I'm not American and I need Fahrenheit and pounds be converted into Celsius and kilograms so I could understand.
To be fair, they should have included metric units for the international viewer.
Quibblet bohoo
Ronny Fauzi boohoooo
😂😂😂 same here.
Tupintu Moreira dummy
Fahrenheit, really? With miles for distance? Why, National Geographic, why?
Vas Eelee because it’s hard to discern what the heck kilometers and Celsius are
Maize The holographic corn Not for more than 90% of the world's population.
Vasili it's an american company idiot ignorance at it's finest
because mericans dont the communist measument method
Vasili, it's miles and Fahrenheit, so get over it!
Why is she so animated?
salmanito same thoughts. Good content but the presenter is moving a lot like drama series
Mars is exciting but not Disney channel exciting....
She.needs to get some spank on her beautifull but!
It also threw me off but the teacher in me responds: To hold kids' engagement and contagiate them with excitement on the topic thus getting them interested.
cocaine
use SI units...
great video, could you include celcious and kilograms into the next video rather than using exclusively American measurements. Makes it less enjoyable to watch.
I am tired of explaining, the majority of the audience of this channel is american, so deal with it and watch a metric version from someone else.
@@Edithmedjdoub Then stop explaining it! And USA should swap to the celsius and metric systems, like normal countries do. 🤣
@@MMMMMMMMMM857 why would we want to be normal? Conformist.
Go somewhere else then kid
second home. why not just fix the one we are one living on?
+muhammad shehzad The only thing that could fix over population is to... you know... die... and that's not a pleasant thing... Just send the excess meat to Mars and wrap it around in a marketing logo saying "Science is the best!" then leave it at that.
+dlysele lol on Earth we still have heaps of land that can be provided to a lot of people and we can control the population crisis, but what we choose to do is put borders on and not let anyone in. suppose we get humans to Mars. What will happen is the same thing that happens here, divided land.
muhammad shehzad On Mars, it won't be the same, at least not in the near future because only 3 nations on earth has ever sent man into space. And US would be the first nation to be capable of going to Mars, the rest of the world would follow only after 50-60 years, like what China is doing after the West have developed space travel in the 70s. Not to mention, space is uncharted territory, it is tabula rasa for all of mankind, as long as we have learned and do not copy our mistakes into space, it should be OK to start anew.
To cheat/avoid human extinction
We can do both simultaneously. They are not mutually exclusive.
this sounds like celebrity gossip channels, please change the format
Why change the format? I think it is ok
Why was she talking like we are Stuipd.
Have you read the other comments here? Some people are indeed dumb as fuck.
i find that irritating
+Alika Kobiashvili Don't take offense, as she aims for a universal audience, and universally, stupidity is rampant.
+Alika Kobiashvili Because enough of us are stupid, it's called catering to the masses...
+Alika Kobiashvili She's putting emotion into it, like they told her to. Young, pretty and emotional about geeky things. Its what brings in the clicks (apparently). Next, physicists in polka dot bikinis.
I like it how" Egyptians call mars har-d-dicker"Lol
Stop over acting
No u
U rude
Again, why, oh why, don't you use *metric*? You know, the measurement system used everywhere (math, engineering, science, business, military, etc.). How can I use this in a middle school classroom without having my students giggle themselves silly?
+Adam Hope that NASA's rocket fucking explodes. And that ESA reaches Mars first.
+MDent Guess what the smart Americans at NASA use ...? Hint: not the same as you.
Swearing,,
Makes sense to metricate. Congress did pass a law in 1976 to begin the process, but Reagan I believe was oppose to the idea. This decision also reflected the unwillingness to learn a new measuring system among a majority of the population at the time. Of course, this lead to failed conversion error in a Mars probe, don't know why NASA wouldn't think to include metric conversion if it was going to collaborate with a foreign space agency. It would make sense to have only one global measure system, just like English is the universal language among international business and diplomacy. Oh well. Stubborn American mentality, I suppose.
HenrySims ok idiot who was the first to get on the moon
Is she trying to explain to kindergarden kids? National Geographic wth?
2:00 Uh .... what? LOL
I don't get it
Some sort of audio problem. Either she choked on her words or the editor made a bad cut.
+Stephen Schmidt editing mistake
She said it's likely that liquid water does flow intermittently on the red planet.
No u
Water in past Filled with 95percent of co2 Sounds like Mars was the human planet before earth and we all moved to earth at some point.
If we think mars is too hazards, then we might as well just give up on exploring the space. National Geographic consistently scratching the right part of my mind, like it.
"It's not because it's easy, but because it is hard" -JFK
lol
She's cute, wait, i mean, mars, yep, mars is cute.
(:
+Aqanta S.Sutarjo mars is a he.. do you mean venus?
+Archontasius Venus Raj
Best to start with a moon base. We can work out living on another world there and once we figure that out, we can more easily launch what we need from the moon.
Yeap.
Although launching spacecraft from the moon is easier, building a base, a launchpad, and supplies on the moon would be inefficient and more expensive then improving our technology here on earth and sending such supplies from here directly
+Leon Campa How about we add a fabrication unit to the international space station, pull in space junk and old satellites, keep materials usually tossed into re-entry and fabricate the modules and drive section in orbit. Half the metal furnaces running nowadays are electric anyway.
+Leon Campa We could launch from Elysium.
Thanks for this video. I learnt some new things.
Me too😁
Same
thanks for sharing
i like the girl that was doing the video do more videos with the girl
Why Americans always measure scientific units in Imperial, is beyond me, when most of Earth uses Metric, the more accurate measurement. And no one else uses Fahrenheit. Celsius USA, Celcius.
I am tired of explaining, the majority of the audience of this channel is american, so deal with it and watch a metric version from someone else.
Atleast they used a proper unit for measurements this time and not abstract units like "School Buses" and "Olympic Swimming Pools" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
really great
In 2014 india joined the race with mars orbitor ! Looking forward for our rover in 2020
ken wt india is so far behind
India is the first and by far the only country to have a satellite orbiting Mars on its first try
Please explain it in standard American units such as how many football fields long is the distance from Mars to Earth so ordinary people can understand
20 years later..... *mArS iS fLaT*
Hiii National geographic Love Your Videos sooo much
Lets get to Mars ;) cant wait
you guys painted Mars too red
Kevin Lobo um how? mars is red
Shut up
thanks for telling me
“7 billion people on earth + climate change = colonise a hostile environment.” I hear this ‘solution’ all the time when people talk about mars. Why is self control and personal responsibility deemed impossible.
The girls voice and movement made watching this video the most painful 220 seconds I’ve ever experienced. I legitimately feel sick right now.
Where can we get a summary of the Mars video in writing? Thank you
I'm impressed by the girl's expression.
I like The way she moves.
Indians.
sooo amazing 😦😲🤠🤓
I don't know much about mars supporting life but watching this video I know who can 😉
Please bring back the earlier format. The voice over in those is much calmer. The format is much more easier to understand. I felt like it was a video on cartoon network. We watch it for information and knowledge, not for fun. I mean of course it's fun, but come on this format is so not good. The host's voice is irritating. I lowered it so much to make it more comfortable to hear.
On the Mars lived very smart & intelligent people ,they are actually
She killed my enthusiasm, I don't why but she did it.
For centuries Mars has aroused our imagination ... and you arouse me babe.
David Bowie 🙏🏻💙❤️
Good
Lol she'd make a cute astronaut xD
Creepy...
0:07 *the red one!..convict..Gaga!*
WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE MY REALISTIC VIDEOS?!?!
She is who made them. She's the producer and narrator of those too.
I think the first crew mission to Mars is going to be to get there then circle Mars in orbit and return to earth.
Quick Action on Mars mission should be taken. Yet, We are so Backward in the science
I love this girl
indians everywhere
Beautiful contenyo l am asomrean
its funny how they did not mention ISSRO as like they made a impressive achievement by finding information on Mars, secondly for any one saying that this video was made before that well the time gap between ISSRO reaching mars and the video is only 1 year so they should have at least edited the video.
Kids in year 2119, my dad's grandfather used to call Elon Mars for just Mars.
Mars is cool
0:13 'You' arouse my imagination. 😅
this girl spoiled the whole series solar system 101 . Hit like if you also thinks same ☺️
And what about the Greeks ? The Greeks gave the name to Mars they gave the name not only to most of the visible with telescope planets in the solar system but in english now they are known from the Latin name of the Greek gods for example mars is the god Aris in the roman empire. Furthermore the Greeks gave the names to moons as well such as Phobos (it means fear in Greek ) which is one of the satellites of Mars and Deimos the other (it means something similar to fear but cant be translated) . Most importatly the Greeks not only found those planets gave names but also calculated their perior their radious and they could predict their possition with the antikithira mechanism and use them as navigation. The most important of all is that more than 3000 years before any other civilisation Aristarhos said that the sun is the center of the solar system and the earth is a planet (planet again is Greek meaning a wandering object)
Truly interesting. The greeks were really ahead of their time!
Could someone tell me whether the S is supposed to be a devoiced Z sound. I’ve never heard of people say MarZ like that.
Hello there. :) She very pleasant and informative. I’ll watch all her videos. What is her name? Anyone know?
What a technology made by NASA which go to Mars like rover
THE PERSONS ON: "MARS." WHERE NEVER HAPPY. CAUSE. THEY COULD NEVER GET ANNY: "SNICKERS."
Let's go to Venus!
poor mars. they are so great but overlooked. Its strange..
Coolz :)
Make mars our second home ? We'll live in giant stations and we'll be all suit up while going outside... I don't know the only vibe i get from the video is that mars is just super hostile.
It's actualy named after the Roman god of war Marte, you forgot to mention
I think i'm in love... with Mars.. i'm not sure..
1:20 Mass (lb/kg) does not change on Mars or any other place in the universe but the gravitational pull applied on a body changes which has a different unit than pounds, called Newton (pound-force), never heard of it? According to explanation on the video, mass of Mars would change with its elliptical orbit by its distance to Sun, but it is not. Why, because it is mass not force. Or, in free space, would I weigh 0 lbs and can reach the speed of light? I wish so...
we want the actual look
i cant take this video, nor this channel seriously when you guys are using fahrenheit as the unit
TKSRichy you know everyone goes by that right? At least in the U.S
TKSRichy it's american idiot ignorance at it's biggest
Distance between sun and earth is 149 million
Celsius plz
Change ur anchor first NG..
DREAM!!!!!!!!!
when will the Americans start using Celsius like most of the countries on earth ? +1 Celsius you have liquid water, -1 it's frozen...Could it be easier than that?
Frank Maclow shut up ignorant don't like it don't watch oh what's that national geographic is the only science you will get because you're so unedaucated you have to bash on the greatest country because your "country" doesn't know how to do anything right and you're a mad little idiot who always bashes on america because they're the best county your country probably can't even feed you
RIP mars rover :(
You need to reupload this. with better graphic and metric system.
Mercyne TV why because they're american and use the imperial system go back to your counry you probably live in america because your country couldn't feed you
Add the non-US formats for weight and temperature.
I am tired of explaining, the majority of the audience of this channel is american, so deal with it and watch a metric version from someone else.
@@Edithmedjdoub and in a global world, I am tired that people in U.S. are stuck in the 18th century. You are aware that almost every engineering organization uses the metric system nowadays
@@DC9848 in reality, America doesn't change to imperial, because it doesn't have to, you know how time consuming and costly it would be to change everything in the usa to metric, our industry is based on the imperial system, our school system. it may seem hard to a non-american but if you learn it from a child like we do its very easy
Why we don't use skyhook
The Lion King at 2:25-2:26
284 degrees Farenheit=Really hot, but not Venus or Mercury.
Nergal is a rock god!
I wish this episode was like the rest in the series, ie. without an overacting human narrator
There is
for centuries Mars aroused our imagination, but now on Malina Mars
wow.....take another voice for this....
SO THAT MEANS
Why not concentrate and invest more on living that would benefit our Earth rather than just find a new one? Earth is beautiful! We are just hurting it.
I don't understand miles or fareneit or feet or hands or rectumloads. I'm not drawing out my calculator watching this in bed
The girl Mars may be earth 2.0 People: cmon let's destroy it next
No mention of missions from other countries....unfortunate
Эфир🎉
Studying nearby planets and the solar system as a whole is crucial. But I don't think living on Mars is our best option to live. I see it only as a business scheme for those who promote living on Mars. With the issues on climate change, I think it will be best to utilize these space exploration funds on addressing climate change instead. We have the most beautiful and richest planet in the solar system and probably in the entire universe, so why settle for less? I don't understand why we need to live on Mars when we can still do something to save the Earth. If we are still as greedy and abusive about natural resources as we are on Earth, how much more if we transfer to Mars? Note: We only appreciate the importance of something, once it was gone.
Because it would save us from a potential asteroid disaster or supervulcano, or the most important of all, a nuclear war
I’m on binge with the all planets and was excited to get to mars.. but then there’s a presenter so.. i’m disappointed
Why oh why? Why is this episode different from the others? The narrator makes it very difficult for me to keep watching. So noisy gosh.
Imma go there so I can jump high😝
Animals will not survive if we move to Mars. We only explored a bit of the ocean.
2:23 Lol just plant trees easy
It's Dayta not Dat-a
tomato tomato
Potayto Potarto
Potatoe potato
No one can enter mars even nasa instruments 🎺
2:01 sorry what?
She thinks she's teaching nursery kids? lol
where is the old format? I want the old animation and analysis, it was more attractive and realistic than this
When the earth with 2% carbon dioxide becomes inhospitable we should go to mars with 98% carbon dioxide 😅
