Good call on Jose. He’d be perfect for it
Omg that would be incredible
Please bring him! He’ll probably be down!

Carra: *recalls full games of the premier league from 1997, including the weather, players hair colour and relationship status* Also Carra: ‘I have never cooked anything before in my life’
Fair play for the comment, but I don’t think those two things contradict each other. 😅
It’s not the contradiction that’s the point of the comical element of it. It’s the fact that they’re so far apart in what is required to execute the two entities in themselves. It’s the fact thatcooking is so easy and so common and is to be expected and the skill it requires to remember things to a tee regarding his sport and career is fairly rare. It’s funny because it’s backwards.
Roy Keane is an absolute Gem. He comes off as very hard core, but I really enjoyed his take on the Bottling. He really knows how to analyze and knows how to see all point of views to a topic. He’s also super funny and his comedic timing is something you can’t teach.
Agreed! I’m always with Roy on his takes. Not just because he’s Roy but because he actually makes sense lol
Bottle job is a bottle job plain and simple and Arsenal did bottle it last hear its hard to say a team bottle it in a final last year Arsenal had it all in their hands
they had a five-point lead and still had to play city, how is that a bottle job? grow up@@liverpoolliverpool6688
The bottle thing is an absolute joke. Thrown about too much these days and usually from opposition fans of teams that have lost just to wind them up. As Keane said if City don't win anything this year does that mean they bottled it. Can understand idiotic fans saying stuff like that but for a Pundit to get sucked into the whole "bottled it" thing and say it is embarrassing and you can see him trying to justify it, which is even funnier. Should have just said, "wrong thing to say apologies" and left it at that 😆
Roy Keane has useless analysis… he boils everything down to individual players but doesn’t understand that players aren’t a monolith.

Wasn’t too warm when he was rude to the producer was he
@@jamiejosh96 nah, it was totally in jest. They (the team inc producers) are full time slagging each other. Lots of banter between them before and after behind the scenes, total respect for each other.... probably why show has been such a success 👍
I think having Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney would be a great episode.. talking about club ownership at lower levels, the struggles of the footballing hierarchy, etc.. especially since Gary is involved in ownership

100% im in the same place m8, i've been going through tough times mentally & these Overlap shows help give me forget everything for an hour, i find content so enjoyable even just the simple conversations before the show begins is quality, im not a tv fan so the limited quality content like this is great for me.
Hope you’re well. And I mean that. All the best, lads 🙌🏻

Not another comment regarding the absolute spiffing chemistry between these ex players. It's great we know. It's getting cringey as now.
Good to see Wrighty back.
This is without doubt the best podcast to tune into. Great chemistry, balance, nostalgia, banter, knowledge, respect for each other. Match made in heaven, ‘scuse the pun. Best show ever, they all just blend in together,Roy with the Denzil crack just brilliant, bring next week’s show on
Ten hag answered with a reasonable explanation of why the team is leaving those gaps . He doesn't have the pace for the defence to push up, and he can't play a full low block at home because United get criticism for sitting back at home . And it's hard to get the team to work together when it's constantly having to be changed because of injury . Carragher was right in what he said and ten hag answered it with an explanation . . We all know ten hag doesn't have the right players to play the system he wants and he's trying to adapt but he has a mish mash of players that he's struggling to find a system that fits
its a frankenstien squad that riddled with injuries, AND ETH isnt get the best out of it. Both points are valid IMO
He’s bought so many players. Liverpool also have tons of injuries so no excuse. They still play the same way and are top of the league. There’s been no progress and to say that because we don’t have Martinez and Shaw we can’t play good football is just delusional
@@alexchurch5988Klopps been there 8 years and in his early days Klopps team were leaking goals like crazy. They usually had to out score teams
Alex you’ve got to be thick? Injuries to shaw, Martinez, hojlund wan bissaka are not an excuse? They are literally the players that make us a way better team and harder to play. Hence why when they came back we won a lot of games and when they are not there we don’t play anywhere near that level. They haven’t been available all season
@urch5988 i dont care about the ''hes bought so many players'' logic. I judge a coach/manager on his ability to coach/manage, and IMO in the context of the club ETH has done that role okay. Hes not a recruitment specialist so its unfair to judge him on his recruitment. Its the glazers fault for giving him that role - hence INEOS are immediately searching for many recruitment directors as we speak. Cant compare ETH to LFC/Klopp as they have been a well run and stable club for 8 years with top people in all top level positions. Of course LFC can handle injuries, same with City, i would expect ETH to also in 6 years time after serious football people have helped him build a deep squad. ETH has inherited a club that has had bankers running the show for 8 years. We cant ignore that fact.
Martin was the highlight, fair play to him
I have to say, I love the freedom of the intro parts of these episodes. Where they just chat freely without any script/planning. It’s so fun. I look forward to that part every week. Perhaps the scripted bits should be introduced more subtly to allow the laughs and the flow of the chatting to continue. Just a suggestion 😊
roy seems so happy, smiling and laughing every episode more than ever
It shows how much Carragher has been pampered when he's never had to cook a single thing in his life.
He’s from bootle 😂
Most meals sorted for you as a player, why cook unless he has an interest in it.
@@Joe_Lebowski to survive? It's a life skill whether you like doing it or not. Young players are taught how to cook and feed themselves. When they go home after training the clubs aren't exactly delivering them meals. Carragher was probably a mummy's boy and now his wife does everything for him. He sounded proud that he's never cooked a meal in his life. A bit sad really
@@ZolaMagic25Nev and Keane cooked meals and still had time to win all the league titles Jamie got nowhere near.
Everyone has different lives no point having a go at him for it, quite clearly said his mum never let him cook, then he’s obviously been signed and started earning stupid money and never had the need to do it
Usain Bolt would be a cracking guest.
Really great episode love how heated it got and filled with passion
Brilliant this lot great watch 👍
Nice to see Wrighty back
Ten hag was specifically asked about Carra's analysis, it's not like he went away and watched it and came to the press conference to dig him out. Also United's back line can't push up high without the likes of Martinez and Shaw in the back line.
Why can't he coach the rest to the close the open spaces? They not toddlers, it's foundation level stuff. Close the open space infront of you. Doesn't need specific players everytime lol
Exactly this is why Ten Hag was saying the analysis is not objective, its obvious United won't play the same way with Maguire vs Martinez. Carra had a point but his analysis was one sided and lazy
@@YusufEbrwhat like Liverpool last season? Plagued with injury and finished outside the top 4.
Gosh I love this show! Nev, Carra, Roy and Ian are just everything ❤
Love these videos. Please don't stop making them.
Jill Scott appreciation button
Totally disagree with Carragher. Football is so much worse these days. Football in the early to mid 2000s was footballs peak across every position on the park. Tackling was still a thing, no var, no diving, competent ref, animated managers and far more world class players. Footballers now are just fitness freaks. Outside of Man city, the game is gone.
Outside of Man City!? There's at least two teams there that deserve a mention mate.
The game was based more on skills back then. Players were better! Household names in every team. It's a tactical game now and ETH is outclassed tactically.
Great content as always, not a fan of the 108050 myself but seems to be the way it's going.
I love that you all knock lumps out of each other with your banter, but don’t take it personally. I really enjoy the show.
