drive him toward success. Yet he knows that mastering his mindset is an ongoing process, and he admits he still has much to learn. That’s the mindset of a true champion.
Are you ready to go all-in? Do you want to develop this unstoppable mindset? At Unleash the Power Within, you’ll learn many of the same strategies McGregor uses.

    • I think everyone gets hung up on the fact that he didn't defend his titles, but honestly all any fighter says is "I wanna be the champ" not "I wanna be champ and defend my title" the main goal for them is to be champ, what they do with that is up to them. And if you want to discredit Conor as a fighter then you dont appreciate the sport of MMA, he is truly a great martial artist, I would never say he's the greatest, but you can't count him out on his fight IQ, his precision, his swiftness and his power. That's why many great MMA fighters recognize him for it, it's not just antics and drama, as a martial arts fan, its important that you look past that.

  • Sitting here listening to this...motivational GOLD, as of 2 months ago I lost my highly lucrative career due to the COVID-19 economic crash. My company down-sized, & I was the odd man out. I'm behind in every bill & expense imaginable, my savings have been consumed by living expenses, mortgage is 1 month in arrears, & I'm about to have my phone & utilities turned off. Mind you, I just retired from the US Army last July, 30 years of service. Now I'm in this diarrhea tsunami of a life. Hearing this at 50 years old...helps exponentially. I must keep fighting. I must un-fuck myself, & get back on the trail. My fitness is the ONLY thing that has not been taken away from me, thus my continued motivation. Now I hear this 30 year old lad Conor speak these wondrous words of wisdom straight from God himself. Time to ground-&-pound my sorrows into the ground like a gaw'damn tent steak, & be about my business. Forwarrrrrd...MMMMARCH!!! Thanks Tony & Conor!

Absolutely...luck is a HUGE part, sometimes, it's the luck of(in relation to fighting), having a naturally strong punch, or sturdy enough chin to take punches, bc if you have a floppy chin no matter how bad you want it, you won't make it. That being said, I think luck should be celebrated. There was lot's of hard work too, no doubt, but luck was a big part and it's a beautiful thing. With luck, one just needs to be aware to not rely on it, for if you do, you're probably not working hard enough, and to rely blindly on a mere chance is a fools game, which I believe many people in this comment section do.

And he really took the ufc not Just himself in terms of popularity, to another level. And that advantages other fighters aswell. Every fighter would cancel any of their fights just to fight Connor instead. That goes to show they all do it for money, not just Conor. His external doesn't allow him to believe he can loss in life so losing in a fight just spurs him on the same as a win! Did anyone notice Tony Robins asserting his position as equally dominant! Robins tried to wait for Connor to finish talking before asking questions but Connor was so excited that he was interrupting Robins and unwittingly taking over the show so Robins would touch condors leg everytime he wanted to interject with a question to take back dominance!
