When the creator says watch till the end… I dip.
Sorry, but you don't self-teach shaolin, its a heavily regimented tradition.
You are correct I studied whushu for 3years under an 8th generation grand master sifu Tiyim I was never happer
Came to say the same
He needs to fire his master. Lol
I think sarcasm was being used there.
should have said- YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW BAD THESE FIGHT WERE.
Yi Long was boxing and didn’t use any kungfu moves.
And he won easily.
He also proved taking shots is always a loss, unless you KO
true))) teh channel is a grano crappo. Dislike, block, report)))
technically Kungfu means Skill, which is really broad. For Chinese, do not be surprise if teacher or parents praise their children "your writing kungfu is good" or "your math kungfu is better than me". Same goes with cooking, martial art, caligraphy, dance, programming and many thing else.
@@ericwong4213 more exactly it means the effort we spend to hone the skill.
It is not the art that defines the artist…but the artist who defines his art.
"self taught in Shaolin kung fu",,& I'll Be On The Los Angeles Lakers Next Month..LMMFAOOO!
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING!
Don’t clickbait, the thumbnail is so fake. The dude on the left is not a karate master but instead a Brazilian jujitsu black belt named Royce Gracie and they edited the monk on the right. The monk was edited in place of Ken Shamrock (I’m pretty sure that’s right) and the edited picture is from UFC 1 (circa 1993). So as a fellow martial artist and BJJ practitioner I can safely say that the thumbnail is FAKE
Love how the "karate fighter" in the thumbnail is Royce Gracie! 🤣
You notice that too
yeah...
I love how the Shaolin master has never trained in Shalin and it’s just a kickboxer from China 😂
most people don't know shit anyway. comparing Karate with Chinese art, meanwhile Karate was martial art from Ryukuan kingdom which translates to "Chinese hands".
Respect to the judges for understanding that this is an exhibition match.
“Surprising or controversial” = “Corrupt judges”
My thoughts exactly
I believe that it is more the fighter than the style. In many years of training I have seen amazing individuals in almost every style of martial arts. The ones that can adapt to the other styles are usually the winners. There is no single dominant martial art.
Guess what Bruce Lee's rebellious mind was all about...
So true.As a former wing chun athlete,i totally agree
The only exception to this are the art forms that are simpler to learn. I don't think someone should have to be a world class athlete to learn self defense. Someone that can't do the high flying kicks, or the acrobatics of capoeira, can still learn and practice. The simpler, the better.
@@carlschnackel3051 I agree. The simpler, the better + the endurance of striking and the capability of taking abuse. One can train outside the "ring" all they want, once in a fight or flight mode, the body could respond in an entirely different way.
That is entirely true. A style of fighting is an oxymoron. If you even train to do this thing or that thing, you have eliminated your freedom and become a slave to defeat. You train your body to endure and be flexible, you then beat them in their own style.
When you tell me to watch till the end I'm gone
Same
Every head shock destroys neurons in the brain....poor fighters...🙏😌🙏
Say what neurons where from kick punch? If I...... Squirrel!
It wont be nice when they get older, like with most fighters.
It's honestly more about the fighter than the martial art. No matter what style you are if you can't apply it in a real life situation you are little more than a dancer. Having over 4 decades of experience in a system of "kung-fu" I can definitely say that there's a very serious difference between the ring and the street. Another thing is the style has to fit you. Your personality and body build. I've tried several styles, and have friends in several very different ones, my best friend is a sensei in American Kenpo Karate. He's as effective in his arts as I am in mine if not more so. My point is its a matter of the fighters and often a matter of a "lucky" hit. I've heard this debate over karate vs kung-fu for nearly 50 years. It's old and tired. I suggest to anyone interested in martial arts try a few, find the ones that fit you best. And then focus on becoming the best YOU can be, then be a little better. Harmony
It's not always about the style, but the man.
finally , the fight is looking like 95% boxing!
Self taught in Shaolin Kung Fu? Now that sounds legitimate...
RESPECT TWO FIGHTER..... SPORTS ONLY
Respect Forever Shaolin Boxer 🌏🌍🌎🖋️🙏🇨🇵🥷 ..' 🙈🙉🙊🪷
GORGEOUS
Royce Gracie’s karate is second to none.
@Leonard I saw what you did there lol 😂
Yi Long is a fascinating fighter. If he wants, he is standing there like a wall, being punched and kicked and seemingly could not care less about it. I guess this is something really frightening in a fight. I mean in a real fight. I am also doing martial arts for over 20 years now and am used to be fighting against points and such but then that is very different from a "real" fight overall. But if I do see this guy handling those punches like he would eat breakfast, this is fascinating.
more like stoopid 😊
When I was a kid I saw kung fu stop a speeding bullet and kick a hat off a bad guy😅
One man mastered all different styles the legendary Bruce Lee
It's not always about how it tastes...but how it looks on the menu.
In fact there are hundreds of styles within the generalised term Kung Fu
Well yes, it just refers (in modern usage) to a Chinese martial art. In Chinese it does not even mean just martial arts, it just means something that takes time and patience/ skill to learn, like cooking, or painting. You are also right, there is every single type of style possible to be found in China, from boxing to wrestling.
It all depends on how well you master the martial arts style. And whether the style you master has any weaknesses. The more complete a style is, the more prepared you will be in battle. Bruce Lee did it the smartest, he combined several styles such as Wing Tsung, traditional Kung fu, boxing and much more. But what he used the most was WT which is very effective in combat.
You are absolutely correct! Lee was actually the reason I became involved in "kung-fu". Not only was he small of stature but brilliant at seeing what works without the hang up on tradition.
What is the meaning of wt
@@gregoryoruko I actually thought it was " What Technique". Now that you asked I'd like to know his definition of the letters too.
@@greyhawk4898 Yeah me also
Looks like the Shaolin Kung Fu Master was playing with the Karate Fighter. Wow.
Background song name?
I immediately abort any video that says “Watch this video to the end to find out.”
I also Did 'believe what happened next'. As usual, not too much.
🏆No guts🍀no glory 👀✌️
LOL great comedy. All I have is 1 name, 2 words: Xu Xiadong 😂
Everytime I see a kung-fu fighter they really like blocking with their face
The Shaolin Kung Fu masters undoubtedly have exceptional skills, fitness and discipline. They have done pretty well in western MMA where the rules principally support striking. But at least from what I've seen, they don't fare well if the rules include wrestling, grappling, throws, and 'ground and pound'.
shaolin kung fu rules - they live and breathe martial arts
A Kung-fu Monk Vs Anyone on the planet. They are built to exist.
Thats why I know Bruce Lee would have lost a fight against a Shaolin monk.
Monks dont fight or participate in competition.
They do fight, but more self defense , is there techniques. They will compete in exhibition sport to teach and train. They even have there own competitions against each other for training
What about pissed off monks
Are you talking about all the different kinds? Or only the one kind that is in your comic book
Regardless of what you’re talking about li is not a Shaolin kung fu master he’s a kickboxer from China who wears that outfit as a gimmick and apparently KZheadr can’t take 20 minutes to do a little research on this guy.
Really real Masters never fights others fighters wannabe.. My GrandMaster always telling me it's taken life time of practice but you can never reach Nirvana..I hate Fake Monk ( Monkeys).. Really fake just shave his head called himself Monk ( Monkeys) ahhhhhhhhhhh...
@6:37 *"When you don't mind brain damage"*
You know it's bout to be some bullsh!t when the title claims karate but the thumbnail claims bjj
self taught Shaoliin kung fu master??
That's like saying he's the King of Siam just because he says so.
Many, many years ago I was a student of Shaolin Kung Fu. I was taught it was defensiive and not offensiive. To me it was more of a ballet. I am a female and it was me and 99 men. I drove our Master crazy for months until he finally took me into the class. Back then, about 50 years ago, there would have been no logical reason so compete with karate. Kung Fu was considered spiritual. Twice a week I spent 3 hours a night. Half of the time was physical moves and practice and half on spiritual stories. There should have been no reason for the two very different "sports" to compete. My honor still goes to Shaolin Kung Fu and should be taught in its original form, not for fighting. It is good for children, who can move on to Karate later. So send your children, girls and boys, to classes in Shaolin Kung Fu.
The shaolin monk vs johnny cage
You might want to change the thumbnail. That's no karate fighter. That's Royce Gracie. He's even got the "Gracie Jiu Jitsu" logo on his back.
What has to do with karate or any martial art ?
They should then be able to dominate Ultimate fighting, but that does not seem very likely
That fake monk fighting again? With 2 female partners all ready to cry their hearts out when he looses. Go get a day job.
That 2nd match tai chi guy.. he had a huge reach advantage
Calling Ho man choi a karate fighter is kind of hilarious
At Yoseikan Budo we won a competition organized by a Kung Fu club with Karateka, we beat these two disciplines. Because in Yoseikan Budo there is no combat limit
there are several forms of karate, and dozens of styles of kungfu. when it comes down to it, usually it's the practitioner's skill that decides the fight, not the style. (also, they were boxing, not practicing either martial art.)
Yi Long is not a shaolin kung fu master. He taught himself, he didn't study with the shaolin monks. You show a short clip of Yi Long at the beginning where he just stands there absorbing punches. In fact a few moments later he takes one too many and is knocked out.
Flagging for misleading title and thumbnail.
Well the bigger you are the easy you get hit by egg crasher deadly kick by kung fu master😂😂😂
"Kawrawdee"... Okay.
Monks do!!!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
This is just a compilation of old videos. It's old.
Now try my Wudang style!!!
Every loss is a win
no matter what style you practice, in the ring all normal kicks and punches. you can test the fancy kicks and punches with a non trained guy but in the ring it's not possible. you're facing a guy who same level or near.
My Money is always on the one wearing the robes!
The Croatian fighter Mirko Cro Cop also beat the giant, Hong Man Choi (8:32) shown at the end, and without a groin kick.
Asian guys with shaved heads = Shaolin Kung Fu Masters 😂
Les shaolins sont invincibles et celui qui en doute a qui si frotté. Le MMA dla rigolade a côté d expert comment les moines shaolins. Ils ont mon respect et mon admirations.
Yi Long may not be from Shaolin but he visits the temple and makes homage. That’s respectable enough. Big haters in the comment section.
I thinkit depends on the individual not the style
It more about the fighter than the style.
😁😁😁good show, very entertaining
There is a reason boxers are so highly paid.
Yi Long actually was declared the winner against the giant Choi by kicking his tes ticles !!! How is that fair ??
Master Ken could kick both their butts.
Yo long is not a monk from shaolin. Temple has already confirmed it.
He is not a kung fu master. He was a kickboxer by trade. It's obvious (and on the books). He has no kung fu in his style what so ever. His style is like thai boxing (thai boxer here)
So, you are saying, His kung-fu skills are poor?" baaahaa
Do a little research. It is well known that Shaolin monks train independently and technically they don’t all know martial arts or train in a specific way.
Yi long... would not be able to stand there and take the blows from IRON MIKE TYSON.... Tyson could of beat all of them in the ring or the street... Ali and Holyfield to.
Click bait - picture shows Royce Gracie but no Gracie in video
That's Tein.
Nawet mnicha z Shaolin.
Those kung fu guys are not using only kung fu.
Japanese love draws. I heard even in baseball! 😮
I did not see the whole fight. So you make it seem like the judges were wrong and somehow subjectivity went in the favour of the karate guy. But who knows, since it is in CHina I would expect it to go against the Japanese fighter. Only one got a good know down and the guy did not "appear" dizzy. He evidentily was.
😢❤❤ Dudu will rescue princess!
Y in cage fights u have fighters that r masters in martial arts. N it turns out to b a boxing match.🤔
The eye lies to you. The Heart will fight as you cannot see you will gain other senses. A simple touch becomes a Hurricane..The smell becomes a hunt. Taking a punch opens a window of subjugation..You have no idea what I am capable of.
Get in the UFC with 1 style... UFC 1, 2 ,3 etc.
He's not a shalin monk self taught doesn't qualify
He is NOT a Kung Fu master, Yi Long
Different styles and different actual fighters can win
Notice all styles resort to boxing when it comes to real fighting
This is not a genuine practicing monk in the temple. Monks are not allow to fight with others in any reasons other than self defense. Its one of the 250 rules in the Buddhism law for every monks when they enter monkhood and cultivate in the temple.
Thai kickboxing is a much more effective stand up style of fighting imo.
Bruce lees favorite drinnk?? Wattaa
I once met this monk , he was an air bender and no one could beat him, he could take hundreds with a single fart.
I like traditional savate.
China brought in the film
I would love to see Bullshitto Master Steven Seagal in one of these UNCHOREOGRAPHED fights.
Not really "Shaolin" if its "self-taught" is it? Being "Shaolin" revolves around martial arts but its all the OTHER stuff they learn being a Monk.. Im no expert, but I dont think you can beat proper Shaolin Temple training. Its another level..
ቃለ ሕይወት ያሰማልን
ナガシマ懐かしいな
I have never seen a real Shaolin master in a competition fight. Yi Long is good but not a Shaolin master. If any of the rest is masters I doubt , but I see some good fighting!
