    • @@MooseTurder Yeah I was thinking something like this though at 50+mbytes it might be hard for people to install with poor signal. It also looks from the reviews like it wants some sort of data connection to work. Perhaps something like mini gps tracker, at 2.2MByte and explicitly no need for internet to run or something similar might be a useful option. Heh they could even roll their own, why not ;-)

  • 17:20 If anyone is wondering what they are saying here, it translates to: "this is what he does for a living, dude!" My guess is that Matt connected the line to the wishbone up front, and one of the dude's there was like "he's gonna rip it off", in Spanish. However, as Matt has shown before on this channel it can be used as a recovery point.

You guys were at the right place at the right time to help them out. That reminded me of a time I got stuck in the sands of the Tecate desert in Mexico. Why not have 2 black iron pipes (thick wall) that are wider then the trailer, deburred and can store under trailer WITH access from either side (even sitting in a rack at an angle). Then you will have a pry bar / leverage bar and since they are round you can use them as rollers to help with the broken suspensions from dragging on ramps.

    • Yeah, they normally get the cane to hide the smoke alright, but the vibe of the episode made me feel like they couldn't get it to line up with the cigarette right away, and decided to just roll with it. At least, that's what I wanted to think while watching it, lol

  • It's amazing how well the Morvair handles offroad! The older square body suburbans are alot like that, seem to stop on a steep hill & able to keep going up when others have to try again. 22 body mounts so the suspension flex is key!

  • I am amazed at what predicaments people put themselves in. A travel trailer on that trail was a no way. People need to research the routes they are thinking about using. Not just drive in and get to a point where they can’t go forwards or backwards. It does create a lot of business for Matt and crew.
