I believe I've been here, since about 50,000 subs, I now see 1,7 million.... CONGRATS MATT, family, past and present crew...always been fun, clean entertainment 😋😋
4 bucks per serving of ground chuck, while 1lb is 15 bucks. More like 15 bucks per serving. :(
Peanut was ALL kinds of ready to get out.
Thank you for sharing
Just Mears and tin foil..lol😊❤😊
The B-roll of two brothers fighting for the front seat is priceless. 😂 They’re both great young men.
"After that we can go catch the guy who stole your sleeves" - Collin LMAO. That made me laugh.
sleeves are for disguising noodle arms.
I appreciate Matt letting his dogs go for a run while recovering vehicles. They’re built to run and know when they’ve had enough. Thanks Matt.
If those dogs didn’t want run……..they wouldn’t
@@chipsrafferty8362 exactly what I said. Max and Lady are getting old and aren’t willing to go as often, but Peanut, she’s ready willing and able, 24/7. LOL
I have a neighbor with two large dogs, one a pitbull mix the other a German shepherd, we live in an urban area and those two dogs are only brought out to do their business, they're barely given enough leash to do what they need to on the side of the house or they bring them across the street to the side of my house then right back in the house, he has a four door pickup he can use to take them to the nearby dog park for some exercise but he doesn't, I'm not a dog person but I feel bad for them, that's no kind of life for them. Growing up my uncle always had a dog and he had a yard where they could run around and there was a big park three houses away where e would let them run much to the shagrin of the park police, he carried a leash with him, he said he wouldn't own a dog unless they were able to run free.
@@Peter-pv8xx that sucks for those dogs. We have two mutts, one is about 100lbs and the other about 60. We have a very large backyard that is completely fenced and we let them out as long as they want. They will run and play and tackle each other until they’ve had enough to which they will do one of two things. One, scratch at the back door to come in, or two, go find their favorite spots and bask in the sunshine. They’re spoiled beyond belief. But they’re supposed to be. 😁😁🐕🦺🦮
Peanut hit the jackpot when Matt and Jefe rescued her in the middle of nowhere freezing to death. She's living her best life now.
Feels like an old-school episode before the huge camera crews and drones and all the commercialized stuff. Just Matt and the boys getting them out. Loved it!
Before Matt did so much mugging for the camera.
Agree 👍
@@unclerojelio6320 what does mugging mean?
yup 👍 the old school vids were the best .. seldom was something being peddled or promoted.. just good ol recovery work
I think they got a different video editor, it was campy for a minute there.
Really love the father -> Son -> Brother love that goes on with these 3. Turning into a great team to watch.
Teaching your kid how to donut is peak dad vibes. Love it.
"If you don't like that kinda stuff, sorry - If you do, your welcome" - LOVE IT. The Morvair is a BEAST... love the exhaust. Thanks guys.
Absolutely love the design of those old gen 4Runners. Though I'm slightly biased as I just bought one myself!
3rd Gen 4Runners are awesome! I had a '96 with an OME lift, nothing fancy, but it was fun. Sadly, the head gaskets went at 200k, wasn't worth the money to replace them. Have fun with yours.
My son has one just like that in green and IO have a 2021 Gen5 TRD Pro. Love these trucks
I'd love to have one with a manual and 4wd.
Sorry to hear mate, hope things start to get better for you soon 🙏
The next best thing to the 80s Hilux you guys can't get. That chicken tax cost you guys some really nice 4x4s.
Idk why, but i LOVE the cameraman Matt. it's so fun and cheerful but also has a mix of cool dad mixed it (hope that makes sense) and i also like the doughnuts.
It's like watching your friend telling you about the days events. Plus the backdrop of the high desert is just amazing.
@@Kevin-ti3rz Yesssss!!
Hats off to Bryce for automatically putting on his seatbelt! You don't see that very much on these offroad channels, but it made me proud!
Thanks boss
Love the older 4Runners! We had one my husband drove forever, gave it to our oldest, he drove it forever, dad got it back, drove it more & finally sold it with 300k+ miles and still running great!
@7:19 "This is a manual..." I happen to be wearing my "Save the Manuals" t-shirt today. 😄I learned to drive in a Ford F-100 pickup that had 3-speed on the column.
the shifter on the column was my downfall, on the floor was no problem
Learned on a 1981 Candy Apple Red Ford F-100, 3 on the tree also😂
1976 GMC Astro cabover with a 13spd.
My 6 year old daughter rides in the middle front seat of my 94 f150 and has recently been learning how to shift the 5 speed for me 😁 I remember doing it in my dad's vehicles when I was kid
@@Beandiptheredneck Nice! I used to own a '95 F150 Ext. Cab. Loved that body style.
When Peanut is ready to get out and run, she leaves no doubt.
She kicked Matt to move him out of the way!😂😂😂
The thought bubble above her head was screaming let me out .
Someone I knew had a German Shepherd and If your window was down, you would get a nose slobber on the back of your neck and a head butt.
14:16 The notorious 'big wheel, low profile, mall crawler combo'... gets you stuck every time... Props to Brice. Seatbelt use is muscle memory for him. 👍💪
The Geo being dragged through the desert episode is still my favorite of all time.
Absolutely !!!
Peanut just brings joy to our hearts. I used to go four wheelin with my pitty and she would run along just like Peanut. Always worried I would hit her butt at 25mph but she never did get in the way. Miss that girl, ya'll have some special pooches.
Matt, I really appreciate that you take the time to explain to the audience WHAT you are doing, and WHY. I've learned so much, and from watching your videos, the techniques you teach have gotten me out of a bind on 2 occasions.
I enjoy how Peanut wants her air time as well.
I LOVE seeing the safe, professional rigging. It only takes 11% longer and makes it at least 11% safer.
especially with those 11mm screwnutbolts holdin everything together!
Love seeing Peanut as a crewmember. She's a sweetheart and has a great life !!! The Peanut and Matt Show.👍
Back to the basics! You make it looks so easy… but I think Peanut is the real star of the show. She has a truly wonderful dog’s life. We need an episode on her now, I love her enthusiasm for getting out for her run. I really think she believes she’s herding the truck. Border Collies are amazing dogs!
Love to see Colin & Rhett working with Dad and their banter back & forth. Also the moments Matt uses for teaching.
While I enjoy the family and crew, it just wouldn’t be a recovery video without Peanut sneaking a mug and leading the way. She’s the MORR mascot, clearly loves her people and has a great life. Thank you for that.
Great idea showing Peanut extremely impatient to get out! Shows those who thought you were making the dogs run while you drove otherwise!
LOL.. I heard lunch too. Maybe Rhett was just hungry thinking about those catfish. 😁
Peanut is such a great little dog! Matt, you can really be proud of Kaulin and Rhett, they are the best side kicks.
On the ForeRunner: rigged like that, you're trying to pull the TREE out of the ground. Move the 'Vair to the other end of the Toyota, put the pulley on the 'Yota, anchor the END of the Freedom line to the tree, and pull. You'll double the force on the ForeRunner instead of doubling the force on the tree. Love these episodes; wouldn't miss 'em.
Manual transmissions, reducing vehicle thefts daily. 😉 😂
WOW. What a nice 4Runner
I thought that tree was in the perfect spot for a snatch ring recovery. Was a nice change from a kinetic rope. Good to show another way to do the job. The lowered gearing does work well. Worth the hassle of putting the new transfer case in. Look forward to getting out to Utah again this summer. Stopped by the shop in 2020, nobody was there. May stop again, hope you won't need to save our 4Runner.
I got the Winch right here, 'it's name is Paul Revere'...'Can dooo, Can doo! This horse says...ANYONE? Thanks for playing along! 🤩
It is truly amazing how well Peanut stays on the trails and locates the stuck vehicles.
I bet when there not filming they show her the On-X .
@@Kevin-ti3rz Peanut IS the On-X, it's an AI dog...
Peanut is a Recon dog..
I must say. I really appreciate the relationship you and the boys have. Seeing how much you Trust them really shows a lot. It is pretty fun to watch you all interact.
Great lesson! Most of us love to pickup from the experts! It would be great if you had a few pieced together series of winch/kinetic tow videos. We often take for granted the knowledge that you make it look so easy. Thanks Matt and Crew!!
"Go spin a donut" Annnd The Coolest Dad of the Year trophy goes to!! I swear this channel never gets stale🤣😂
Peanut must sleep like a boss every night. What a great life for a dog!!
"I just love my brother so much." 🤣 🤣 🤣
Love that kinda stuff. 70 years old and still look forward to parking lot snow-nuts in the Ranger.
It is good to see Matt relax and enjoy the recoveries. The videos are more enjoyable. Teach the kids and us viewers is good too.
Every morning, I take my three guard dogs for their morning run in my XJ. My male Mastiff does the same thing as Peanut except he puts his chin, much larger dog, on my shoulder. Occasionally, it is one of my female German Shepherds instead. Cheers from Canada.
Genuine nature makes your channel a pleasure to follow. Well done.
Matt, you’re the nicest guy on the planet of internet television! You never get mad, your team is always in a good mood! Keep it up!
Peanut is always ready to get out and run. Your dogs make me happy!
Just bought a 2013, and I love it!!! {And I'd say Lizzy and Peanut are spiritual sisters, and Lizzy, you are missed.}
are you insinuating Lizzy is a dog? 😜 always great seeing Peanut.
Use a handheld plumb bob to show how steep the ground is.👍 It could be as simple as a large nut tied to a string, keep it in the glove compartment or something.😎
Good idea but I think it would take something larger than string to suspend Matt.
@@rxcalvosa It took me a second to get that. Good One!
General Aviation trick when in the ☁️ clouds &/or instrument back-up : Tie a Half-dollar or Quarter sized washer & suspend it from a screwhead along the top of the windscreen. 🍀 if its hanging towards the floor : yer Good 👌 🙃 if its Lying on the ceilling : yer Upside Down 😱 😳 if its flat against the windscreen : take action FAST ⏳ 🪂? 🔋⚡ if your Battery / Electricals just failled : 🥳 No Worries ! GRAVITY DOESN'T BREAK 👍 ( see 📐 👀 angle of the dangle ! )
I do like that kind of stuff, thank you camera guy Matt.
Yeah that made me smile from ear to ear i love seeing some sweet off road doughnuts thanks for the smile engaging content
Love Peanut...Great member of the crew, loves the outdoors. Nice recoveries.
That Lizzy vid with the Geo is the funniest recovery video I've ever seen, I laughed till my side hurt. HaHaHa!!
Lizzy and Randy Show ---- All-time Best.
@@lanceleavitt7472 and yet strangely enough it marked the end for Randy.
I love seeing you spend time with your boys. You are a very patient man.
Good ol engine cookin'. I grew up in the 80s & 90s doing that across the U.S. with my dad. Good to see it still being done. Good job Matt!
Teaching ur son doing doughnut is best bonding moment in the vid👍
But the moment the boy said “I’ve always wanted to make that dad joke” is where you KNEW that Matt is a good father! 🥹🤣😜
This felt like a back to the roots type of video. Loved it. Matt and his boys make a great team.
That was great. teaching your son to take the reins and have hands on experience is priceless. Also letting him learn the balance, capabilities AND throttle control is also. Knowing the limits of your vehicle gives them a better understanding of how to do your/their future job. So good to watch.
Kaulin and Rhett can both be very funny at times with their comments, questions and one-liners. A sense of humor and a quick wit are both fun to watch AND fun to direct toward others.
Those 3rd Gen 4Runners with a manual transmission are getting so hard to find! Other than the clear coat on the paint, that one looked to be in fantastic shape
hes my cousin i convinced his to get it since i loved mine so much but when i got mine i got desperate and just went for automatic i definitely wish i would have waited, he picked up that 1997 green sr5 for $9k in colorado, it has 0 rust just faded paint on the hood
I have a 1990 that I bought from the original owner, a friend of my parents. I was on the camping trip when he debuted his brand new purchase. I've slowly been going through it replacing worn or about-to-break stuff. All silicone vacuum hoses, new sunroof and rear window seals, bump stops and steering limit caps, body mounts, belts, you name it. Probably 300 parts, all OEM toyota. No rust, no peeling paint. I friggin love it. It looks bone-stock but has a 2.5" OME lift, 5.29's, onboard air and twin-locked on 33" BFGs mounted to 2017 TRD rims. Subtle and sweet.
My Willy's jeep gladiator has a manual transmission and I like it. I've been driving a manual transmission since my first car in my 1980 El Camino back in the late 1990s.
@@franiglesias8983I waited years but finally found a 1998 5-Speed with a rear locker and only 143,000 miles. It came from Arizona so the frame is immaculate
'if we don't like that kind of stuff.." Heck even the rescuee was grinning as soon as he was moving again. Back to the funs! ♥
Thank you Matt and crew for the adventure and seeing some beautiful scenery !
Great weekend crew. I think it’s awesome that you take the boys on recoveries and ‘let’ them participate. They get to learn skills, practice, and have fun while doing so. The best part is the family time. Way to be, DAD😂❤😂
‘Just imagine’ the departure angle on the rear of that BEAST. And how the pintle don’t even come close to dinking the rock. That’s one heck of an angle! I wheel mainly Vermont and the terrain couldn’t be any different. I wonder how my Lex 460 would do out there. I got a winch, soft shackles and a MORR rope.
I noticed all the space between hitch and rock also.
Peanut has the best dog life .
I loved the additional information on how and why you do what y'all do. Very cool! Thank you, gentlemen 👌🏼
Great to always see the young men and women with you. They will never forget the experience
Gee, you had to drag Peanut out of the Moorvair. 😂
There's Matt shouting Come on Peanut, except the dog is way in front of him and going way faster. I had to laugh.
The camera really did capture how steep those two hills were. Good job Matt on improving your directorial & film making abilities.
I like that kind of stuff! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
Off road recovery would be my dream job. Unfortunately where I am in the UK its impossible to get more than 20 miles away from someone with a tractor, and it’s simply not needed.
I hear the Scottish Highlands have some nice remote places to get stuck in 😅
You’d be surprised. I work for a recovery company that has an off road section and they’re called out at least 10 times a day across the East Midlands
Mr Hewes has done a few with his Foden Wrecker.
Lived in Overton for ten years now I live in Grand junction. Used to stomp around all the areas you all rescue in. Had some real scary stuff around gold butte . Nice to revisit these areas through your rescues.
Don't you love how now everybody in the family and in the shop gets to drive all the trucks, and Matt's just happy to be cameraman!!??
I liked that the Morvair is my favorite build you've done to date. In fact my favorite vehicle on the tube
Yes folks you can cook food on the engine . There was a person years ago that put out a cookbook with time and distance for cooking various foods . Just wrap it good and tight
Lol. What's next, a engine that can boil water. People believe anything. 😂😂😂
We would toast bagles and heat frozen burritos on the air cleaner way back in the 80's
@@theuglytruth8162 If it's on the exhaust manifold, sure why not?
@@alittlehusky5 Ugly finally contributed a funny post and it went over your head!
@@alittlehusky5 wow you're right, who knew heat cooks things. Wait till the cave man finds out. 🤣😂😅
I like the more down to earth videos like this. Fancy is nice sometimes but doesn't need to be all the time. The recovery info is nice too.
❤ 12:13 You can tell Peanut doesn't like being in the back. She thinks she's human and part of the crew 😂
Peanut really loves those runs ❤
Holy Smokes! You let Rhett out from the cupboard under the stairs! Good deal! We've not been seeing enough of him lately. Hey Matt. If you want to photographically enhance how steep something is you need a telephoto shot at a small aperture from below. That "compresses" distance and really enhances rises.
That Toyota was very clean. 5 speed manual, 4x4 & looked like it had a rear locker. Owner’s got good taste.
The knowledge and skill at knowing your operating conditions, building a rig purpose built for said conditions, being a life long driver in those conditions, speaks volumes into the purpose built engineering that went into all their rigs. Knowledge is power. 🤘🏽🍻
I would love to find one of those older 4Runners to run around in. They are nice trucks. Great work. Keep it up MORR❤❤
if your serious look in the area of colorado most dont actual have bad rust and they sell like flies out there thats where my cousin got this green one you see here in the video
Adorable family overdose! Doc, I think I'm getting hooked. I'm so glad I have refreshing channels like Matt's to watch. Thank you for being genuinely wholesome and an overall role model in many ways.
After here you will find a lot of the other ones in Matt's off-road community too watch. Robby ,Paul at Fab Rats. All good family fun .
I absolutely love manual vehicles and even taught my son to drive on a manual! Love watching Peanut!
That build you have done has been pure joy for you and she pulls off then d..nuts good too great job mat and crew
Nice that you continue to keep Lizzie(sp?) in the conversation. Too often, a person who has left is soon forgotten and never mentioned. She was a big part of the early draw to the channel for me. Young kid learning to weld and recover off-road is great. Good on Ya. Those youngsters are inspiring.
Happy Wednesday!🎉 Not a 4runner, must be the driver! 😂😂
WOW! .... Peanut can talk! .... (and Matt looks like Buddy Hackett when she does!) 😃
It was good to see just you and your boys on recoverys. Rhett and Kaulin have grown up so much and work well together .
I love that area near Gunlock. It's one of our favorite stomping grounds.
I want a manual 4 runner so bad I grew up with manuals and love driving them
I never drove a manual till my first car...ever since there all man. 6spd.
I drove manuals from 16 to 26. Hard to beat fun factor but at 70 it can get a little tiresome in town. Had a six speed in my S2000 and could never run it out in 4 th gear cause I’d be breaking every speed limit in country by then😂😂😂😂
A manual ‘box is a deal-breaker for me too, although it’s increasingly challenging to find an interesting daily driver that doesn’t have an auto’. I had to source my current car from the other end of the country to find one with a clutch.
@@fritty9927 yeah, we have three vehicles, all manual, a 4speed in the truck,a five speed Accord and the 6speed in Sandy S2000😎
Rhett should go fishing for a little while during a recovery near water when the customer isn't there waiting for their rig. Katelyn could be his camera person and laugh at him and Peanut could ruin the fishing by running into the water...it'd be a good time and a fun video no matter what. ;)
Where are the Cops? You were making Donuts.
Peanut just reminded me, where’s jefe been?
3rd gen 3.4l 4Runners are monsters, change my mind! Such a nice rig!
It's so awesome to do things with your grown kids. Didn't any of my boys choose to be welders but off roading is the best time I've ever enjoyed with my boys
Much love from Kenya 😍😍
We're here brother 🇰🇪🇰🇪✌️✌️
Glad to see the Morvair back in action! Hoping it becomes your preferred recovery vehicle. It's beautiful, unique, and a beast. You built one hell of a machine there.
On terms of showing steep, one of the you tubers from the off-road games showed shots from inside a vehicle where the bottom of the shot lined up with gravity and the vehicle rotated around that. The best steep shots I have ever seen.
So we got a call
I LOVE those old 4runners!!!
