You are first
@@theblakerbrown9576 yes because they can watch earlier than everyone else
Good job self promoting
You don't say anything about it at 7:50 but I don't understand why he was granted access to see Moff Gideon's location at the terminal. Why is his face in the database?
This ep had pedro paskal from game of thrones and the knight king
Love the way Boba repainted his armour. Shows that he still cares and is not done fighting...
Yes!
Also shows that Disney still cares and is not done making more toy variants
Yeah lol I honestly thought he cleaned his armour lol!
Slave I is also overdue for a fresh coat if you ask me
I'm pretty sure he cleaned it first, and then gave it a fresh makeover
Did you miss the "we just call him 'Brown Eyes'.", call back to his line in S1E6 "...let me see your eyes."?
I didn’t realize that. Nice catch
Nice.
Nice catch
Good job nice catch
🔥🔥🔥
“Let’s just say they might recognize my face” is the most Boba Fett thing I’ve ever heard Boba Fett say in all of Boba Fettdom.
To be fair he said like 2 things in the OT so it's not a large sample size
I love how Mando looked absolutely confused on uncomfortable after he's taken off his helmet
Makes sense tho
He isn't used to making facial expressions
Pedro Pascal make it look so real
Someone pointed out on Twitter. The way he moved his entire head seemed as if he still had his helmet on. Brilliant acting by Pascal.
he probably felt naked as hell
I like to think that Mando Cara dune and Greef sat on Nevaro for hours trying to remember Moff Gideons speech
"I have a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you, if you let Grogu go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you"
@@PotentFrost so grogu contacted qui gon jinn, huh?
@@PotentFrost i was half expecting him to say this!!
@@BicameralMind (stroking my long, white beard) indeed sir, indeeeeed.
When that seismic charge dropped so did whatever I was holding.
I absolutely lost it lol
I was like "I need to hear a seismic charge go off" the first frame Slave I's silhouette appeared and knew exactlywhat was coming when the TIEs began to tail Boba's ship.
@@nolanf7023 same my dad thought I was a total nerd lol

The baby you were holding
When Boba said “they’ll recognize my face” I thought it was just because he would’ve done work for the Empire before, but the Clone idea makes much more sense
Then I saw HIS face, now I'm a BELIEVER.
Not a trace....of doubt in my mind....
I’m in love
mmMMMM-----OOOHHHHHH
That’s a fun way to look at this episode
Truth be told....this is quite likely the real reason for the title...no kidding
Never been so happy to see the Empire than in this episode.
Lol me too pretty badass.
Plus they got an aim upgrade. (for a few moments at least) 😂
@@BenFrankarts must've racked up a few kills for an achievement unlock
@@RedBravo216 😄😄😄😂
I love seeing things from the other perspective.
Except it wasn't the same exact words. Gideon says "It" and Mando says "He". Makes all the difference...
and gideon said a few moments and mando said soon
So Grogu is confirmed to be a male?
Got chills when Mando repeated the speech. Pedro Pascal did a great job there.
And not it will be mine but be back with me
@@capital_beaz4725 they’ve been calling him “he” since early first season.
I believe “The Believer” is talking about Din’s beliefs about the Mandalorian beliefs he was brought up to believe...
Oh word
That's it probably the true meaning of the episode name lmao
I thought so too and the fact that he's giving it up now all because of grogu
@@michaelll or because bo katan said that true mandalorians don’t care about hiding their faces
@@joelcortez3865 I think that also helps for sure.
Congrats to Eric on the engagement!
This is the way
Engagement ??? He’s getting married????
@@Isiah59 that's usually what engagement means no?
@@TheRandompaint he was speaking rhetorically
@@sh4rk535 I would r/wooosh you but it's not even funny anymore
That seismic charge though
boba should start an asmr channel
I straight up cried in pure joy when Boba dropped a Seismic Charge on the two TIE Figthers
Seeing Mando slowly becoming more acceptable to taking his helmet off is very satisfying
Probably wont be taking it off anymore cause apparently he won't be on set for season 3.
@@HaiTharImDavid says who? Source please.
@@HaiTharImDavid thats all bs lol... pedro isnt leaving a disney contract anytime soon😂😂
I'd rather him not remove his helmet anymore
It’s more his arc how he would sacrifice everything including his creed to save little grogu, sort of the father son dynamic Lucas always follows
The imperial officer’s alcohol bottle was half black, half transparent, and the white fluid inside wasn’t quite balancing out the darkness...
When Erik mentioned Star Wars Theory, I can’t explain the joy I felt😂

I love Theory.
I think it's called "The believer" because Mayfeld saw his face And now he's a believer With not a trace, of doubt in his mind
He couldn't leave if he tried
Props to you for actually pronouncing Mayfeld correctly instead of Mayfield which everyone else seems to be doing
But he loses the point for missing the pronunciation of "Jaster Mereel." Morels are mushrooms, not Mandalorians.
😶
Lol ikr its like every god damn youtuber says MayField
Well, "Feld" is German for "field". *shrug* xD
@@berlindude75 ok?
My favorite moment is the face Gideon makes when Mando repeats his words. It’s a mix of realization but also a bit of fear. It seems interesting as he hasn’t made this face when talking about or confronting Mando previously.
I loved it when Bill Burr's character started into "DJango Unchained, Dinner Scene Mode" when drinking with the officer. You just knew shyt was gonna pop off.
I felt it was more like the scene from Inglorious Bastards, but yeah they are both very similar scenes anyhow.
@@1Chasg Tarantino vibes, either way. The whole scene was tense
I have to watch the episode again. It was pointed out on Twitter that Pascals movements were brilliantly done as if he still had his helmet on, when he took it off.
Anyone else weirded out by them just leaving burr on the planet with no money or food? A planet where he killed a bunch of imperial soldiers...
It’s not like they owned him anymore than letting him go.
1. He was only driving the juggernaut.. Mando was doing all the fighting of the pirates.. 2. He could have easily.made friends in the village they passed where they saw the kid (snitch) and make a life for himself there.. I think he'll be just fine. Pretty sure it's not the last we've seen of him either..
@@therealjasonbueno IDK, he was pretty heroic. Why not give him a job? Or at least a couple credits. Prisons give you at least bus fair and the possessions you came in with when they release you
he'll be just fine.
Sameeee
This wasn't a episode of The Mandalarian this was a star wars theme bill burr podcast
I was totally expecting a "HOW ARE YOU" from his podcasts.
I knew that Imperial officer was gonna get shot by Mayfeld and Boba is looking mighty fresh in that newly painted armor 🔥🔥
But didn’t everybody “die” that saw mando’s face.
He “never saw his face”
He also “died” in that explosion lol
From a certain point of view.
@@sneakdza This.
Mayfeld is still alive. And while he may be "dead" to the Republic, Din still knows.
How you test if you have good headphones: listen for the low rumbling base right before the charge explodes
I haven’t heard anyone else talk about this but since Mando scanned his face, his face is now in the imperial archive for anyone to look up.
Yes! That's what I was thinking too. I don't know why more people aren't talking about that. Although it might be hard for anyone to guess that was the Mandalorian's face specifically, since all the witnesses blew up
last time i was this early the razorcrest still existed
:(
Lol

Now we get a Simba and Mufasa moment where Mando looks to the stars and John wick has his arms cross with a nod of approval.
Got chills on the last scene of hologram Mando reciting Gideon’s words. This is also my favorite “filler” episode of the series so far, Rick Famuyiwa is incredible.
I think Mando looked down at the child because he was reminiscing his life as a foundling
Yeah, he probably was a colonist like them before they were attack by the separatists
My first thought of the storm troopers was like, “holy shit, these guys can aim”
Yeah but the same troops couldn’t hit the heroes when they were escaping the officer’s mess. Still nice to see that the troopers aren’t completely incompetent
@@kevinwaycaster typical plot armor (but this one with beskar)
Nar Shaddaa (Smuggler's Moon) is a moon of Nal Hutta, the Hutt homeworld.
Not the Hutt homeworld. They took it from the Evocai natives.
@@elvinglass2465 Maybe not their world of Origin, all the same, their homeworld.
Nar Shaddaa also appears in KOTOR II, in which it's said Nal Hutta is the Hutt "central breeding ground"
Hmm, wonder if that's a subtle nod to Doctor Who? Shada?
Din taking shots in plastoid armour was truly badass, the plastic shattered and his pain was real, but his ability to fight past was epic!
I liked seeing him fight without his armor too
When I realized that Mando was directly quoting Gideon's speech from last season, I got chills. The look of sheer terror that washed over Gideon's face for just a split second was EVERYTHING.
Din's got plenty internal storage on his HUD so he just records everything and edits at night. Cool video as always.
Sin is slowly realizing its OK for a mandalorian to take off his helmet, I hope Pedro pascal gets some more FaceTime in the future
There is only one way, the way of the Mandalore....
Yeah *Din, autocorrection.
Feel like Boba's line was also a nod to 'Empire Strikes Back', maybe how he use to work very close to the empire.
Not pirates. Rebels. Pirates capture the stuff and then sell it. Rebels want you to leave, so destroy the stuff keeping you here.
Insurgents
Freedom Fighters!
@@custodiancolorzoo870 from a certain point of view
The scene where all three are sitting down and drinking, reminded me of the bar scene in Inglorious Bastards.
“The believer” is Mando.... and Mayfield... and Hess... and Gideon...and every main character in this episode. It all depends on your point of view. This is what Mayfield’s dialogue hints to. They all believe, to the death, in their cause.
Seeing Mando give off super-dad vibes was really cool, and it’s also a drastic change from where he started last season being mostly indifferent to the Child other than dropping him off to be trained by his kind
This video could not have dropped at a more perfect time
Ikr I was just about too sleep.
Mando absolutely does record everything if he’s like Sabine Wren.
There were many amazing details about this episode, but two (three?) are my absolute faves: 1. When Mayfield at the end is not sure whether they let him go or not, Mando makes this hilarious but delicate head movement - "get out of here.." made me laugh ;) 2. Has anybody noticed that in the canteen scene Din is the only person whose face is in full light? They sit at the table, Hess is with his back to the window, Mayfield is sitting at comfortably and talking, while Din has this sunlight falling right on his face. Not to mention this amazing acting, he behaves like a terrified animal that is frozen in panic after being trapped...
The few times we get to see through the mando’s helmet makes it seem like it could possibly record what he sees and hears. That would explain how he was able to say Gidian’s lines word for word
I loved the badass squad they got together for this episode.
I was thinking the same thing when the sharpshooter girls were picking off troopers left and right so they could escape. This group was 🔥
The Cycler Rifle Mayfeld uses at the end of the episode is the typical Tuskin Raider gun, since Boba had that staff and the rifle, that's where it is from. Idk i think thats cool 🤷♂️
I'm glad bill burr actually put a bit of emphasis on recoil because i do believe cycler rifles have semi physical projectiles. not sure if this was an intentional choice but i also like how he didn't over play the recoil as well since he is a rated sharpshooter he should know how to compensate for recoil
@@christianwalser888 but he is also out of the game for some time, was shoot at moments before, jumped onto the Slave I and was shootinf from a stand, while the Slave I was moving away.
A huge Easter egg missed, I feel, is when Valin Hess says, “...everybody thinks they want freedom, but what they really want is order...” and then smirks....he is alluding to the creation and rise of the First Order.
I say Din didn’t break his vow. He couldn’t take off his mandolorian helmet off in front of people but that was a storm trooper helmet lol 😂
Take a break Erik you've earned it
Everyone is asking about why Mando has a mustache, but my question is how is he in the imperial database and how did he have clearance to track moff Gideon?
This was my favourite episode by far. I rewatched the Mandalorian from the beginning just to prepare for this episode and it was 100% worth it.
1) Seeing Boba Fett in his freshly painted armor made me so happy for all the dads watching 2) Bill burr is an amazing actor. Mayfeld is now one of my favorite Star Wars characters. 3) This whole season has outdone last season which I didn’t think was possible
Seriously who does all the investigative work for these things? Give them a thumbs up for noticing killer details! They are the true heroes!
can’t wait to see mando hold the dark saber
Is no one asking why when the terminal scan Din Djarin's face, he access was granted? Was Din an Empire officer at one time?
no he was taken in by the creed to become a mando but who knows that could be a plot hole for all I know
I was wondering why his face would be accepted. Perhaps it is a sort of dumb terminal, that just scans against a database of known unauthorized users, and any other face would work?
I think it just records the face that accesses the information, & then correlates the 2 for future reference. Although I did first think it had to be Mayfield because of his Imperial past, too. Can't recall if they said that specifically, or hinted to throw us off. Or... The last Burr episode - maybe that was a hint that gang was all linked to Imperial forces, like how they met or whatever. They never said outright how they met or what their deal was. So maybe these have been hints Din was also Imperial for a bit?
Thank you for sticking to hard facts and related info for this video, hope you do more of this in the future
I literally rewinded the seismic charge scene like 7 times
Shoutout to Mentor Jaster, lmao calling that kid a snitch 🤣
You have no idea how much I look forward to your videos. You're like my brother from another mother. Greetings from Sunny Tlaxcala, Mexico.
This was definitely my favorite episode of the Mandalorian
The turnaround of content is unreaaal. The dedication
I feel like Mando remembered Gideon's speech because it may have left some trauma scars.
Richard Brake is also basically the Joker in Rob Zombie’s 31. His performance in that is amazing!!
This was hands down my favorite episode of the entire series
You. Missed the most obvious Easter egg. Mayfield says about the helmet that he can't see out of it the same way Luke did in episode 4
haha, I just visited those same Oakland cranes that the AT-AT's were based off of. It was crazy how similar it looked
Is Qui Gon Jinn's ghost going to help Din get his child back? He has a "particular set of skills"
I get the feeling these episode titles refer to archetypes not people, and so apply to multiple characters.
Same as “The Jedi” referring to Grogu and Ashoka
@@jordanjohns1991 Well "The Jedi" was confirmed to be singular in different languages
The stormtroopers have good aim because they're trained soldiers. They always miss because of faulty equipment and the Force.
It still would have been nice to see SOME of those blaster bolts fly right past their targets
The force was like "Nah I ain't helpin' this rebel alliance"
In my mind, I gasped when he said Operation Cinder.
Eric is the best thing I have found this year. I'm grateful I found this channel
Eric , thanks for the great job you do on translations so we get more info.
Bill Burrs character could say something absolutely devastating and I’d still crack up laughing simply because.. Bill Burr.
Bill burr is hilarious
Love how Bill Burr basically plays himself
He's probably my favorite character
Keep it up. It is details like this that keeps me going back to this channel
Thank y’all so much for all of these vids and the ones coming! Y’all deserve a rest for it. I’m so excited for Marvel and Star Wars’s future
Why would Mando's face grant access? Is he ex-imperial? Is his face even known in the system?
I think it just records the face that accesses the information, & then correlates the 2 for future reference. Although I did first think it had to be Mayfield because of his Imperial past, too. Can't recall if they said that specifically, or hinted to throw us off.
Or... The last Burr episode - maybe that was a hint that gang was all linked to Imperial forces, like how they met or whatever. They never said outright how they met or what their deal was. So maybe these have been hints Din is also former Imperial?
Maybe Mando was a shore trooper since we saw remnants of that armor type on him when he first appears . Course that us probably silly ...but would be cool if he was disenchanted with the being a bounty hunter and joined the empire then became sickened by what he saw of it and deserted .
@@tonycollins3505 But wouldn't his backstory (becoming an orphan after the imperial attack that killed his parents) not rule out him joining the imperials?
@@jeroen1989 It wasn't the Empire that orphaned him. It was the CIS, the main bad guys of the prequel trilogy before the Empire was created.
anyone else thinks that the transport fight was inspired by Indiana jones because the fight seems like a perfect indi fight
