  • As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home kzhead.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.

  • It's so great to see a training video with a less easy dog breed. There are so many videos of people showing their skills with Border Collies, Malinois and ect. But this is where your knowledge and talent has to kick in. Very useful video showing the subtle nuances training such breed and the reason behind it. Thank you for sharing it. You mentioned that slip lead is your favourite tool. How would you compare it to a choke chain and Martingale? It would be lovely if you made a separate video about those and other training tools.

I have been doing exactly what you displayed in this vid, but until I saw this video I had no idea if my approach was sound or if I was creating more problems. I have never had a dog so independent/ stubborn in regards to having a natural dislike of a leash and going for walks. Historically it's always been me teaching my dogs to stop pulling, but never to start walking lol. Thanks again!

I find that your videos are the only ones that really educate owners on the psychology of the dog and the root of behaviours and success. • @@Jack-bi8mg he's doing so well! He's not toy or food driven at all so it's been a journey of trust and building a relationship with him to follow commands. His fear tends to override everything when he's scared so not quite sure how to maintain leadership when something has scared him during a walk 😩

      @rorayneadventures108@rorayneadventures1082 жыл бұрын
    • @@rorayneadventures108 yeah, I have a very fearful puppy as well. I find it can be frustrating. He does so well otherwise. And the guidance we got from a trainer to remove him or avoid the situation doesnt work when he needs to go out or to daycare. No amount of treats or distraction works when fear kicks in.

  • I LOVE Eileen! It's so funny to me how stubborn all the giants I have worked with are. Just like this! I always tell my friends and family "you don't so much train a giant, as you negotiate with one" Once you're on the same page though, they'll do anything for you! And I mean anything! I don't think they're less intelligent, just that they want to do things their own way, and will bang their heads against a wall to get there! Like Eileen with the fence, "I want be with Puppy, but this isn't working, let me try here or here or maybe here? No? Ok I do something else" 😂😂😂 It sometimes does require a tremendous amount of patience, but they're all so sweet it's hard to get really cross with them. Thank you for this very real video, Will! ❤️
